Hi Lou May I please know if the 20 box has more variety or is it the same items as the 10 box but in more quantity. Also due to allergies to certain food would it be possible to list the allergens of the products. The collagen powder is would love to try but the packaging has no English on it so not sure what its for. Thank you

Maybe take Japanese lessons again in this town, you can tell them in an interview that you are working to improve your speaking skills.

Please, please see a competent doctor for Hashimoto's. There is treatment for the disease. Yes, gluten free can help, but only in combination with the proper prescription to treat Hashimoto's . I have the same disease and have been gluten free for 20 years. Your energy will return with treatment. I hope your job search is successful soon. Your videos are wonderful! ❤️

You made a comment about Lou’s languages, she’s already fluent in TWO languages.

Good for you trying to go gluten free! I thought it was going to be SO HARD, but it really isn't. I do what you did on your trip. When I'm out and about having fun, I try my best to limit gluten, but I don't shame myself if I go ahead and eat a little bit. During the week, when cooking for myself it is pretty easy to be gluten free. I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER, I hope you experience positive physical results too from limiting gluten! In the very beginning, it took about 1-2 weeks to notice a difference. In the first month I realized I felt better, and I started dropping weight pretty quickly too! It has been a very positive experience and I am so very grateful. I hope your experience is positive too! Good luck!

Dear Lou…I enjoy watching your videos and await every week for a new one. As someone who moved to a different country, I learned that keeping a vocabulary journal helped me LEARNING THE NEW LANGUAGE. What makes you proficient in another language is vocabulary. Write down a new word and its meaning. Then, listen to the pronunciation and start using it. Soon enough, it’ll become part of your everyday vocabulary. You can do it as I did it too! Sending good health and prayers your way 😊

turns out I have been wheat and dairy intolerant all my life (am a young senior) and didn’t know it until just recently - it was tough at first but once I started reading labels and learned how to eliminate / replace gluten foods my gutt got so much healthier - dropped two pant sizes - with help from folks at allergy clinic turns out I can have one portion of wheat and one of dairy each day before body complains - have now settled into “almost GF life” and no longer dread meal times - take it slow - do your research - ask for help - and you’ll get there - many regards 🇨🇦🙏

Hi Lou, I usually never comment, but since I have same disease since almost 19 years now, I've got some experience. I'm from Italy and unless we have celiac disease, here we all eat gluten without any issue, even with Hashimoto. What you should reduce consumption of hormones stimulant food like soy and tofu. I get that it is difficult to avoid in Japan, but my doctor told me that it is ok to eat it once a week. I also assume levothyroxine according to my weight and hormones levels and also need to integrate iodine. As also other people suggested, see another doctor and ask for a treatment. You'll feel better.

hello Lou. Thanks for the nice video. I'm just going to clarify one point. Gluten has no impact on thyroid and Hashimoto's disease. I have lived with this disease for 25 years and I eat gluten, drink cow's milk etc. It's just a fashion. If you want to eat it, don’t deprive yourself 😉. Only people who are truly intolerant cannot eat it. I really wanted to point this out, sometimes people don't really know and trust what's on the internet too much (I'm just saying that in a friendly way 🙂). You can easily find foods to moderate on the internet. Have a good week 👋❤️

Lou C there is medicine for your thyroid condition. That one doctor gave you misinformation. You can take medication and then you don't have to be on special diet. Please listen to all of us please. I take thyroid medication. And I am fine. Please see another doctor

Love your videos. Wishing you success with your interview! I don't know what sort of interview prep is available to you, but if you know someone who speaks Japanese it may be helpful to role play with them. Interviews usually consist of similar questions, so if you could become comfortable formulating those responses in Japanese, it might help. All the best! 😊

30:36 This is not raw squid, but boiled squid. And the species is Hotaru Ika (firefly squid). Of course, it is very tasty raw, but there is a concern about parasites.

About glutenfree diet, if You actually tolerate gluten try to reduce the intake instead. When You totally avoid it, your body will forget how to digest it and later You will be having problems when consuming it even in a small amount. Try kefir, that helps to increase good bacteria in your colones and your diegestion will improve. Can You find sourdough bread in Japan or making sourdough starter yourself? You can use it in pancakes too and it is very healthy for our body, too.

Your potato dish looked kind of like potato skins we make here in Canada. I love watching your nature walks. I doubt I will ever come to Japan but it’s lovely to enjoy the Sakura season through your lens. Thank you for being so kind. I pray all goes well for your work.
