Thank you for providing a learning experience with FA-06 that is based on good learning practices, I wish Roland would have done something like what you are providing and shows their lack of understanding about how people learn in different ways. Great work and well done.
Thank you
Thanks for sharing the trick!

For more than a year I have been looking for a way to send several midi channels at the same time in my daw and I can't find it. It seems that in Roland fantom 08 it is impossible. I can only send one. How can I send more channels at the same time?
It is definitely possible, I onced even replaced the ridiculous basic arpeggios with multiple arps from a laptop sending notes in different midi channels from the Fantom. Are your zones configured right? Are all midi channel outputs active? Is the DAW listening to multiple channels?
can i use midi breadth controller with my fantom o6 directly without computer use for live programme
Which one do you use?
Is there a way to find what controls on the Fantom 0 can be used to control other midi devices or software?
Oh yes there are lots, for DAW, MIDI Out Messages, Midi Out CCs, Midi out via USB also… what are you trying to control? Another Keyboard? A DAW? A Software Synth?
Sir how how do I use fantom as a midi controller so that I can play other vsts....cause when I try to connect it to my computer it doesn't give any signal and I can't play other vsts but the only thing I can do is use it as a audio interface
Have you tried with the driver in generic mode?
does this also work when u have recorded a song as patterns on the roland so if you hit keys so its green say on one track and play the recorded patterns of a song where i record loops for bass drums and piano as an example but if i chaage say the bass track so thats lite to green will it then play back the song using internal sounds except the green lite track so it sends midi out to an external sound source say an AU or external synth hardware? cheers
For that to work you will have to configure the zone right for midi out…
@@soundformore I haven't bought a unit just checking carefully b4 I do or don't. So how do you configure that then? Cheers appreciate your help me.
I hope you are considering other factors before deciding if to buy it, like polyphony… it requires a video to explain in details, but at high level you edit the zone settings in the fantom to ensure that you have midi out with the right midi channel for the specific zone; when that is done you can change the preset in your laptop while the pattern is playing…
Hello, is work Fantom with PC Ableton version? Or only MAC system?
Both
Hi. I know that you are not using Studio One, but could you please help us with setting up Fantom to this software.Thank you
Ok I see what I can do
@@soundformore Thank you
Will this apply to other DAWs like FL?
As long they support the same plug-ins yes…
can you record some MIDI tracks in your DAW and then Record that MIDI from your DAW and into the pattern sequencer in the Fantom O ? I have lotts of MIDI files and recordings from drums for instance and it would be great to leave the Computer DAW at home and use the Midi I have already recorded in the DAW saved in the Fantom Pattern sequencer
Yes and you can import SMF files too to the pattern sequencer
@@soundformore thanks appreciate your help , so how do I record external midi into pattern sequencer is it easy to setup so if I play a midi track in the daw what's the process of getting it in to fantom 0
Why do you have to record them when you can import them? Unless there is a specific need?
@@soundformore because id have to open daw save midi tracks as SMF files copy them I assume to USB stick and was thinking if you could simply play a track in the daw and as it plays record it into fantom in real time sequencer as midi ... That's what I was asking. One of it is in daw as SMF files
I do not think the recording will be shorter as you need to ensure instruments are aligned by midi channel including drums, then you need to establish the right connection between the DAW and the Fantom including synch and then hit record and play, wait for the play then stop and then save in the Fantom… for each song… unless of course the midi files were first created with the Fantom. Are the midi files entire songs or just part of a song? Either way you have work to do…
For some reason my fantom doesn't recognize its connectied to the computer. I got it working for sending midi out and as an audio intervice but daw ctrl still say plz connect to computer. I tried on 2 computers. Frustrating
Did you change the driver version on the Fantom?
@@soundformore ah no I didn't do that! Thank you
Let me know
@@soundformore It worked thanks alot you made my day. 😀😀😀
Great
