I've unloaded these with the C hook like this. But have had to use braided chains before and those are a bitch. The wire braiding the chains together becomes frayed on the sides and will poke right through the heaviest of gloves. And you gotta get inside the coils to grab the chain no hooks to pull them through

I’m in the process of sitting an oral exam for a CM CoC. Steel coils seem to come up quite a bit in exams. I don’t have any Cargo or Bulk experience at all and this video is helpful.
What do you guys call the protection used on the tank tops and sides of the hold there?
Dunnages and wooden wages are use to protect cargo hold as well as cargo. And metal strap lashing

Useless crane operator. Any crane operator with an ounce of experience would be able to hook on and place the coil exactly where it needed to go - not 6 feet away.
They are rolling the Coils under the wings of the ship. It has to be done by forklift.
