- The Kaitag language is one of the Dargin languages of Dagestan, a republic of Russia. Spoken collectively by nearly 500,000 people, the Dargin languages constitute a branch of the Northeast Caucasian linguistic family. Specifically, Kaitag is most closely related to the Dargwa language, which is co-official in Dagestan alongside Russian, and several others: Aghul, Avar, Azerbaijani, Chechen, Kumyk, Lezgin, Lak, Nogai, Rutul, Tabasaran, Tat, and Tsakhur. Greetings, good day. My name is Magomed. I'm speaker of Kaitag language. Kaitag is a reading in the southern Dagestan. There we have everything: high mountains, dense forests, a quick river. It's a beautiful place. Also we have many other languages around us. For example, Tabasaran, Kumyk, Kubachi, Aghul. Then, together with Kubachi, Tsudaqar, Aqusha we form Dargic language branch.
Now I'm getting education in Russia. I've learned many skills, and this place gave me big knowledge. And also I've been though quite a lot. These 5 passed years made me very tired. One more year is left. I'm ready to get back home soon, with God's help.
These times our culture is disappearing quickly, to huge sorrow. But despite this tragedy I'm not lying at rest. 5 years ago after coming to this university I've became aware of our difficult situation. With anger, being an engineer, I've set the goal to build modern tools. Today all of our people come together to elevate Caucasian langauges.
The time comes to show our stand. Wise, fearless, acting in correspondence to the time - will win.
This is what I had to say. We will see what's coming.
Caucasus is a real treasury of all these unique languages! Thanks!!!
Fascinating. Sometimes it sounds as Finnish and then it's that click sound like in Xhlosa
also there seems to be a turkic element to it as well, very unique
The "turkic" element is a result of the Islamization@@Cocologs
There are no clicks. They're ejectives.
very interesting. Just a suggestion but it would be great to see more conversations on this channel. Just two persons talking about whatever.
interesting and beautiful language.
It's always a pleasure to hear from you-wikitounges. you are doing something great.
Very interesting ejective consonants. I’m not used to hearing very many of them outside of the Maya language family. This is very definitely not of that family though.
The number of consonants in Caucasian languages is amazing. This language alone has 62 different consonants.
Outside Mayan, pretty much all languages of North America have ejectives. Navajo has some very poppy ones, as do all other Athabaskan languages. Also check out Salishan, Sahaptian, & Wakashan languages...
Кайтагский Диалект Даргинского языка интресный
im caucasian, my parents didnt teach me :( but its sounds like persian!!!

Можно узнать с какого села вы ? Сама с Кайтага, но не поняла всю суть разговора.
Он с листка читает, сам языка не знает. От этого и не правильно произносит некоторые слова. Городской парень в общем.
Я муйринец и разобрал что он говорит , хотя мой говор кординально отличается от его , я просто знаю чуть чуть особенности кайтагского говора
Wearing his chapak hat indoors? The people there are one of a kind, that's for sure...
For the video maybe

Ниссала говорят Кубачинцы, а Кайтагцы говорят нищщала. Это новый лингва - франка язык?
Ниссала кайтагцы тоже говорят, это значит "наш", а нищщала это "ваш"
@@ka1tag "ты" как будет у вас?

@WulfsigeDagestani-w8l нет н какой предвзятости к кайтагскому наречию даргинского языка
I expected rich consonants from a Caucasian language, go them. No complaints.
Very interesting language, it seems he makes some clicks in the back of his mouth
i keep coming back to this, the kaitag language really is one of the most precious gifts history has left us with
loving these ejective consonants hahaha
He's a pretty boy.
You should ask Bianca Orqueda if they want to speak Nivaclé. They sing in Nivaclé here on UA-cam.
it was one of the dialects of the Dargin language. Assalamyalekym nyra ghaikysira dargan medzichiv. aradesh !)
Is this closely related to Avar and Chechen?
Hello. I am Muhen Dargwa.
Speaker is Kaitag Dargwa .
We have more General words. But these words are all market trading. We have much more in common with Crimean Gothic, Proto English, partly with Japanese and Basque. I personally misunderstood the speaker. For he spoke Kaytak (Heil Dak ) dialect.
Это даргинский язык точнее диалект Даргинского языка
All three are Northeast Caucasian, so they are related indeed
Kaitag sounds like a Chechen dialect with Germanic influence. By the way: I love that Magomed wore the traditional Kavkaz style hat/ shapka. KAVKAZ SILA/ Кавказ сйла❣❤
Wherein do you find „germanic“ influence? (asks a German linguist)
@@HarryGuitмне тоже интересно стало
Это очень красивый язык кайдагский язык диалект ирч/амулский.
Хорошую работу делает Магомед
thank you for the transcription!!
Sounds influenced by Hebrew to me tbh
It’s like Russian and Arabic mixed
It’s Lyle
The only phrase I know is Аллагьу акбар
KAYSY SShAY
(ADENE'A DVKNZ)
ÉATV JAŽAENË CŽUELV
I understood "məsələn" and amma
He also uses some Azerbaijani words, like “amma” (however) and “masalan” (similar to Azeri “for example”).
It's Arabian words😊
These words are actually loanwords from Arabic
@@faROCK03After all, both Dagestanis and Azeris are Muslims
it made me think of Arabic when he said as-salamu alaykum and then it kept sounding like Arabic
In fact, Caucasian languages are absolutely not similar to Arabic, as they are rougher. "Assalamu alaykum" is a Muslim greeting, as both Arabs and Caucasians are mostly Muslims.
@@samirmikhraliev4299 I think he knows that. I believe he talked about the psychological effects of the Arabic greeting in the language. I mean this language sounds nothing like Arabic it even sounds more like Xhosa with all those clicks 😅
Had he said AVE it would’ve sounded like Latin?
same
@@igorjee yup
Are you sure he isn't just speaking a dialect of Arabic? lol jk.
Это Даргинский язык, из арабского было только приветствие так как он мусульманин, и это абсолютно другой язык никаким образом не похож на арабский в словосочинение
Sounds almost exactly like Arabic.
I totally disagree. This has lots of consonant clusters and lacks the long and short vowels which gives Arabic it's distinct quality.
No.
SOUNDS NOTHING LIKE ARABIC
Had he said AVE it would’ve almost exactly sounded like Latin?
This is just my personal opinion. I understand other peoples opinions are different. I speak English and I only know English.
It sounds like Arabic to me.
