    I will be forever haunted by the story that Mel Gibson had told of his meeting with Walken. Mel was looking to meet actors that he might like to work with through no pressure/no act meetings. Walken started up a conversation regarding the most sinister types of torture. Mel said he had read a book on it so he kept up with him. He said people that were there had to leave bc it was that bad.

My little man would laugh so hard and I enjoyed his laugh so much that I would randomly play it and he would stop whatever he was doing and come watch and wait for that part. I would love to thank him for the happiness he brought to that little ones life! My little one just turned 18 on jan.3,2018.

    • @markuse3472
      @markuse3472 6 років тому +4

      If it sounds and looks and smells like a dog, it probably is. Neither he nor wagner reported her missing saying they didn't know until later. Right. Get a brain. Wagner refuses to speak to the police ABOUT THE WOMAN HE WAS OBSESSED WITH AND IN LOVE WITH and you THINK neither had anything to do with it?!!! If they were both innocent, why would Walken say "its a conversation I wont have" and that its a 'freaking bore' talking about it WHEN ITS A WOMANS LIFE INVOLVED, A FRIEND?! You can wipe your ass with your stupid excuses but the the dog is still a dog. Or a Duck if you want.

    • @elainesnow326
      @elainesnow326 6 років тому +8

      Markus E I think he won’t talk about it because he either doesn’t really know (maybe he was asleep on the boat - it was at night, after all) and if he speculates, he might face a big, fat lawsuit if he states he thinks Wagner was involved. I think Wagner killed her. She was a much bigger star than he was, even with Hart to Hart. He’d surely have inherited a huge fortune and possibly big insurance proceeds. Also, Wagner was bisexual - Natalie caught him with a man, and that’s why she divorced him before remarrying him years later. Apparently, Walken & Wood were flirting and Wagner was jealous - but of who? His gorgeous wife or her stunning co star? That & getting his hands on her estate definitely establishes motive. The real reason Walken probably refuses to talk about it is because it was a traumatic experience for him & he doesn’t want to relive it. If you were on a boat and someone with whom you were friends drowned, would YOU be eager to talk about it, especially if you had no idea what happened? I wouldn’t - and having important public figures involved would make me especially reluctant to discuss it. Chris is a smart guy - he doesn’t want to relive the anguish of his co-star’s death, and he doesn’t want to get sued by speculating Wagner’s involvement. Besides, what possible motive would he have for helping drown Natalie? He is straight, happily married (to his one & only wife - 50 years & counting as of today) and killing her would only have delayed or ended filming the picture in which they were both starring at the time. His career was kind of stagnant at that time; I doubt he would have engaged in any kind of illegality that would have affected his career negatively.

      He's not underrated. He's just as he says. He's himself and just remembers the lines. He's the same no matter what movie he's in. He should be just cast as Christopher Walken instead of the character. Lack of range in characters, because he only has one. Himself. The simple statement that he hates roles that are written FOR him. Know why they're written FOR him? Because they know he CAN'T perform the role as they'd like. You get Christopher Walken, not an actor. Walken's speech cadence is what gets the roles, not his acting ability.

As I worked up my courage to do just that, when Walken's friend arrived which was a relief to me. I was off the hook. Heheh, yeah I love that part. It's like acting is a thing he's got to do to get his clothing. Normal people go shopping -
      Walken learns his lines. He's a perfect example of profession matching personal needs. Honest about it too and I always like to see him act. Somehow you never know where he'll be taking a scene and then it just works.

      I think that his performance in that film is my favourite dark character he's played - although for range and character development/destruction The Deer Hunter is hard to top.
      Side note: why do men of Scandanavian background make such great Lucifers? Viggo Mortensen; Peter Stormare (Constantine)...if you include Mads Mikkelsen's own reading of Hannibal Lecter as Lucifer then you can throw him into the mix.
      Ok. Geek time over. Cheers!

    For a long time I felt badly for not having gone to Nam on a technicality.
    I didn’t want to go, but once I got out of my unit I felt remorse, that is until I saw dear hunter.
    It was that movie and Christopher’s role that dissipated any and all feeling of guilt that I might have had and was cured for ever.
    So I owe him a debt of gratitude for that, and I can’t begin to tell you how glad I am that I did not participate in one of the most immoral and inhumane undertakings in America’s wars of aggression.

    Favorite Walken scene: Deerhunter, where he's in a hospital on a veranda, he's asked a question by I forget who. He doesn't say a word but expresses his answer by expressions suggesting his disbelief at the question. It carries on longer than token. But e everything he does is golden. The story he tells Penn about the wolves ..."they come round." was great.

    Several years ago, I was active in an Internet forum based on West Side Story. David Winters, who played Baby John in the original Broadway production and A-Rab in the movie, occasionally popped in to share some of his memories of working on the show. He said that Christopher Walken had stolen his commemorative West Side Story jacket and never gave it back. West Side Story was one of Walken's favorite musicals and he once played Riff in a stage production during his youth. IIt was one of his favorite stage roles. This video indicated that Walken liked to steal things.

He was being such a bitch and to make his mood even worse, our limo didn't show up. So I hailed a cab and when it pulled up, I said to him, "You know, it's okay--I'll get a different cab. You go ahead." He goes, "Get in the car." I said, "No, really it's alright, I can take..." He then shouts at me, "GET IN THE CAR!!" Needless to say, I got in the car and we rode in silence up to his house. Ugh. Very unpleasant guy.
