The main problem is that all of these laws were created at a time where the internet wasn't a thing and it was more of a company vs company legal battle rather than a company vs an individual. If you're interested I highly recommend watching Tom Scott's video about this topic, "UA-cam's copyright system isn't broken. The world's is."
Ryujinx doesn't get anywhere near enough recognition. Not only are the devs doing something right when it comes to protecting themselves legally at least for the time being, but the focus on accuracy is going to ensure that as device power gradually creeps up to the point where literally any PC will be able to run Switch games really well in the years to come, even if development does stop eventually.
in my experience I never even saw any performance difference between ryujinx and yuzu, and my pc is far for being the best (I can't even emulate og Xbox games at full speed and some games on rpcs3)
@@PowerPuffBoysZ i could be wrong but afaik that isnt possible because the mig switch cant actually run custom code it can only mimic the original switch carts, if it could run custom code i imagine nintendo would have been way angrier
The copyright infringement claim is 100% valid. I hate to take the big bad corporations side on this singular instance. If the mods were truly free with no business surrounding it, thats one thing. Many companies have no problem with that....usually (some notable exceptions). The issue is when there is money involved. Same reason why Ryujinx has been spared the chopping block but Yuzu wasn't. In this case, the guy is making a bunch of money from his videos using SOMEONE ELSES IP. Ok...fine. But then he is also taking that money and paying 'employees' essentially (meaning those people are literally making a profit in the form of their pay to develop unlicensed content for an IP they do not own.
With Ryujinx I'm still waiting for the team to better integrate Joy Cons and Pro controllers more natively! Yuzu did this and you can test this yourself if you still have Yuzu and Mario Wonder. In the world 1 level with the music notes you run across, the haptic motors will "simulate" those notes! If you put the Joy Con up to your ear as you run across you can hear it! Ryujinx has yet to do this...
What IPs does Coleco had? None that's what. Atari don't need them, at least Intellivision had Shark Shark, Cloudy Mountain, Night Stalker, Moon Patrol, Cornhole, Evel Knievel, and Astro Smash.
I was thinking ColecoVision initially in my brain and got excited some of those games would be re-issued or would have new versions coming out. Then I re-read it and thought 'meh' 😞
Free to play games are not free. They take one thing away from you. Time. Time is money and free to play games end up having huge paywalls and I can see why Sony is having dollar signs in their eyes lol.
Just tried the latest ryujinx in deck, it has some improvement but it isn't certainly stable when it comes to performance. It'll br really great if ryujinx can focus a bit in the the optimization department especially for weaker hardware
That salary range seems about right, that's right around where I am and I don't work for a company anywhere NEAR as big as Sony, LOL! Especially considering that Sony will most likely employ them for 2 to 3 years then drop them, the higher end of that is where I'd be shooting.
I'm not sure about that controller either, but it looks like Sony is betting on augmented reality/mixed reality/VR for the future of gaming. We haven't exactly seen a massive adoption of VR/AR that companies have been pressing for and I think it comes down to the ergonomics, convenience, and the price of the tech not being adequate yet for mass appeal. When we can wear these devices like regular glasses and they have seamless interactivity, then we'll see massive adoption, and will likely become the primary AIO computer interface for gaming, work, social media, entertainment, etc. I believe we're inching closer to that breakthrough boom, we just haven't seen it yet.
The only game I want Sony to bring to mobile will be gran turismo 😅 kinda curious to see how Sony sees the mobile game market, hopefully they won’t be making p2w games
If they are making free games, it is likely that they will be making p2w sales while trying to cater to everyone as best as possible. Hopefully, they make some paid games too, then.
@@polarbear1713 yeah tbh I am fine with paid mobile games nowadays, I mean look at iOS. REVillage and RE4, plus death stranding and soon assassin's Creed mirage. And if it's gonna be free, then I hope that the paid aspect will be nothing but cosmetics and have to effect on gameplay like "cod mobile" for example.
Sony with the futuristic tech idea is not far off. The small phone the guy is holding is ridiculously but the rest is honestly pretty close. No one is going to see the floating screens except for the person using it either with VR glasses or contacts. By then the VR tech will be cheaper. The controller will probably be slightly similar but different.
