Great video as always John. I've noticed the Alpha reviews being posted by the usual suspects and really disappointed that it appears Blaze never sent you one for review as I and most of the community consider you to be the go-to UA-camr for anything Evercade/Super Pocket. You're professional, honest and don't pull your punches. Don't ever change and keep up the awesome work!
I agree they are bigger channels, but i think it's more to do with where those channels come from as Blaze seem very driven to break into the American market alot more at the moment imo.@darthwiizius
Thanks Jamie. Sadly I dont control what Blaze send out. I'm not generally on the freebie list. Getting it free isn't an issue, would happily pay to get it early. Anyway, yeah usual suspects getting them. Not surprising. I'm actually surprised SO many have been sent for review purposes.. cause these things are not cheap. Its quite clear that they are heavily trying to crack the US market rather than elsewhere. I dont see this Alpha being a long term plan. I could be wrong..
I think you got it bang on Crazy Burger. It certainly has the perfect mix of TAITO games. Which are fun on the go, for this smaller handheld. Plus it wins over ALL the others, due to the obvious fact. That NONE of these games are on Evercade yet?!!! It’s still crazy that it goes one way, but not the other?!… 🤔
Taito definitely number one.. I would go Capcom for 2nd (I already own both) as there is no dedicated Capcom cartridge. Atari may have 50 games but many of those have aged badly (night driver) I am hoping for more Commodore 64 cartridges. Keep up the good work Crazy Burger.
I still stand by my decision to get the Capcom Edition, as so many games featured on there invoke lots of nostalgic memories. However, if I was to pick up another one, then it would be the Taito Edition. I'll have my own review of the Super Pocket coming up soon on my channel.
Nice video and I pretty much agree with the list. The Taito version is great. Still playing through the Technos edition, it sure is one for the double dragon fans. But all of the super pockets released are great buys.
I totally agree with this, the Technos one has mostly games that are best for 2 players on a single player handheld and is really only good for Double Dragon fans who missed the Technos carts and don't own a Switch since most of these games are on Switch Online and in the Double Dragon & Kunio Bundle, the Capcom one basically just has the same games as the EXP but fewer, and the Atari and Taito ones both have a great selection and variety of games, but the Atari one isn't for me since I already own Atari products with most of those games on them including the Evercade Atari carts...
100% agree with the order. For me, Taito wins because it has my favourite games AND they seem well suited to the system. Atari: second due to the sheer number of items and how many of them are still solid. Capcom at three, but for different reasons: too many just aren’t well suited to the device. And Technos bringing up the rear due to the games selection.
Agree with the the ranking. Taito just has the games that matter. Atari has great value. Capcom is hobbled by poor controls and too much Tate. Technos..well at least they gave us the version of Combatribes where you can select the character this time.
Since I am a big beat ‘em up fan, I really want River City Ransom and I have been eyeballing the Technos Super Pocket. But. I already have the Taito Super Pocket and I don’t see a point in getting the Technos one for one or two games (especially since I picked up the Technos arcade cart that already has a good chunk of them).
I think if we went strictly by the quality of included games the Capcom unit would be best, if we went by cosmetics the SE Atari one is nicest. The Taito has almost the quality to match the Capcom on software, and the software is harder to get, and the standard unit was before IMO the launch of the woodgrain cosmetically the nicest. I like the bubblegum aesthetic over the loud Capcom aesthetic. The Tecnos one looks like a Mk1 Mazda MX5. The red and black Atari does also look nice, Blaze really did a nice job with both versions.
One word, Rastan, the fact it has the arcade version, so Taito has to be the top. Atari looks the best, but when you make a limited edition it makes it a bit higher.
I've been debating giving one of these a shot. I got the OG Evercade handheld, the OG VS console and am up to date on carts...I think I'm going to save up for the XP handheld, specifically for the tate mode as I love my shumps! If I were to purchase one of these, I'd go with the Atari or the Capcom one. A quick question with the Capcom one Mr. Burger. Do the fighting games on that one control good in regards to pulling off special moves?
I ordered the Technōs cuz i love Double Dragon 😋 also ordered the Interplay collection 1, Earthworm Jim was a nice game, well dunno how the console Version is, only played the Windows 95 Version as a kid
Wish they'd concentrate on releasing carts instead. Not overly impressed with the recent ones. Legacy of Kain by far the best one on the system if you actually want to play good single player experiences!
Tatio is my number 1, being the only one I have. I did like the Atari when we got our hands on it in July. And the Technos just like the cart is not for me at all.
The problem with the Capcom one is Streetfighter 2 is pretty much unplayable for me. Those heavy punches and kicks being on the shoulder buttons and no way to reconfigure the keys. The mighty Ken becomes Ken Barlow 😢

Yeah, I know the channels like Metal Jebus have big subscriber bases but Burger covers everything Blaze do in much finer detail.

Out of all the "Reviews", I enjoyed 2 of them that I thought done a great job.
@CrazyBurger Looking forward to the definitive review when you get yours :-)
I made the right choice when I decided to buy the Taito edition. The games are great and the green color is so pretty! ❤
This is the exact same order I rank them in! 😁
Great video Crazy Burger i got to agree 👍
Good list. I completely agree with your order. Thanks for the video.

Who knows what goes on in those meetings regarding the licensing restrictions etc It is a pity but maybe in the future there will be a Taito cart.
Taito definitely number one.. I would go Capcom for 2nd (I already own both) as there is no dedicated Capcom cartridge.

Night driver is borderline unplayable. Some of them really need a spinner/paddle to play them well.
Nice one Crazy! I agree with your picks but also, depending on the weather both Atari & Taito are up there! 👍

Got to agree with you John on this … That Taito Ed. is pretty hard to beat with some classic titles included 💯💯
Nice video and I pretty much agree with the list. The Taito version is great. Still playing through the Technos edition, it sure is one for the double dragon fans. But all of the super pockets released are great buys.
I got the Taito one first, Atari when it was available. I almost got the Capcom, but was more interested in the Atari one, so I am glad I waited.

@@JohnnyProctor9 Ah that's always a topic forget. The 2 player possibility. Thanks for reminding me.

Yeah I noticed that.. maybe it'll get a patch on the cart one day so we can choose any character to start.

My red and black is finally on its way, so will look at it next week.

You can pull of the special moves yeah but the dpad isn't great. Also its Hyper Fighting. Unbelievable tough. One of the hardest Street Fighter games.
@@CrazyBurger Thank you and I hope you're having a great day! I struggle with that game also! :D
@@davidmartin3280 Ha yeah all good. I'm not a fan of hyper fighting. Absolutely loved championship edition. Hyper is for the hard-core.
I ordered the Technōs cuz i love Double Dragon 😋 also ordered the Interplay collection 1, Earthworm Jim was a nice game, well dunno how the console Version is, only played the Windows 95 Version as a kid
Are the games on the cartridge? (can you put it into an VS-R or Alpha and play the games)
What charging block is best for the cord
Most should be fine, as long as its connected to the mains. Just avoid charging via a PC or an xbox or other device like that.
Mortal Kombat super pocket next please.
Lol gimme a cart first. That's surely got to be on the plans for 2025.

I'd rank Capcom at the bottom because I already own a compilation of those games. Taito and Technos would likely be among the top.
It’s been 3-4 weeks-isn’t it time for Blaze to release new hardware again?🙄
Lol soon. EXPRS. Next year.
The problem with the Capcom one is Streetfighter 2 is pretty much unplayable for me. Those heavy punches and kicks being on the shoulder buttons and no way to reconfigure the keys. The mighty Ken becomes Ken Barlow 😢
@@jamie74gemini87 lol. Plus it's hyper fighting. It's brutally tough.
Crazy burger per favore potresti aiutarmi a comprare un Atari edizione limitata? ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wish they made the wood grain Atari the standard version instead of limited that is sold out. The basic black and red Atari looks way too generic
