I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G and removed the screen protector. It is typically the first thing I do when I get a Samsung device then I replace it with a matte protector. I was missing having a foldable device in the rotation. I got the cream one and in this video I remove the OEM protectors and install Matte ones. I unbox the phone as well but I am sure you have seen tons of Z Flip 3 unboxings at this point in time.

Hey, big believer in thanking people who've helped me. Ordered the screen protector you show, watched the video a few times and am totally impressed with myself and how it turned out. After going round and round with Samsung and their lack of resources to fix the issue (they admitted there's an issue with the initial screen protector) I simply did it myself. Bravo to you and your efforts. Thanks!
Thanks for watching and you are welcome 😁
That's what's needed, people who go first and take risks, teaching others a possible way, in every little thing. Thanks !
No problem thanks for stopping by the channel and checking out my video! 👍
Wet is always better. These were my only screen protectors back in the day! Love them. Nice work ma'am.
My hydrogels come in today I prefer them for some reason
@@GadgetGoddess Hi can u share the link for the hidrogel protector ? Very thanks 😊
Here is one for a clear hydrogel were you looking for matte? amzn.to/3Y6AWt8
@@GadgetGoddess very thanks and for the instalation guide :D
@@Robin_NX no problem thanks for watching
Really helpful video I was very nervous about doing this when the time came but you definitely eased my mind.
Glad I could help I've done it 4 times now... I guess they are getting better glue these days they are getting harder to remove 😄
Oof remember the 1 one, screen breaking by pulling it off. The ease from this video☺
Thank you for this video it has helped me decide to go ahead with the removal as Samsung wanted to much money to replace the screen protector as mine has lifted in the middle and the screen protector is not covered by the warranty even though my zflip is only 10 months old but they did say that if I were to take off the screen protector the rest of the warranty would be void thanks for this helpful video
No problem thanks for watching!
That cream is 🔥🔥🔥
It is pretty
Great video GG.
I have to mention something you did that was a brilliant move.
It may sound simple, but as I said it was a real good move .
The fact that you up in the left corner showed the removal of the screen protector on the Fold 2 simultaneous, was in my opinion 👍👍👍!!!!
Shows how far you've come in making videos GG!
Cheers from Norway 🤘
I was starting to think no one noticed lol. Thanks for mentioning that you saw it! Yes it was purposely done and my work wasn't over looked!
Thanks for watching
@@GadgetGoddess I noticed it, and I'm sure that the other viewers did as well.
It helps us viewers, and it also helps you by making many of us go and watch your other video.
👍
@@Eivind.A thanks again 😉
Thanks to you I got the courage to remove mine.
The screen protector was cracked and too damaged and was afraid to remove it until I saw your video.
It actually was better than leaving it. It was already collecting dust and could have damaged the screen below.
We don't have those screen protectors available here. I'll have to stay without one until I get one online
Awesome glad I could help. Yes leaving a damaged protector on would have cause more damage than helped for sure. If you like the glossy look there should be plenty of those out as well. I know a lot of people remove them and never go back though.
Same device again lol…… well in a few hours when i get home …….I literally done a search on matte screen protectors yesterday and nothing…..and now i get this notification,u are a legend, appreciate you Queeen
Hydrogels are the move mine come in from china today. If you can find those it will be the move for you if not these are fine. Hydrogels self heal and deal with scratches better.
@@GadgetGoddess ill definitely check these out I'll give the stock screen protector a few weeks until they come, I guess ebay is where I'll find hydrogens. Thanks again
@@craigfjackson understood how you liking it?
Love your screen matte videos. So relaxing to you install it like a pro. Have you found any anti glare privacy ones for galaxy z fold 3?
I don't use the privacy protectors. They require you to turn your brightness up unnecessarily. I did look for some for you and didn't see any with good ratings. Thanks for the comment I appreciate it.
When I saw 6 days ago I was pissed! Then I saw an hour ago. Awesome GG, I am hear to see this journey. Let's go!
Yeah uploaded 6 days ago LOL just went live an hour or so ago.
Great video I'm about to change mines
Hop to it! Thanks for watching sir
Thank you so much for sharing! I just bought my screen protector and hoping to install in the next few days. How's your screen protector holding up on your Zflip after about three months?
I sold this device needed more memory and sent the new owner protectors as well. I've done this with the z fold 2 and 3 as well.
I will tell you this works just as well if you install the protectors on top or the original protectors. If you experience any rising in the crease or edges just replace them. Even the Samsung original ones will bubble up or rise if you keep the phone long enough. I always keep an extra set.
Bro she did the unthinkable 😃
LOL I do it quite often with foldables. Thanks for dropping by.
got this phone back in the beginning of Oct, put a protector on top of the one that's already there and just pulled it off and saw the original is coming up at the bend... I'm thinking of trying a matte screen protector instead because of the glare I get with the sheer ones. Honestly, I never even knew it was an option until now!
I love these I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Thanks for stopping by and watching 🙂
Wow! I didn’t know we could remove the screen protector it came with.
It's your phone you can do what you wish. I've removed them from the z fold 2, z fold 3 and Huawei mate xs as well.
Need to replace my screen protector it's cracking where it folds
@@eseweeman go for it! It's simple
@Gadget Goddess it doesn't Create air bubbles or anything afterwards ? 🤔 does it go against any samsung warranty?
@@eseweeman I have not seen any issues with people trading them in after screen removal but if you are overly concerned just place the screen protector over the original. In most cases if you keep the phone long enough the screen protector will start to lift.
If installed correctly air bubbles that were there during installation should disappear within 24-48 hours it should not cause any new ones after installation.
RCS works now from the default Samsung app, so you don't need to install Google messages. Just an FYI for ya.
Ahhh but I hate the Samsung message app it lags
A Z Flip 3 WHAT!!!!! and you're taking the screen protector off WHAT!!!!! you're brave GG, great video.
Always WHAT you think this is lol 😆
Thanks for watching
@@GadgetGoddess 😂🤣😂
Wow you are brave! That looked like hard work. I'd be so nervous to change it only cos of the fold 😕
Thanks for dropping by after doing the fold 2 I came into this with no fear.
Why did this video not come up in my search and such a late notification, thats crazy just notice this video was days ago
It just went public today about an hour ago my members have had it for a few days. They will get another video today. My androids are always delayed with UA-cam alerts oddly.
@@GadgetGoddess why am I not a member, I'm slipping 🙈
@@craigfjackson I know everyone does not have the budget but they get the videos first well the Kings and Queens do.
i like that color for sure-You are brave removing that screen protector--i am to scared
I removed them on my Z Fold 2 when they told you not to LOL it is my phone dangit! Thanks for watching
I really love this brand of screen protector but just to let you know I actually use a debit card with the Cloth and wrap it up and I basically use that as the squeegee which I mean I've been doing that for years but it gets the job done
I use whatever is handy as well. You a real one! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your foldable 😊
10.08, I took my stock screen protector off , I had a few replacements of screen protectors but they all had bubbles after a few days. I will see so far it feels so much better without screen protector. I know Samsung said not taking off but they take 10 days to change it.So Far Nothing unusual happened just be more carefull no to scratch with sharp object. Screen is much cleaner all around
Enjoy your device and hanks for watching.
That color 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yeah I was going to wait on the pink but I have fallen in love with this color especially with some of the cases I have picked up! Thanks for watching and stay tuned.
Those look good. Great how to vid.
Thanks sir hope all is going well your way
Good video G.G. Do you still use this phone? Is it still in your rotation?
No I haven't had this phone in a while.

Be safe out there Jeff thanks for watching
Nice one GG, I thought it was a matte skin at first, I have been scared to put anything on my fold screen. So are those more so for scratches? Because these screens can't Crack right?
They are more for no glare or fingerprints. The hydrogels in waiting on will be for scratches etc they are self healing.
How's it holding up now would be nice to know☘️
I no longer have this device. As I've told others no screen protector last forever. I switch them on regular flat phones as needed just as I do foldables.
I'm trying to take my screen protector after 4 months of owning the z flip 3, and it is very difficult to get it started just like you stated.... seems fused
It's not just slowly pull it off. They don't fuse them.
Well well. I like it. 💯
Thanks sir 🙏🏾
Hey, great content!
Have you noticed any bubbling or lifting around the edges of the hindge on this screen protector?
Thanks!
Hey thanks for watching 🙏🏽
Sometimes the crease might come up slightly but not the edges. The factory one can do the same after a while and it doesn't run the full crease.
During season change I did have the crease rise on my z fold 2 I shot a video of it and then did a full replacement. I look at it like any other screen protector some remove it and don't reinstall another. I'm a matte fanatic though.
Team Matte
All day everyday thanks so much for watching TheHawksTV
I been looking for a video on the z flip 3 screen Protector Because I hate this original one they said it would avoid your warranty
They said the same for the fold. I purchased the phone it's mine so I don't care. If you nervous you can layer them I did on my first z flip last year.
@@GadgetGoddess oh ok sorry didn't mean to make you upset

@@GadgetGoddess oh ok yeah you gave me the confidence to do it so I'm gonna go purchase it and do it and you got a new subscriber
I'm still surprised you took your SIM out of the iPhone! 🙀
I sometimes carry it with me because some of my work apps and home security I have not gone through the headache of moving to the flip or pixel. I am not selling it...
Can you use a heat gun or blow dryer to melt the adhesive under it to make it easier I really don't want to rip my screen.thank again
Very informative video.
I would say a HUGE no to this... although people say this is flexible glass I can almost promise you will ruin the screen by applying heat to it.
The screens are not fused together by any means just take your time and pull slowly. If you have concerns the Fold 2 recommended putting a piece of printer paper in between. I do not see how they would help matters it would complicate things IMHO.
I know it can be scary but I have removed my fair share of these and to date I have not ruined any screens on any of my foldables. (the flip 3 being the cheapest of the bunch)
how has that matte screen protector worn in the crease area? I have had 2 OEM screen protectors peel at the crease. Samsung is replacing the second one this week
Factory screen protectors are like any other screen protectors they will need to be changed at some point. You can send it into Samsung everytime you need a new one or save some headaches and do the yourself. There isn't a special method I've done them on multiple folfables. If you want to preserve the factory protector install this one on top of that one.
Hey, a year later how did the replacements hold up?
I no longer have this phone. Screen protectors are like any other phones protectors. When they start to wear or come up you replace them. That is why more than one comes in a package. Even the OEM ones don't last the life time of the phone.
I have found on my latest set of foldables on the inside protectors they have not shown any signs of coming up etc when I layered them on top of the OEM when I unboxed them.
How long did this protector last for you? Is it still going?
I am using a different phone now but as I told another commenter the flat phones have protectors replaced all the time. When I get a new phone I typically get 3 sets of screen protectors. One for me to use, one in case the protector starts coming in while I own it and another set for whomever I sell it to when I move on to the next phone. These are some tough screens even though they are flexible and I know people who remove the original protector and never replace it with anything because they don’t like the feel. I think I replaced the one on my fold 2 once before I sold it the outside (or front protectors) are more of an issue for me on foldable phones. If anything needs to be replaced more it is that one due to putting cases on and off.
So would it be okay to take off the old screen protector and just not use a screen protector at all? Or do you think the screen would get easily damaged just from touching it? I've got two of these phones that the built in screen protector is falling off. Samsung is telling me to send my phones in. Not really interested in that! Thanks! : )
I know people who take them off but I use screen protectors on regular screens so I personally wouldnt. I drop my phone in my purse and keys etc or just random dust and things scratching the screen would drive me nuts.
These are just like regular screen protectors and regular phones. No screen protector will really work for the whole lifespan of a phone. I always buy extras just like if I was buying for a non folding phone.
Hey! Great video!
Just looking for an update! Do you still have this screen protector on your Z Flip 3 and is it still working well?
My original Samsung one starting lifting in the middle after 7 months of use and I need to replace it asap because it's driving me nuts! I definitely like matte screen protectors, but in the video, you mentioned these might be temporary until you receive a different protector. Would you recommend ths Skinomi or the other one you were waiting for?
Thanks for watching. Screen protectors get changed all the time normally on regular flat devices I change them on my foldables when needed as well. There is nothing wrong with this protector I just prefer hydrogel matte protectors.
I always but 3 when I purchase a phone. One extra in case I need to change it at some point. And another for when I sell the device I include one in my listing when I sell.
@@GadgetGoddess awesome! Thanks for that information! Really really helpful!
No problem I been replacing them for a while. I know people who just take them off and leave them off. If you leave it on and dirt gets under it that can do more damage than no protector at all.
@@GadgetGoddess Oh! That's good to know. Because I'm seriously thinking of removing the Samsung one right now but was reluctant. Sounds like it might be better for the phone for me to take it off.
Just pick up another one before you remove it just in case. The screen itself still has the glossy look to it the matte does resist fingerprints.
How is phone after changing the protector, because my OEM protector has started to come off
Same as before just less glare. If you want glossy it should be the same experience as before.
What did you use to wet it just water and soap
The spray that came in the box. I don’t know what the solution consists of but I did not use water and soap.
@@GadgetGoddess ok so if I bought rhe same one in video it will just come with it
@@cloverman3338 correct
Awesome thank you helped alot as my screen protector is staring to fail and I wasn't sure what to do but this made it seem easy
@@cloverman3338 no problem yes they all fail eventually just get a 2 or 3 pack and you will be fine.
How did you do it so smooth mine had a little micro bubbles and streaks in it 😂
Give it 48 hours or so they should come out if they aren't too bad. I'm kinda good with the screen protectors 😉
Nice. 🔥🔥🔥
Hey long time no see hope you are well
Does the screen protector get bubbly or abnormal around the fold in the middle?
I was prepared for this to happen on my flip because it happened on my fold but I haven't had this issue on my flip.
Braver than me to remove that inner screen protector
Hey if you going to do it do it big right. The fold 2 was the brave moment anything now is just 2nd fiddle. Thank for watching
@@GadgetGoddess I had to go back to iPhone
@@DonaldHawk I have the 12 pro max I decided against getting the 13 pro max
@@GadgetGoddess Motivation for Z Flip3 was carry around size, my 12 pro max digs into my waist. With no difference in camera between 13 pro and 13 pro max I am down sizing to 13 Pro. Hope it works out.
Good luck
Can I remove the firm and not use a screen protector? Or will the screen crack easily?
You can remove it... I've seen many others use it without one. They like how it feels better if the screen wasn't so glossy I might have done the same.
@@GadgetGoddess I've gotten the same screen protector as this video. I also removed the screen protector that came with the phone. It had a cracked crease on it and it was getting annoying. I'm glad you uploaded this video. It gained my confidence on not breaking the screen removing it. Thank you alot!
@@tricklee31st97 glad you got it fixed and glad I could help. Have a great weekend and thanks so much for watching.
Was that just water you sprayed?
No it's the solution that comes with the installation kit.
I just bought one of these. Is the screen protector supposed to look pixelated after application?
Some people complain matte protectors are grainy. I do know there is a difference in right after install and some time later.
I prefer matte and I don't wear corrective glasses or lenses.
👀👀👀
Damn. That cream color isn’t that nice
Does it lift from the crease cause all of the ones ive been putting does and i want it like the oem where it doesnt unstick on crease
I think they all lift eventually (even the OEM) some on the crease others along the edge. That's just the nature of it being a folding phone. If you keep it long enough the protector will come up. You replace it if it comes up like any other screen protector.
So why do samsung say not to remove the screen protector?
Because they don't want to be responsible if someone ruins their screen removing the preinstalled protector. I've removed various protectors from many foldables without issue. You just have to take your time.
HOLY SHIT!!!!
Ayeee you know how I do.
Your long nails made me very nervous watching this video, might try one of these protectors though.
I was nervous with my first foldable (z flip) but now I'm fine. I've had the fold 2, 3, this flip the Xiaomi fold, Huawei Xs, Mate X2 and now the Oppo find N.
They aren't as fragile as people think. Also you can install this on top of the regular protector as well it doesn't mess with the touch screen.
Thanks for watching 😁
I love my Flip, I do like the look of a matte screen protector over the glossy one that is installed.
