Years ago, when I was about five, I dropped the very large bowl my mom used to make bread, cakes, and cookies in. It smashed to bits. I knew it had been a wedding gift from a deceased aunt and I was in tears. My mom knelt down, hugged me and told me that she had always hated that bowl, that it was ugly and now she could get a new one. I’m in my 70’s and I know my mom was lying. She not only didn’t hate the bowl and we couldn’t afford to replace it. My dad was teaching part time while working on his PHD. Things were tight. When I got my first job at 15, the thing I bought with my first paycheck was a lovely McCoy bowl for my mom. She cried.

I had burnt something in a large pot and I let the pot sit with water in it overnight, tried boiling water in it, tried boiling vinegar in it, tried scrubbing the pot with salt and baking soda but nothing worked! I tried your method: used clothes soap, let water with clothes soap boil, then let it boil on medium heat for fifteen minutes and low heat for another ten minutes, scraped off the bottom, and wiped with a wire mesh and it worked beautifully! Thank you so much!!!

My mom would have killed me this works perfectly! (Although I had a few spots left it wasn’t burnt food it was just a small stain)
    Here are some tips!
    1. If the detergent you used doesn’t work try borax and baking soda that’s what I used
    2. Let some water, baking soda and dishwash sit in the pot for a few minutes then scrub
    3. Scrubbing might take awhile so don’t worry if it doesn’t all come out right away!
    4. If it doesn’t all come out do the process again so it will
    5. As soon as it starts to boil lower the heat or else the pot will overflow in a matter of seconds
    6. After you finish heating up the water in the pot fully turn of the stove and let it sit for about 30 minutes

    Nice video.
I burned soup in a stainless steel pot (accidentally, be it noted!). I gave the pot it a mild cleaning with soap and water (to remove the "roughage"), intending to get down to the dreary task of cleaning it later. On pure whim I poured some white vinegar into the cold empty pot to let it stand until then. When I returned some two-or-so hours later to clean it, I was astonished to see how easy the hard black baked-on burn was to remove. A gentle wipe with a plastic pot-scrubber took everything off, leaving the pot gleaming, without leaving behind little black spots and the like!
