Hi Ace This is one of your followers, Pam in Chicago. It looked like you liked eating the hot roasted chestnuts. It seemed like you weren’t familiar with them. Just remember the beautiful Christmas song, “Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire”. Roasted Chestnuts are a popular holiday famous treat in America and many other parts of the world. Happy Holidays! @meme-wk7xm I saw Anita Baker two rows from the stage in the auditorium Stravinski I believe it was. I went in 2019. I had a great experience and I look forward to going back soon!❤️
I just realize that for visitors Montreux or Geneva might seem like they're culturally like Basel because they're all in Switzerland but this is far from the truth. I don't think there's a country on earth that has this many cultural differences on this small of a piece of earth. Yet it works and we like each other with all our differences and are proud of our little country.
I love how the lady handed him the chocolate with the tongs. And he took the tongs aswell 😂 she tried to hold on but surrendered. Greetings from switzerland, hope you had a confortable stay✌🏼
Basel is sweet. The border is that tight, that there is an sports centrum at the border mid France, that is in France but is owned and run by Stadt Basel (Pfaffenholz). The local Culture on all three is an alemmanic Deutsch one mid the swabish culture (Lorrach), Alsatian (French Side) and Baselian (Swiss). The French Side has seen its local Culture heavily watered due to the flooding of many Outsiders there and the Flattening by the French State until fairly recently, of the local native Tongue, and thus, Culture. All in all though, clean and sheen Bit of the World and glad you like it!
This is a great video. My fist trip to Switzerland was in the 90s. I visited Bern for work. My taste buds were so limited I found a McDonald's after 3 days.

Great Video ACE! I wanted to travel to Germany, but after what you said about Basel, showcasing the cheese, the chocolate, the fondue, etc I'm definitely heading here too!
Just a sidenote: not only are groceries typically (and often by a lot) cheaper in Germany than in Switzerland, but also you can get the VAT which you paid back the next time you go to the same store (or same chain). (For that you need a form the shop will hand you out if you ask for it, fill it out with your Swiss adress and then get a stamp on it from the German customs when you cross the border back to Switzerland. Works for (almost) everything you purchase just as long as yout spend a mimimum of 50€ per purchase.)
