EverSD is awesome and a great addition for the SPs. The SP is a pocketable device and with EverSD you can take your entire collection with you without having to haul extra cartridges around too. There is a fix for the sideways loading on the EverSD Discord. Eric Smith made a great tool to be able to backup the SPs pre-installed games. So if you have more than one SP, you can have all the pre-installed games for multiple SPs on the EverSD. The best thing though is having peace of mind that all your cartridges are backed up in case any of them get bricked. Keep up the great content PK!
Just to point out that an EverSD is going for about $45 on top of the $60 for a super pocket. There are way cheaper options with a better experience out there.
No kidding , I have an R36S and an RG35XX which are significantly cheaper and offer a better experience overall. Anyone who bought both of these things together and don’t own any evercade carts completely missed the point of my video and completely missed the point of evercade and why you would buy . This is why in my video I said not once, but twice to watch my other video otherwise you’re not gonna understand the point. I have no interest in remaking my other video.
Johnny Depp encourages pirates at sea. Joking aside, the ability to sideload opens the door to support purchased ROMs from indie devs. That's a pretty cool additional feature beyond the reassurance of back ups.
Your collection builder script needs an update! The current version properly handles the SP's native portrait screen. The current version also has the ability to turn off and on cartridge updates to your collection builder sdcard so blaze cart updates can be blocked. I also have a seperate "app" for SP that allows owners of only the SP to make cart backups - no VS required. Both of these are available in the EverSD discord.
I really need to buy an EverSD. I don't care about another device that plays RetroArch (I have so many) but a cart that can backup all my Evercade cartridges in one that'd be cool.
Absolutely! If it couldn’t back up the games , I would definitely have no use for it, because I already have other handheld emulation devices . And I feel like most of the people in the Ever SD discord feel the same way. So many people that I’ve talked to in that discord still our big fans of what blaze is doing and continue to buy the carts in spite of having an Ever SD. I love that this device allows me to have control of my purchases.
so how do you back up cartridges on super pocket (n.b. I only have a super pocket and none of the other systems).. would be nice to see you do a tutorial on how to use it... I would be interested in an ever SD.. but need to see it working first
At the moment, I currently don’t have any carts to back up because it’s been a little bit since I found an evercade cartridge that I just needed to buy right now. If you have any issues that can’t be answered on the EverSD website, I’d highly recommend checking out the EverSD discord. There are a ton of very knowledgeable people on there.
Planning on buying an EverSD at some point, and now that the Super Pockets are supported (I have the same Taito one) it might be even more tempting. Now, I was (and still am) mostly interested in the EverSD to simply backup my collection (which is about 50 carts so far), but I admit that being a fan of the Super Pocket form factor.... maybe I'll use it for combining all my carts into one. But some comments here got me thinking.... I mean, I think most people buying an EverSD continue to buy Evercade cartridges. We know that. No one is buying an Evercade console and an EverSD to play "unlicensed" content as there are much better and more cost-effective alternatives to do that out there. But my question is... what do game companies themselves think about this? Could the existence of the EverSD be seen by some companies as an argument against releasing their games on the Evercade platform? If I was running such a company, I wouldn't care and would gladly release my games on Evercade carts, but I'm not these companies so I don't know.... But I know that in my case, an EverSD would be kind of an "insurance policy" in light of the ton of bricked carts out there. Haven't got any bricked cart yet, but I'm sure I will at some point. So the EverSD will make me continue to buy Evercade carts, knowing I'll be able to back them up. Not having one would probably make me a LOT more hesitant to continue buying Evercade carts. In a sense, Blaze kind of NEED the EverSD to exists. Otherwise, I think a lot of people would have abandoned ship by now. In a sense, I'll be buying an EverSD to keep myself buying more Evercade carts.
That’s a great way of looking at it, it really is just an insurance policy. nobody in their right mind would buy an everSD for piracy considering you can buy a Chinese emulation device for 35 buck That’ll work even better than a supermarket with ever SD. Yeah I think the reason a lot of companies don’t want to put games on Evercade, has always been the security issues. Especially if it’s some indie game that will only play as a native game.
I was talking to Eric Smith ( he left a comment on this video) and from what It sounds like is we’re using an older version of collection builder that has not been optimized for the SP is what I’m gathering. I haven’t had a chance to try to fix it yet. But as you said, it still works, so it’s not too much of an urgent matter for me at least anyways at the moment .
Yeah, to get one you typically have to buy it from the EverSD website. I got lucky and found one for $30 on eBay. Most people probably won’t get that lucky though.
@PKInTheUniverse Thanks for the info I'm really looking forward to backing up my cart collection & I'm really hoping they get compatibility with the EXP that would take the EverSd to a whole new level imo.
Well there are like 1500 GBA games in existence so it’s kind of big question. I imagine they work alright since Evercade has a handful of titles that were GBA games .
You already asked that question on my first EverSD video , and I’ll tell you what I said the last time I have absolutely no idea I’m not an expert on this
I recommend checking my video on ever SD that I recommended checking out twice in this video. I literally answer that question. If you’re buying an everSD just to pirate games you’ve missed the point of both evercade and EverSD.
How to tell me you didn’t watch the video without telling me you didn’t watch the video. I have an R36S and an Anbernic 35XX. I don’t need this for piracy , you weirdo . It wouldn’t make any sense to buy the ever sd for the purpose of piracy.
@PKInTheUniverse you literally show other games loaded on this and in other comments you say "great way to expand your library". Seems you are deluded enough to think that every single person using this isnt just adding their own Roms which is so dumb. Sometimes you just need to tell people the truth.

Very informative enjoyed the the video just share it on my F.B. group cheers 😎💪💯🔥.
Thank you, I appreciate that !
I've just bought a Taito Super Pocket and the EverSD is already on my radar. It's a nice product to expand your game library!
It really is! But the overall the point of using it is to back up your carts, there are a ton of other devices that play ROMs for far less money
Just to point out that an EverSD is going for about $45 on top of the $60 for a super pocket. There are way cheaper options with a better experience out there.

Just for the record lol I took a shot every time you stated ability lol 🥴💯👍.
I hope you knew where you were when you woke up the next day. 😆
i've got an Ever SD, got it about two years back i've not even used it 😂
Might be worth checking out
Indeed, helpful updates! I remember you using that handheld in a short or two
Yeah, it works really good
That's cool and all but I don't even have the time to play the inbuilt games on my Taito Super Pocket :-) Keep up the awesome work!
Indeed, even a not patched Taito super pocket has tons of games all ready to play.

I figured it was something on my end. I was like, there’s no way they didn’t optimize collection builder to work on this .
I really need to buy an EverSD. I don't care about another device that plays RetroArch (I have so many) but a cart that can backup all my Evercade cartridges in one that'd be cool.

Very cool! I just got one
Awesome!
I still need to grab an Ever SD so I can fix my broken game, hopefully lol.
Yeah, hopefully it works

I wonder what “abilities” this has
Someone counted 16

My collection builder loads the menu sideways too. Hope this can be fixed. Not a deal breaker since the games do play correctly

Is EverSD only available directly from them? Are there any U.S distributors for EverSD
Yeah, to get one you typically have to buy it from the EverSD website. I got lucky and found one for $30 on eBay. Most people probably won’t get that lucky though.
I don't have a Super Pocket but this is very super.
It really is
Huh. That's pretty cool.
Indeed!
Here’s the previous video where I talked about the topic of Ever SD.

I have an EverSd on order do you know can it backup the built in content on the various Super Pockets 😊
It won’t back up the built-in games, but honestly, you could just find the ROMs for those games on the Internet and put them on your everSD
@PKInTheUniverse Thanks for the info I'm really looking forward to backing up my cart collection & I'm really hoping they get compatibility with the EXP that would take the EverSd to a whole new level imo.
Can you upload a video using the software?
I kind of already did that with my video called “the truth about Ever SD. “ at least I think I did, it’s been a while since I’ve looked at that video.
He who dares wins lol. Just like the early 2000's again, DS and an R4 card style but now for Super Pocket instead. 😉
Truth!
I really like the Super Pocket but my 'man hands' hate the controls. But now I'm super excited to hack that firmware!
Yeah, the eversd software is pretty sweet.
💯
How stable are gameboy advance games on it?
Well there are like 1500 GBA games in existence so it’s kind of big question. I imagine they work alright since Evercade has a handful of titles that were GBA games .
You said "ability" 16 times during this video not counting the time it appeared on screen.
How many drinks did you take?
I was not drinking. I had two drinks of soda and some water but not while watching the video.
can you play dragons lair amiga/laserdiscversion daphne with eversd?
You already asked that question on my first EverSD video , and I’ll tell you what I said the last time I have absolutely no idea I’m not an expert on this
Expect comment from me tomorrow.
Thank you
Just get an analogue pocket 🤦♂️
Its expensive
You missed the point of the video
Just buy an Anbernic. Why on earth would you bother with this. Just Pirate software like everyone else.
I recommend checking my video on ever SD that I recommended checking out twice in this video. I literally answer that question. If you’re buying an everSD just to pirate games you’ve missed the point of both evercade and EverSD.
@@PKInTheUniverse 🤣🤣🤣
@@PKInTheUniverse perhaps just admit what you want it for. 🤣🤣🤣
How to tell me you didn’t watch the video without telling me you didn’t watch the video. I have an R36S and an Anbernic 35XX. I don’t need this for piracy , you weirdo . It wouldn’t make any sense to buy the ever sd for the purpose of piracy.
