As probably one of the few 30 year olds in the comments... I can tell you this sounds pretty authentically 90's... Which I think was pretty clever as the lyrics are also pretty representative of that time (& obviously relevant to so many of us now too... But the 90's was really the start of angsty lyrics for those of us screaming to be heard) Great song hun... Well done 🌹🌈🔆
PS. Visually I'm glad you used a roof shot :-p The amount of music videos shot on rooftops back then :-p Real pleasure to have watched/listened to this hun ❤
Fellow 30 year old (will be 34 in a few days) and will agree. A lot of music tries, but doesn’t quite hit it. This one definitely draws me back to female rock artists of the 90s - maybe it’s the vocal tones, guitars, mixing - it definitely hits whatever it is referencing. It’s more Natalie Imbruglia than Alanis Morissette if you had to pin a reference, hovering towards the soft but still has a little bit of attitude. The singer actually has a voice that is eerily similar to a The Primitives or maybe the Bangles, which were from the 80s.
But they could also argue that this is essentially 90s music, so it doesn't count. Heaps of music from every decade, subjectively sucks. But they all have subjectively good stuff too, including now (for pretty much all tastes).
Water “I was seven, to think about it. The fact that I still can’t forget about it.” The lyrics suggest that she was abused by someone when she was a child and that she still has a lot of lingering trauma that she’s still struggling with now. The song is about the fact that she needs to actually start opening up and getting help from people around her about her trauma. She also said in her Genius interview that the lyrics “Are you the same? I’m still the same” Are actually about her not being able to move on :(( Oh! And it’s also about the fact that she’s hesitant to ask for help because she doesn’t want people to treat her like a baby and show “fake sympathy” she wants them to actually care about her and understand what she’s been through and that yeah, she’s had it rough but that’s no reason for people to show her fake sympathy and baby her.
I hate the typical YT comments like "underrated" or "this deserves millions of views" but I really think that this song really kick ass and deserves more recognition, if someone says to me this is from late 90s or early 2000 I would not doubt it, few artists of now could do that, respect!

This sounds like it came straight off a 2000's coming-of-age movie soundtrack. I'm obsessed.
however many like this gets is the amount of times i'll listen to this song
This song brings me back to 2000. Also can we all appreciates Bea's white boots lol
As probably one of the few 30 year olds in the comments... I can tell you this sounds pretty authentically 90's... Which I think was pretty clever as the lyrics are also pretty representative of that time (& obviously relevant to so many of us now too... But the 90's was really the start of angsty lyrics for those of us screaming to be heard)
Great song hun... Well done 🌹🌈🔆
PS. Visually I'm glad you used a roof shot :-p The amount of music videos shot on rooftops back then :-p
Real pleasure to have watched/listened to this hun ❤
Fellow 30 year old (will be 34 in a few days) and will agree. A lot of music tries, but doesn’t quite hit it. This one definitely draws me back to female rock artists of the 90s - maybe it’s the vocal tones, guitars, mixing - it definitely hits whatever it is referencing. It’s more Natalie Imbruglia than Alanis Morissette if you had to pin a reference, hovering towards the soft but still has a little bit of attitude. The singer actually has a voice that is eerily similar to a The Primitives or maybe the Bangles, which were from the 80s.
i'm here and i'm 42 :)
@@tjhall9377 its clearly kurt cobain smell like teen kinda thing, but am glad that she used it
Club oldies here too lol. Love and support for Bea xoxo. She brings back tunes from that era and I'm digging it
Counting days like imm gonna die before its release...
This sounds like something that would play in a coming-of-age girly y2k movie and I’m in love😭
日本語のコメントです!日本人で見てくれてる人いたら嬉しい。。😭❤️
Me waiting 41 hours: 👁👄👁
Most people: Music in 2020 sucks! There's no originality!
Me: *cackles while listening to care*
But they could also argue that this is essentially 90s music, so it doesn't count.
Heaps of music from every decade, subjectively sucks. But they all have subjectively good stuff too, including now (for pretty much all tastes).
The cardigans are crying at this comment
This is essentially copying Hatchie copying her 90s influences
LOL, yes. For me, this is like generic 90's sounds for zoomers
Filthy Little Angels But Hatchie is copying the 90s... and they both started their acts at around the same time
This song is so iconic.
me listening the first time: ooh, i like it so far.
me listening the second time: *CARE, CARE, CARE YEAHHH*
Wait after listening to the lyrics more this is such a sad song :( I’m so sorry for what you went through Bea
ikr!! i didn't even pay attention to them until i tried playing it :(( damn
Water
“I was seven, to think about it.
I’m still the same” Are actually about her not being able to move on :((
Oh!
@@ina5860 I’m sad 😢
@@ina5860 I’m actually sad about it. I hope she’s moved forward soon
Looks & sounds like something straight outta the 90's.
THIS WAS IN MY FEED DONT GET ME EXCITED LIKE THAT BRO
This gives off old school vibes and I love it so much
This song blasts 90's vibes to every corner of the room.
SOREN AND AMIR KILL IT EVERYTIME AHHHHH SOOOO GOOD

This kind music at 90's when MTV become the trendsetter with pop & rock alternative music..
What a nostalgic era..
Ah yes....120 minutes, Unplugged, and Daria. MTV was the shit back in the day.
This song feels nostalgic and new at the same time!
I hate the typical YT comments like "underrated" or "this deserves millions of views" but I really think that this song really kick ass and deserves more recognition, if someone says to me this is from late 90s or early 2000 I would not doubt it, few artists of now could do that, respect!
SixTONESのラジオから来ました🍒めちゃくちゃいい曲ですね✨
all her songs such a VIBE
I don’t even know what this sounds like but it’s already my favorite song of 2020
This is definitely 90's all the way. I grew up in the 90's. The vibes are alive, and i dig it!
Gives me I’m cooler than you vibes and I’m here for it
She is beautiful. Her style is beautiful. When I look at her face, all I want to do is to draw her. No need to mention her music... It is ALL so perfect.
Ummm first of all, she definitely needs more recognition. She’s way too underrated. I’ve listened to her for awhile now and idk what it is about her that makes me feel like I’m young again (even though I’m still 14 lol). I love everything about bea🥺
めっちゃ好きなやつ!
I didnt used to like semi rock pop music, but now after hearing all the songs you released, i am so in loved with this genre now!
Why is there dislikes? Oh you gonna dislike a premiere then just don’t watch it..
At least they gave bea a view!
so many cool video effects that scream the 90s and the outfits are incredible. she is just so pretty
Oh here we go again, listening to this song on repeat
