I've played with Davinci. I like that it's super powerful, but I often just go back to imovie on my iphone. I should really take the time to familiarize myself with Davinci more.
Yeah, editing takes a ton of time. Specifically for me, for me it's the rough cut that takes the longest. I'm probably not the most eloquently spoken person (when I was young, I had speech therapy). So, I stumble over words sometimes. Also, sometimes my tenant upstairs makes noise and I have to repeat what I said. I'm playing with using AI to do the rough cut for me, then I can do the fun part of editing myself, or hire that part done.

@@rob-toolsandtech2521 The reason I am drawn to divinci now, is because it's on my (recently purchased) desktop, whereas imovie is on my laptop which is old and dying. Just nervous it will die one day and then I would be in a bad spot to learn divinci super fast. haha Yes, you know I don't have a speech issue, but wow do I repeat some words a lot before saying the sentence, it's like a stutter almost, that I never realized I had until I started recording videos. So I hear you when it takes a while to edit stumbling and such, that is most of my time. Would be good if AI like you said could remove those parts first, then just go in and add b-roll. Great idea...will need to look into that as well. You know, in our spare time! haha Thank you for watching! xoxo

To balance the scales on the negative comment. I've been following your journey from very early on and your excitement while growing your channel has been a real inspiration. I love the REAL energy you bring to your videos; it comes across as so relatable.
There was one creator that finally gave me the confidence to upload and then you came along and continue to give me hope and belief that I can keep going and be successful if I work hard. I don't have the time and resources to grow quickly, but watching your videos always gives me that push to write a little bit more of my script, or put a little bit more time into planning.

Personally I see that you sometimes over explain or ramble on a bit but that’s the reason I subscribe to your channel because you are being yourself and being real. So please don’t change. I completely understand your comments about consultancy. Personally i am not keen on it, as it’s selling your time and there is only so much time we have in a day. Having said that i think it’s all about being confident. No consultant, regardless of how much experience they have, will be able to answer all questions then and there. You can always provide a report to your client the next day and include answers to any question you were unable to address during the consultation.
Ps: I think your rates are really reasonable.

A few years ago now, I made a video about the passing of my younger brother. Some troll put a negative comment on that video, which I deleted almost immediately. Trolls don't even know they're trolls. I just ignore them now.

Just want to say I really appreciate your perspective on everything and I'm thankful I've found your channel. Recently I lost my monetization due to lack of watch hours and not posting for too long because life happened so I'm trying to get ideas, inspiration and confidence not revive my channel.

Wow congrats on landing your goal and hitting monetized so fast! Even if it may not feel quick to you, from everything I hear this isnt a normal time frame that people can realistically hit, that it is usually 8 months to over a year, so thats killer!
I think I only tuned in maybe 2-3 weeks back, as im trying to get my first videos up (im brutal was supposed to get 1st up last week and keep delaying...).
Theres been talk at my work since June that my position is not going to be long term so I need to get my as* moving before something devices for me... (My manager Actually told me I should quit because Ive been applying for accommodation since April or may... AT HIS SUGGESTION!!! because he doesn't see im progressing the right way, I really do not like my manager so much any more, go figure. But since I disclosed I have adhd which I only did after a performance conversation, hes been completely different and 100% feels like hes actively trying to get rid of me 👍Thats nice eh?)

Yea that sounds like a not so peachy position to be in…but great for UA-cam motivation! Use it to fuel you forward on this platform. Best of luck to you! I think it can happen earlier with strategies for growth in place but I was hoping for ten weeks on my journey because the woman who inspired me did it in 10…so why not me. And it happened exactly at ten weeks! But before it took off I was scheduled to reach monetization in like 4 years at the pace I was going via analytics..so you never know! ❤️❤️

When someone is negative or a troll then they are definitely going through some things or have self loathing. A person who is happy in life would never troll. Check out the mirror principle. The mirror is just reflecting back to them, how they see themselves, which includes things to trigger them

When you say “trending video” what do you mean? Have you covered that in your other videos? If so could you tell me which one so I can go watch? ❤❤
I have but I can cover it here quickly. Something that is an outlier in my opinion. You see multiple UA-cam channels posting the same video and smaller channels or doesn’t necessarily have to be smaller channels, but when a channel gets way more views on a video than they have subscribers and the video is within the past 3 months to few days..I would call it trending. Trending videos I have done - Monetization journey video, how UA-cam has changed my life with less than 500 subs, how I got x number of subs in x days/weeks, etc. Hope this helps! Or another way is riding a trend wave Let’s say your niche was fitness with a focus on longevity and Outlive is on the number one Seller’s list…You could do a video with the main points of that book and showcase the book on your thumbnail. ❤️❤️

I was contemplating quitting after a scathing comment (15 subs in, LOL). There was truth to it the criticism but it was mean. I left it for a few days (in hopes of developing a thick skin) but ended up deleting it after someone else attacked them for the mean comment. It was then that I decided that I didn't want the negativity on the channel and blocked the person. I also made a point to work on what was said. Your comments remind me of a comment on another creators channel. Someone complained about the guys "puns" which is his thing. He of course said the same thing you said which is if you don't like my personality to go elsewhere.

I really wonder what somebody means when he or she says that you are to much for him or her. I have to say that you do bring a lot of energy in your video's but that is usually perceived as positive. On the other hand, I did notice that you cut out some parts of the sentences and then it can feel as if you are going on without taking a break to get some air. Sometimes the caps between the words can be a fraction of second longer to make it slightly more natural. I realize however that this is not easy to do and a lot of times this is simply not possible. There are also a lot of people who do like it when all the small pauzes are cut out. The pace of the video becomes more streamlined. You can't please all and if you try to please all then you end up pleasing nobody. If somebody just says that he thinks you are a bit much for him then I would take that as a compliment because most of the people here, especialy the people that subscribed to your channel, like your energy, and although it might be a bit much for his personal taste, it is perfect for most other people. Who want to listen to somebody who is monotoon and boring? If it was really his purpose to hurt you, then he probably would have said something different.
I am btw also currious what you think of Davici Resolve? I finished my first video today with Davinci Resolve, although I still have Premiere Pro. I will ask feedback in the small community that I am a member of. I will start my channel when I have a few (probably 3) video's ready and 4 in reserve. But for me the first milestone is set, I got one video ready and uploaded. Thanks for your inspiration because you are the one that keeps hammering, just do it. ❤
Yes, thank you for all your comments. I have moved to divinci mainly because I just know my MacBook is going to die at any moment and it is soooooo slow. So to avoid having to learn divinici in a crunch and to stop waiting many minutes sometimes for elements to load into Imovie, I hopped on divinci. I don't know enough about it yet to make any real argument for or against it, but it was quite easy to use and easy to find out how to do things with youtube tuts. When I know more I will give my honest opinion. xoxo

Just tell the critic that everyone on your home planet has 'bony legs.'👾I have a question. Someone commented on a video that the creator needed to change her phone to 'mirror image' so words come out correctly. I can't find that on my older android. Any suggestions?
I’m honestly not sure, but I just checked in my phone.. if you go to your videos, click on crop, then there is an option to flip the video (mirror) on my phone it looks like two triangles facing each other - hope it helps!
