"Stick with me, Roman" he didn't listen to her! He went along with his siblings plans and didn't listen to her. She knew Logan wasn't going to pick any of them to be the boss.
I really love how it seems like even at the end of the road, she's trying to teach him a lesson he didn't learn. She told him multiple times before to prioritize himself and when he teams up with his siblings, it goes against what she was trying to teach him. Fucking superb
Well not quite. Obviously I'm late, but I think Tom always had this in him. She broke his heart. I didnt think I'd feel sorry for Roman, especially after he tried to text her the "item" she specifically asked him no to text. But good for Gerri.
Also, she is legally bound to the financial interests of the shareholders. This is a good deal for them, and the roy kids, as shareholders, are about to cash out bigtime. They dont like the deal because they know theyre dead weight and will never get to run the thing. Objectively, they are entitled brats, which makes it much easier to see where gerri and logan are coming from
@@kira-zk6op He is a monster, yes, but he has the same fiduciary responsibility as Gerri. If he goes against the shareholders' financial interests, he could be sued and removed as CEO/Chairman. This is sad and really bad reinforcement because the three finally team up and they suffered not only a big lose also Shiv and Roman suffered the treason of Gerri and Tom. Their mom tell it to Shiv about how Logan kick something only to see if comes back and of course this is portrayed like something bad but the kids also are like this. Shiv "kick" Tom many times and Roman did it with Gerri even with Gerri requested Roman to stop it.
Also Roman finally stands because Logan offers him an exit and to leave his siblings but he did not took it. And what he learns from that? It didn't work.
This scene is so sad and heartbreaking for Roman but my god Logan always cracks me up with “you bust in here guns in hand and now you find they turned into fucking sausages”

I apologize in advance for the person I’m going to become if romangerri doesn’t make a comeback in s4 Because god DAMN this hurt so fucking bad, even if the kids had it coming by repeatedly torpedoing their relationships with the people they were closest with
Logan cares for his kids. He wants them to all be killers, especially Ken, before he leaves the company in their hands. In order to do so, he knows they all need to unite together and we've seen how they sabotage each other in previous seasons and take Logan's side....but that door of unity opens just a little more. It's another reason why Logan puts up such a good fight, he wants to be beaten by giving it his all and also to prevent his kids, Ken, from f-ing it all up.
I think you're close, but missing somethings. I decided to rewatch Season 1 again, and it's really clear looking back that Kendall's the only one of the three that's really capable of being CEO and running the company. Shiv's disinterested in the business but loves power, and Roman is too unserious and disciplined to run the company. Kendall loves the media business and knows everything about it, however, his massive insecurities make it easy for him to be manipulated by outsiders like Lawrence Lee in the first episode. Like we see in season 3, the only way it works (and I agree with you) is that all three of them work together, but it happens too late. The irony of the show going back to Season 1, is that the only person qualified to maintain the family legacy and fortune as the main lead is Marcia Roy...and the reason why is she's the only one in Logan's life who doesn't need him and she's the only one who leaves him, when he tries to play his game with her, as opposed to everyone who sticks around hoping that they'll win. This is something Logan deeply knows even going back to Season 1, and when at the end of the episode when he wants to elevate her status so he can feel that his legacy is somewhat secure and his kids pull a fast one on him, he has a stroke.
i still dont understand. did they think when it came time to a super-majority vote now or later Logan wouldn't have foreseen this? Did Tom telling Logan now really matter all that much?
Season 4 is going to be truly a Shakespearian massacre the kids will decimate everyone .... I've long said this show will end with all the kids dismantling the entire empire to be free of Roy logan & the logan namesake.
