  • As we know, fashion is cyclical and it seems as though 90's Armani menswear is having its turn by popping up on moodboards all over.
Question is... does the line hold up to today?
    --------
    New to Archer & Woods?
Whether it's a vintage Omega, a Savile Row suit, or a rustic french corkscrew, we want to provide an option that by far outdoes any new 'fast fashion' product in both quality and value.
With that in mind, we scour every available resource to find pre-owned and vintage pieces from brands that make them to last a lifetime. Occasionally we might add the odd high-street brand if we find something that fits, but they'll only be from pre-owned sources and in great condition. We select and quality check each item carefully prior to going live on site

Our watches are curated with a purpose; Great and interesting timepieces with patina, timeless design and a story. Working function is of course a prerequisite but please keep in mind that a 1960's Enicar may lose a few minutes here or there. Most importantly our goal is to provide a high-value alternative to cheaply made modern products.

Above all, this way of consuming is sustainable. Our packaging is reused or repurposed where possible. Nothing is perfect though, and we are always looking to improve. If you have any questions about what we do or suggestions on how we can do it better, please get in touch.

Were the stripes suits in men the most popular in 1997?

The British and American taste thing could be true - New Labour were just dripping in the stuff.

By 1997, Armani was the undisputed King! To call the 1997 style is a bit of an insult to the man himself. You really can’t judge 1997 style by 2022 standards. First and foremost, these are runway shows. Mostly suitable only for the runway and Matt Dillion. Beyond that, much of what we consider cool today is based on what we considered cool in 1997, mostly because Armani showed us it was indeed cool. I guess my point is that style changes, it grows, and develops. But this is foundational.

Yea completely agree! I look at these old shows to see how they hold up to today's aesthetic as a fan, and it's interesting to see them as a bit of a time capsule to what we used to wear (or want to wear). Also, just a bit of fun ;)
