  • An English composer from Warwickshire, who was taught by John Blow. The piece is sometimes attributed to Henry Purcell, but generally thought to be by Croft.
    Played on a spinet made by Stephen Robinson of Rugby, and based on an original instrument by Thomas Hitchcock.

    This piece (I keep returning to) reminds me of a Squeeze track 'Now is that Love'. Not sure why, but they sound alike to my ear.

      I guess you mean the syncopated falling theme - I can see this I think!
