Just had this issue with my SUV. Thought I was going to have to spend an arm and some fingers to fix but nope, this video I saw saved me and my wallet. I really really appreciate the info here that helped me solve the same issue. Loved the video and all of the quick fix techniques shown!
Left my car sitting for 2ish weeks after breaking my ankle, took her around the block to make sure she was ok & heard this same noise. Honestly I just drove it for an hour & took it for a wash & she sounds brand new 🧘♂️
Yeah back when I sold cars we would call it lot rot. It would happen after a few days of the cars not being driven. I would have my people drive the nicer cars around for a few miles every morning before we opened. If I knew we had a test drive coming in for a specific car I would have them do the same for that car. It sounds horrible until the rust is gone😂
Okay so ive been in a state of panic the past 2 days trying to find out the scraping noise im hearing all of a sudden coming from the front of my car. My dad took my tires off to see if the breaks need to be done, but they look good. Can I please ask if this is a rust issue what is the level of damage if I cant immediately clean the rust off? Thank you so much!!!!
I had a pea size pebble caught between the backing plate and the rotor making similar noises and driving me bananas. Removed the pebble that all is well again.
Great, informative video, thank you! Is this same mystery noise applicable to rear brakes?! I have a 2002 Accord with a similar noise: intermittent pad grinding sound, mainly on slow turns or parking lot speed. Likewise, brakes are in good shape and never grind when slowing down or stopping!
@@zummliller Yes this can happen on the rear brake rotors too. Exactly under the conditions you described. Thanks for watching please subscribe if you haven’t already 👍

There is absolutely No damage, just the annoying noise. If your situation is similar to this car you can keep driving. Thanks for watching
This just answered questions I've been having. Glad to find the video.

You did that at brake neck speed 😅
Thank you! But if you didn't want to take the wheels off could you use a spray on rust remover followed by petroleum jelly??
@@blaiseducdaumont1280 NO anything petroleum based will ruin your brakes
Man i swear if i changed a damn hub bearing for no reason 😒 but great video

This is great but is there a way to this without taking off the wheel? Maybe spraying some rust remover?
@@PeterWang-f8f short answer No, spraying anything on your brake pads or rotors could ruin them. Thanks for watching.
Try a pressure washer, or a car wash that has a water gun that you use yourself. High pressure water might knock some rust off.
What an incredible video

Daddy, thanks so much and God Bless you!!
Thank you so much that's the problem with my car.

Can WD-40 help that?
No, it would contaminate the brake pads and rotor surface, making the brakes ineffective.
Give it a try. Can't hurt 😂
@@user_abcxyzz it doesnt work ( update : i sold that car :DD)
