Smart move on the FelPro gaskets. For the readers, DO NOT use the Edelbrock gaskets. I installed my Pro Flo4 on my Bronco using the Edelbrock ones.... later that night a bunch of guys on the forums told me they leak and are garbage. 2 Failed O2 sensors later, i pulled it back off and used the FelPro's. No more leaking coolant into the exhaust ports. The Edelbrock gaskets split and leak almost immediately.
I install the FITECH go street 400 on a 75 Bronco with a 351M making 300hp, I had all the same heating issues and controller fail and ecm fail which had to be sent back to FITECH. I solved the heat issue by venting the hood with a scoop. It lowered the engine bay temp by 35%. FITECH customer service was just horrible to deal with. I installed the same unit on a 44 GMC with a 350, same thing, hand held controller failed. In my restoration shop, I will be trying the Edelbrock and the FAST EFI systems before I waste anymore time and money with FITECH. Thanks
I went with Holley Sniper TBI. The handheld unit is ok but I primarily turn with my laptop. I've been super impressed by the power and drivability compared to a Holley 650 vacuum secondary carb. I'm an Edelbrock guy but I wasn't ready to go full multi-port yet. All I did was pop off the carb and slap on the throttle body. Next on my list is an entry level vortech centrifugal supercharger. That should put me at the limit of my 650hp Sniper unit.
Back in my work days, the company I was with expanded into the US market. Our product was more exy than our competitors. But we answered the phone. I was amazed at how many of our customers had horror stories about being hung out to dry by previous suppliers after they bought the product. It's made me really cautious about buying stuff from US businesses. So it's really great to hear about your experiences with Edelbrock.
I know this video is a few years old BUT I think edelbrock is hands down worth the money. With that unit, you get individual injectors for each cylinder which is also probably a little better on fuel. I personally like the individual injectors which is why I’m interested in looking to buy it. I’m actually looking to replace all of my 1991 suburban TBI with the edelbrock pro flow.
Thanks for the video. I watched a few of your videos in August 2017 when I was installing my go Street 400 on my 66 Mercury Comet with a 289. I went from a two barrel single exhaust to a 4-barrel with dual exhaust to the fitech with a big radiator and electric cooling fan in about a six-month time frame. The biggest power booster was the fitech. I went from 10 MPG with the two barrel to 13 MPG with four-barrel and dual exhaust to 16 MPG with the fitech. I have been leaning it out over the last two weeks trying to improve my gas mileage. Today with the AFR at 16 to 1 for 3000 rpm cruise, I was at 16.5 MPG. My goal for the car is 20 MPG when I install an overdrive, so I think I'm on my way. It seems to pull the same MPG with or without the air conditioning on. I just set the 3000 RPM CRUISE AFR to 16.5:1 today - we'll see if it makes a difference. I'll drive this configuration until It breaks, and then its a three to four hundred horsepower crate motor and multi-port. Keep it up. I enjoy the videos.
This is interesting to hear! It sounds like EdelBrock has really stepped their game up! I'm more than happy with the Sniper but if I had to change, I would definitely look into Edelbrock now.
First things first...love your videos! Second...thanks for your honest opinion of the two products, even though I feel it is not an apples to apples comparison. Third...I’m running the FiTech 400 HP with command center. I purchased it two years ago and installed it two weeks ago on my 1969 Ford F100 with 1971 351w. My handheld controller stopped working yesterday. It doesn’t work when plugged into the ECU or laptop...just black screen. I was able to complete my engine break in before the handheld stopped working. I’ve sent FiTech a message for tech support help and going to reach out to Summit (where I purchased it) and see if they are able to assist.
Thanks for the vid. It's really informative. The only criticism I would offer is that you compare the power of the units, yet you did a cam swap and didn't have the ability to retune the FITech. The Edelbrock was installed and tuned on the new cam.
etheir way you look at it the edlebrock is still gonna be better. it has direct injection. with that much better distribution of the fuel your thottle response will be better cylinders wont burn unevenlly etc. I strongy dislike the holley sniper and the fi tech for the simple fact that their just like the tbi's gm introduced 33 years ago all they did was add 2 more barrels to it..
i have a 85 blazer that want to build a 383, yeah i know everyone says to put a ls in it. but don't want all the electronics and connection issues with transmission and all. So want to go old school and have everything connected. thank you for the videos on the fuel injection set ups
I have the Fitech Go 600 in Australia, and agree with everything you said. Ive been lucky "so far" and had no issues at all. I have Holley Fuel pressure reg, and Aeromotive intank pump and not using Fitech for timing or fans. The less the ECU has to control, the better in my opinion. MultiPort injection is way better (edelbrock) than the Fitech is. If i ever have problems with Fitech I will look at a standalone system, as Edelbrock dont make a kit for Cleveland V8 as yet. The ECU does need alot of air to keep it cool, particularly in summer. I have installed a hood vent to try and add more air into the engine bay.
Makes me feel good about my decision to go edlebrock. Not like I'll be able to run it for another 6 to 8 months but I will have it on fresh 347 stroker. I enjoy your enthusiasm for the system on how well it help make it a hassle free driving exsperiance so far.
I do not believe so. Since their system can run at multiple pressure values depending on your setup, they do not provide one. It seems like they should though. Edelbrock has a fuel pressure regulator that is adjustable and for the price of the kit, it should include one. Just of one many items that is missing and will add to the cost of the project.
The first time I watched your videos I thought you were a goober, but I was wrong your doing a pretty good job,,I have 5 old broncos, one is a 77 sport 1/2 cab I've had since 1979, there's nothing on the road today as cool as an old bronco,
So glad your channel popped up in my search for Edelbrock Pro Flo 4 info! I appreciate that your experience applies to any older classic ride, not just Broncos. I have a '70 C10 ( not a Chevy snob, I think Fords are bitchin" as well) and am starting down the same path with fuel injection. Already have a Boyd rear tank w/ internal FI pump installed and had debated on some of the other brands, like FI Tech for my SBC. The installation video and the follow up comparison have been excellent and have certainly cemented my decision to go with Edelbrock. Your video is refreshing, with the (sometimes ugly and pricey) problems out there for us all to see. No fluff, just practical help and advice. I wish you continued success on your project and your YT channel. Oh yeh, I subscribed too :-)
Now that you have the FiTech off and no longer rely on it for your Bronco, you easily send it back to them. At this point, this would probably benefit them more than you. It may help them work out some of their issues. Regarding cost: I also take into consideration the withdrawal something takes out of the bank of frustration. $200 dollars difference is a small cost for the sake of one's sanity. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the info…. Hoping to get the Edelbrock Dominator. Also… do yourself a favor and buy yourself a couple pairs of “Flush Cuts” for snipping off wire ties so you don’t slice your arms open when working on your Bronco. These are what I have used from Amazon for years… they are inexpensive and work great. Hakko-CHP-170 Micro Cutter - Red
Awesome vid.. alot of good info there. when i first saw your videos on fietech i got persuaded to buy it. it say brand new in box for over a year (it was for one of my many projects). when i finally got around to start working on it i came back to your channel to find out that you had many problems with fitech. at that point i posted it for sale. i figured im going to loose even more money if i install it and it dont work.. i ended up loosing about $300 on it. im glad edelbrock hooked you up with this. i will keep an eye out for a follow up vid 6 months down the road.
The fuel pump dying sounds like vapor lock. I was having the same issue when using edelbrock’s sump system. The engine would just die on me randomly. I’d pull off the pressure side output, let the vapor pressure escape, and it’d fire right back up. Yes it was vented properly per the directions. Swapped to the standard Airtex E8000 style pump and used a traditional return line since it needed one anyway with the sump, with the bolt on pro flo 4 regulator. Problem solved. No more vapor lock.
Great video. One thing though - comparing TBI (whether it's FiTech or Holley) to port injection isn't a straight comparison. Yes, the Pro-Flo is more $$$ but it's an entirely different system from the FiTech and will perform much, much better. An EFI kit that includes an intake manifold, throttle body, injectors, rails and distributor that does sequential port injection is worth more than just a 4 bbl TBI system. The additional cost is easily justified by the additional driveability and performance you will get with real port injection. The real comparison is to compare Pro-Flo to any other sequential port injection kits. Pro-Flo is sub-$2000. All others are ~$3000. That's a $1000 difference!!
So I take that I just need to stay with my vortec system on my daily driver k1500. Just really tired of constant 02 sensor problems and vats malfunction leaving me stranded.
Great video, even if it’s 3 years old. Looking into the Edlebrock system for the past 2 weeks, with a Holly super sniper at home, it definitely seems like the winner.
My Pro Flo 4 works great after it's all warmed up, even in the summer. It must be warmed up for at least a minute before I'm allowed to put it in reverse. Even then, I have a 50/50 chance of stalling. Edelbrock told my installer they would have a firmware update in a month or two that would fix this problem. That was 8 months ago and nothing. Just get a Sniper. My neighbor loves his. Meanwhile, mine is like a box of chocolates...
I went with oldschool Ford eec-iv efi, been running great for a decade, and can be built with junkyard parts. it is limited compared to the new aftermarket stuff, but I can get parts for it anywhere. pros and cons
I am currently struggling with my Fitech after a year of dealing with it. After the first complete failure of the fuel command centre, to a complete reinstall including an in-tank pump and tank (provided my Fitech at cost due to the acknowledgement of the failed fuel command centre) it has been a challenge. Fortunately, this has been carried out by the shop who built and recommended the Fitech to me. After a few small glitches (a failed lifter and an intake leak) my truck is now running...but just running enough to take the truck for a drive (one hour round trip which, by the end it begins to lose performance enough to notice, perhaps due to ecu overheating due to location under the hood). The truck should boil the tires off the line but instead stutters until about 2500rpm before it smooths out. I have made some changes as per advice from others in the same boat with a little improvement, but still the issues remain (WOT from stop resulting in stuttering or sometimes die-out, engine going limp while coasting and other small glitches). Add to this the first handheld failing (screen kept sliding and altering settings on its own) and the second handheld felt like the toggle button broke the first time I used it and now doesn't feel quite right (but still works for now) and my confidence is slipping. I will say that, contrary to others who have shared their experience, that my support has been decent, but I had to reach higher up the chain to receive help (and got it). Unfortunately I am at the point where my confidence is considerably deteriorated and I am considering having the shop remove the system and go an alternate route (carb or Holley sniper) but I am hesitant to go efi again after this experience. :(
You forgot to mention that the Edelbrock pro flow 4 comes with a air gap intake, and ofcourse its a muit port injection system, also the available fuel slump pump reservoir system.
I have the FiTech 400hp on my 83 F100 302 with in tank fuel pump from FiTech 58psi. So far 3k miles on it with no issues. I don’t need the extra tune ability with the more expensive unit. I installed it after watching all your videos, thank you. The in tank fuel pump makes a world of difference. I will posting some videos on it soon. Please do more videos on the Pro Flow 4, I would like to install it on my Pontiac 455 7.5L
Back in the day I had a Mopar with lean burn, every summer that computer on the side of the air cleaner fried in the 110 Kansas heat. The Kansas Highway Patrol, ran the same set up but the lean burn computer was mounted on the kick panel. They never had problems Heat and ecu, fail, go figure LOL
1) I've always enjoyed your videos and appreciate how you portray everything with humility, humor, and candor; 2) I'm on the same path, can't remember if I got fitech before of after you, but I'm considering post-Fitech options; 3) I don't think I have your patience with some of these negative comments. I guess some people have nothing better to do than to waste their time to take the time to tell you they think you're wasting their time. Kudos to you for sharing great videos for us bronco guys and for handling comments in poor taste with tact. Also, for those "just stick to carb" dudes, they might not realize that many of us bronco guys prefer EFI for off-road capability. Speaking from experience, having the motor and power components DIE in when you're on a steep incline/decline, off camber or in a precarious angle on the side of a cliff is not fun. If properly set up EFI has tremendous advantages over carb for avid off-roaders (which many bronco guys are).
Great video!! I too have ran both systems and couldn't agree more with your comparison. Well except for the customer service. I have had horrible luck with both. They are equally useless in my experience. You did forget to mention one of the best differences in the user interface part though. The Edelbrock connects Bluetooth versus the ridiculous dual plug in on the Fitech handheld. It is SO nice not having to have anything plugged in if you want to run as a display and/or tune on the fly. Thanks for the great videos!!
I HAD the FiTech 600 hp street unit ! The Holley Sniper EFI is a WAAAAAY better unit ! (FAR LESS GLITCHES) Holley really did there homework with the software ! YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR !!!!
I'm thinking of EFI for a 4.6 single cam modular motor. Motor is for gas roots racing so will not drive bbn on the street. ? Edelbrock or Holley? Your thoughts
Not that Edelbrock is bad or anything, but Holley has power adders, whether Sniper, HP, Dominator, etc. The direct connection between handheld & ECU, so there is no wifi or connection issues, etc. No need to upgrade tabets, especially when they are continued to be used in mounting them inside the vehicle for monitoring purposes, or future adjustments. However the tablets are larger & somewhat better graphics.
Hey man, just want to say thanks for the video. Good honest review, well formated and informative. Im just doing some preliminary research before getting elbow deep into my first full rebuild/restoration on a 72 f100 w/302 4spd. I will definitely be watching more of your videos to see what youve come across and done. Keep the awesome vids coming.
great video man ! been watching all your videos to date, im still a qjet carb user for now and thinkin more & more to switch over. i had seen, read & heard many small issues with fitech and things that didnt suit me, but this very video has me nearly convinved that i should go Ebrock :) hey great work, keep the vids and comparisons coming. cheers
THANK YOU for this video and your Install vid. I'm a Fitech user on the fence about going to the Flo Pro 4. That fact that you made that switch in your vids is invaluable to me. I'm running a modded Fitech Command Center for fuel, so I'm thinking I'm in good shape to run that to the Flo Pro 4 rail, since it's already capped at 58psi. I just need to invest in a fuel pump relay and get that wired up properly. Awesome job on these videos!!
I've watched a few of your videos and subscribed. One thing that I noticed you haven't addressed and need to, is the current going through your vehicle is regards to "True Voltage". I put a FiTech on my 69 Failane w/302 and one of the early problems was that it ran, at times. rough but also showed signs of smooth running. I got into computers early on and discovered one of the major problems with PCs was the power supply. A PC electrical system designed on 12 volts needs to have a true 12 volts in this digital age. With that thought, I ran voltage tests on my electrical system and was getting readings of 11.2 -11.4 volts. I had a NAPA stock alternator on the car which develops a 35 AMP charge. I replaced it with a 150 AMP charge alternator and a buttload of problems with the EFI disappeared immediately. This can very easily be your problems with the hand helds and the fuel pumps. So far I have had neither. I will also tell you that my 302 was a fresh build and the new cam compliments the EFI. The car is literally "new" or re-furbished completely. The only problem I am now having is that I am getting some minor back firing when I let off the pedal or stomp it. I'm either running wet or my mechanical advance is not working, is what I'm thinking. Outside of that my car runs great. I just started my 69 Mach 1 project and I am putting a 429 in it and strongly considering a fuel rail EFI system in it but that project is at least 12 months out from completion. "Film @ 11:00"!
Thanks for the review. the information about the computer being internal to the throttlebody vs external is helpful. I am setting up a dual quad system for my Barracuda, and I see that FiTech and Edelbrock both have a dual quad setup, thing is, they are both around a thousand dollars more than a pair of AVS2 500 cfm carbs. I just don't see how I could justify going to this newfangled contraption...
So, I watched this when it was new and still have exactly the same question I had then. How reliable are these units over time. Everyone who installed one says it was worth doing but nobody has posted a 3-5 year follow up
Great video once again.... The manifold may have had some saying in this. I did manage to sell my Fitech and am now hopefully becoming a Coyote Bronco owner soon.
The Edelbrock Pro Flo 4 uses a single plane manifold that shifts your torque up to a higher RPM. If this is what you want, then no problem. But if not stay with the dual-plane manifold and a throttle body EFI or carburetor. For some reason Edelbrock does not offer port fuel injection on a dual plane manifold. But you can drill eight holes in a dual plane manifold to make one. And yes, Edelbrock intake gaskets do leak. Ask me how I know. 😑 The best 302-351W intake gaskets I have found are from Price Motor Sports. They have never leaked in 7 years of use.
Good video. Have a 76 bronco in the shop that needs a total restoration. Has a 351w with a C4 in it that I will rebuild and install the EFI. You made my decision for which EFI easier.
I take it that Edelbrock PF4 system knocked it out of the park for You ! You have used it for a while now are You still happy with it ? Great video and content Thank You for Your thoughts and feelings ! 🇺🇸🇵🇷🦊👍
Only thing that I didn't see in here that would have been great for other viewers to understand is the differences between sequential fuel injection and TBI fuel injection
One thing for sure you were right about is that Fi Tech customer service is horrible! I spoke with a guy that sounded like he was eating the whole time I was on the phone with him! and unfortunately the 2nd time I called them I got the same Guy!
I bought a fi-tec for a 390 ford. Nothing but junk in my opinion! When I called support they wanted me to test parts with tools only a auto mechanic would own. They are not for do it yourselfer's such as myself. After 8 months of try to get it to run, it now sits on a shelf in my shop. (running carb again) I'm willing to try the Edelbrock. Thanks for the Vid!
What spark plug wires did you run with the proflo4? Just got a unit ready to install on a 454 chevy, and the instructions say high EMI suppression spark plug wires are necessary, and not to use solid core wires. Why is that? Also, great video, and cheers from Norway ;) thanks
I made a video about the spark plug wires I used, check that one out. The reason is because a cheap wire can interfere with the electronic signals moving through the unit. So they want to make sure you have a good shielded spark plug wire that won’t “leak” the signal out of.
Isn't the edelbrock a port injection where the fitech is a throttle body injection? That is probably the reason the power feels better with the edelbrock over the fitech.
I want to go a little sideways here. I am interested in buying something like an old F100 with either a 302 or 300 six. Since they are so close in cubic inches, I'm wondering which is a better engine. I don't know which has better power, but I have heard that the six is really thirsty. I'm guessing that an EFI system and electric ignition would be a good investment on either engine. This vehicle would be just a daily driver, not a racer or a heavy duty hauler. Another thought I had was which would be a better upgrade for the 200 six in something. like a Falcon, Fairlane, Fairmont or Maverick? Any comments would be helpful. Thank you.
3rd time I watched this and it's definitely making me want to sell my $300 rebuilt quadrajet that I have yet to get running right. I have an 83 Chevy k10 pickup and I've been fighting an off idle stumble now for 5 months. I'm by no means a carburetor expert either although I'm old enough that I was in my 20s when carbs went wayside to efi. I'm just a car guy and I'm capable of doing just about anything on a sbc even though it takes me awhile because of many sit down breaks. I'm just a little intimidated by the installation because I'm terrible with wiring and understanding wiring issues. Man! I wish that you could come up here to PA and help me do this lol. I've been a subscriber of your videos for sometime now and look forward to them.
Appreciate the kind words! If you do it, let me know how I can help. It is a big job, so take your time. But remember sometimes EFI will magnify your engine’s problems, so be prepared if it brings up issues that need to be fixed.
So, I have a 5.0 swapped ranger, has oem explorer EFI, and I was part of a group of v8 Ranger guys, many ran aftermarket efi on older carb 302's, of that group, almost none that used FITech had any luck. They had constant problems. And ended up selling their kit for super cheap.. could be the engine bay heat, and fuel delivery issues.. soo.. take my advice, use factory style efi, or not the fitech.. the holley, edelbrock, or higher end stuff that plugs into an sct/laptop tuner that works.. soo..
I have the Fi-Tech on my 454 Chevelle. I just ordered the Edlebrock Pro-Flo a few days ago. My Fi-Tech 800 shorts out injectors so often I have resorted to keeping spare injectors and the tools I need to do a roadside repair in the glove box. It is not a hard repair, but the car stops with no warning. Last time I was on the I-80 freeway just outside Sacramento where people were driving like maniacs. Terrifying and awful. When the Fi-Tech is running, it runs good, it is superior to my old carb(s... went through a few of those), but it is not dependable. It turned my Chevelle into a 'Trailer Queen."
I have been watching all your videos and learning because i purchased the dual 1200hp Fitech setup and am trying to run them on my 6-71 blown 502 bbc....So far it has been an absolute NIGHTMARE...Piss Poor customer service, very difficult to navigate...I have basically resorted to taking it to a dyno shop and see if they can get it tuned properly...because of lack of customer service....GOD I HOPE I DIDN'T BLOW 2K....
@@NashvilleEarlyBronco I like Holley but I'm leaning towards Edelbrock. It's seems to be more user friendly since I'm not a tuner... I'm building a 351 with a manual for my bronco...heads and cam upgrades only
@@NashvilleEarlyBronco Do you know anything about the MSD Atomic my truck is already set up with the MSD ignition system... would it be better for me to go with and MSD TBI.. Lmk ty
I have the same intake manifold, I believe it was based off the Shelby design. I plan on using it with a Holley Sniper setup. Does yours have “FB4” on it?
I did not know about the FiTech computer issue. Good to know. Direct Port injection is a lot better as well. That would be why things are better on performance.
Interesting video . But they are 2 completely different ways of doing EFI . So it hard to compare them to each other apart from just how they drive . The carb type EFI is good if can't get a intake type EFI for your engine
I agree with you that it’s two different ways of doing EFI, but a lot of people are looking at these two units and trying to decide which one to go with.
Thanks for not letting the trolls and the haters deter you from making great videos!
Thanks man!
I'm surprised you didn't mention for the extra say 300 for the edelbrock, you now have port injection. That makes a huge difference also. Great vid.
this dude obviously doesnt understand jack shit about efi or engines in general.
Smart move on the FelPro gaskets. For the readers, DO NOT use the Edelbrock gaskets.

Does the Edelbrock come with a 58 psi fuel pressure regulator???
I do not believe so. Since their system can run at multiple pressure values depending on your setup, they do not provide one. It seems like they should though. Edelbrock has a fuel pressure regulator that is adjustable and for the price of the kit, it should include one. Just of one many items that is missing and will add to the cost of the project.
The first time I watched your videos I thought you were a goober, but I was wrong your doing a pretty good job,,I have 5 old broncos, one is a 77 sport 1/2 cab I've had since 1979, there's nothing on the road today as cool as an old bronco,
Haha! I am a goober. Thanks man
Also Pro 4 is sequential port injection vs throttle body injection. No comparison...
Oh yeh, I subscribed too :-)
Thanks David! Let me know if I can help anymore
I'm glad to hear this. I bought the edelbrock pro flow 4 for a small block chevy for my 85 firebird, but haven't switched to the v8 yet.
So youre gona put the edelbrock on the small block?

Nice Video, Nice to see honest review . Still looking at all the different efi systems . Cheers
Yeah I’m looking forward to putting a few months on it and seeing how it performs
I love edelbrock performer intake...great power, quick rip , acceleration along with better cam and carb...
Man, am I glad you did this comparison. I was trying to decide between the both for my 302. But Iv been leaning towards the Edelbrock
No accounting for 60 years of fuel management experience! Edelbrock all the way. Todd the retired trucker.
That’s awesome! Glad to help
Great video I have so been looking forward to this review on edelbrock pro flo 4 only thing missing was fuel mileage but great video thank you👌👌
I went with oldschool Ford eec-iv efi, been running great for a decade, and can be built with junkyard parts. it is limited compared to the new aftermarket stuff, but I can get parts for it anywhere. pros and cons
hotrod had my HO EEC4 25 yr 👍👍👍
I have a ranger with a 5.0/302 explorer. eec-V. And it works, can tune it well also
How does this setup work? What computer to control it with? Any videos to watch explaining how to do this?
Ouch! Sorry man
You forgot to mention that the Edelbrock pro flow 4 comes with a air gap intake, and ofcourse its a muit port injection system, also the available fuel slump pump reservoir system.
I installed it on my Ford FE and I love it,
I have the FiTech 400hp on my 83 F100 302 with in tank fuel pump from FiTech 58psi.
Awesome!
Back in the day I had a Mopar with lean burn, every summer that computer on the side of the air cleaner fried in the 110 Kansas heat.
The Kansas Highway Patrol, ran the same set up but the lean burn computer was mounted on the kick panel. They never had problems
Heat and ecu, fail, go figure LOL
Haha! Yep!
Saw Edelbrock featured your vid. That's sweet. Keep making great content.
Nice! Thanks man
1) I've always enjoyed your videos and appreciate how you portray everything with humility, humor, and candor; 2) I'm on the same path, can't remember if I got fitech before of after you, but I'm considering post-Fitech options; 3) I don't think I have your patience with some of these negative comments.
That’s a great point! I did forget that!
Im looking at the sniper unit for my 460 in my 77 4x4.
Lietech is junk 💩💩💩
Holley Sniper is an excellent system. Honestly Holley over Edelbrock.
Awesome!
great video man ! been watching all your videos to date, im still a qjet carb user for now and thinkin more & more to switch over. i had seen, read & heard many small issues with fitech and things that didnt suit me, but this very video has me nearly convinved that i should go Ebrock :) hey great work, keep the vids and comparisons coming. cheers
Thanks man!
Confirms my choice for my 460 build coming up! Thank you
Same
THANK YOU for this video and your Install vid.
Thanks Mike!
Thank you! I’ve heard voltage effects the EFI, and I totally agree with you.
Thanks for doing the comparison, top vid!
I just traded a 14 bolt rear end for a summit efi brand new in the box cant wait to install it
Thanks for the review. the information about the computer being internal to the throttlebody vs external is helpful.
Edelbrock for me. I’ve never had a issue with anything Edelbrock. Top notch stuff. I’d buy the Edelbrock EFI based on confidence alone
Holley all the way
Pretty good review, bro!!
Thanks!
Woohoo!!!
Happy to help!
Is there options on setup for larger injectors for edlebrock for more power thinking about putting one on a 428 cobra jet in a 69 mustang
Very helpful video I've been thinking of the edelbrock pro flow 4 system . Or the Holley sniper EFI
hi wanting to install av8 to my 97 defender i need a fuel efficient efi high toque and light weight, any advise thanks

It still runs great! Definitely recommend it
@@NashvilleEarlyBronco Thank You for the feedback I appreciate it ! 🇺🇸🇵🇷🦊👍
Only thing that I didn't see in here that would have been great for other viewers to understand is the differences between sequential fuel injection and TBI fuel injection
What happens if you have a intake that takes 2 carburators and you install 2 EFI's on there?
One thing for sure you were right about is that Fi Tech customer service is horrible! I spoke with a guy that sounded like he was eating the whole time I was on the phone with him! and unfortunately the 2nd time I called them I got the same Guy!
What system would you buy now April 3rd 2022?
Thanks super helpful - considering Edelbrock on my Rotrex boosted 283 SBC on the channel.
Does the edelbrock deliver smoother performance when the intake manifold is still cold? TBI is good but is happier when the intake is warm. Thanks
That’s a good question. I haven’t been able to tell a difference in cold weather
Pro-Flo is $2300 now and does not come a tablet anymore. FiTech has a new lower HP system for trucks for $869.
Great video! Going with the Edelbrock after seeing this for my 408 stroker
Thank you 🤘🏼
I bought a fi-tec for a 390 ford.
Great video man! I just received a Pro Flo for my 410W so I hope I get the same experience as you! My previous FiTech ECU got fried on the manifold
Thank you for all your videos.
You just talked me out of both of them I'll stick with my carburetor thank you very much
does anyone one sell a complete set up distributer and fuel injection that work as one?
Thks for the video ! For me ill go for the edelbrock sbc
Glad I could help!
@NashvilleEarlyBronco now there's ace injection
This video was very very helpful and educational thank you I appreciate this very much
I have a 351m with a 4-barrel 650 Holley and would love to go EFI what would you recommend
Great video my brother
Much appreciated
Fitech is only one that makes a dedicated power adder unit for blow thru. Edelbrock has awesome customer service .
Holley makes a power adder unit. Its called super sniper 650/1200. I have the 650 on my car. It's a great unit. I had the fitech and it's trash.
I have heard bad and good with all of them . may just spend the money and go with fast efi setup.
What about Holly efi? I know you didn’t test one but I’m wondering what people are saying down your way? Joe
Will these things work on a 1996 Chevy 6 cylinder engine on my pickup ?
They should
Edelbrock literally got a team of scientists together to help me set up a 500 carb on a 300 L6 Ford. Took some doing but we got it done.
Isn't the edelbrock a port injection where the fitech is a throttle body injection? That is probably the reason the power feels better with the edelbrock over the fitech.
Yep, that’s a big reason
Thank you.
Would the pro flow fit under the hood without any body lift?
I don't think so, I think it needs about 1/4 of an inch
Always informative !!
Liked and subbed ✔️
Thank you!
Hey I have a bronco 2 I would like to know if I can install this system into my vehicle
How's the Edelbrock holding up? Looking at MPFI and considering ProFlo4 or Holley Terminator X
ProFlo has been great! The terminator X is awesome too

@@NashvilleEarlyBronco that sounds like another video lol
I have the same intake manifold, I believe it was based off the Shelby design. I plan on using it with a Holley Sniper setup. Does yours have “FB4” on it?
I did not know about the FiTech computer issue. Good to know. Direct Port injection is a lot better as well. That would be why things are better on performance.
I totally suck at carb tuning, so does most of the mechanics in my area. Driving 3 hours just to tune a carb? EFI looks good.
Update for you. Pro Flo 4 Sbf kit w/o tablet is now $1895. With tablet $2195.
Love my Fitech meanstreet...never had a problem with it.....makes tons and tons of power.
