I was in hurricane Katrina in MS where it destroyed everything. The wind was so loud I could put my mouth on your ear and scream at top of my lungs and you might have heard something, this went on for 12 hours! In the middle of all that wind 2 tornadoes when through my 5 acres of land, NWS surveyed, and you could hear them OVER the hurricane winds! Both are a sound I will not forget. My children, who were grown adults, said they would hear that sound in their sleep for months afterwards. After that the 2013 Hattiesburg tornado and 3 others came by where we used to live. It is a roar you never forget, ever.
Yeah that’s false… People have taken many videos during Cat 5 hurricanes, and you can hear them speaking perfectly fine. If you ever scream i someone’s ear, it wil be heard simply because of volume depth…so yeah…
@@strongestnattyever-videos2247 As a Hattiesburg resident that also was present for Katrina, @Koakoa45 is correct. The wind was snapping pine trees in half and flinging them 100 feet through the air. Pretty sure you can't hear shit in that kinda wind. Also that Feb 10th 2013 tornado was no joke.
@@kulgreah if someone is literally in your ear (mouth to your ear, as they said) screaming as loud as they can, you will definitely be able to heart them… again, by the science of pitch depth….not my opinion, sorry.
@@strongestnattyever-videos2247 You should take a step back and see how silly you look by even trying to argue about this with people who survived natural disasters.
Here from Pecos Schyma's channel: new subscriber! :D Your shared camaraderie in Argentina made that adventure! 10:36 This is when the tornado's heavy breathing kicks-in. Refreshing to find a chaser channel that lets the twister do the talking. Bravo, sir! 🌪💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨
It’s amazing how quiet and relatively calm the air can seem just a short distance away from a violent EF-3 funnel, as it wrecks havoc on the landscape it's slowly crossing. Great videography in this clip. Perfect footage of the swirling clouds above, before the rain and hail became an issue!
Awesome video! I once watched a tornado form near Punxsutawney PA and was amazed at how it came together. Was the coolest thing to see unfolding right in front of me. TG no one was was hurt.
Pecos Hank brought me here. I have a lot of respect for Hank and what he does, and if the man recommends you then I’m in. Instant subscribe. Excellent footage here by the way. Your Audio is so good I can actually hear the roar. Hope you don’t mind if I binge watch your videos.
Just watched the Argentina trip on Pecos Hank’s channel and clicked the vid link, can’t believe your channel never came up on my searches but it will now, subbed and clicked the notification bell immediately. Great vid!!
This is incredible to watch! Fantastic videography, amazing footage! I hope nobody died or was injured severely in that tornado. Had I taken this I would probably treasure it, assuming it remained only a beautiful phenomenon and nothing worse.
Was this Cisco? Always seen and heard about it being a decent candidate for having EF5 strength, despite the lack of damage indicators. Absolutely mangled forestry & equipment.
Hello from Australia! 🌏 I'm also here from your holiday in Argentina with Pecos Hank. Really enjoyed the still, quiet shots. Coming from the tropics, I've experienced cyclones, but tornados are a beast unto themselves thank you to both you and Hank for feeding my interest!☺
Aloha Scott from Waikiki. I move here 6 yrs ago from CO. My kids and grandchildren still live there. I miss my 4 seasons! Especially spring Thunderstorms across the plains!. Be safe! Mahalo!
Thanks for sharing the raw version Scott! A side note I thought was interesting - I noticed only 1 lightning flash/thunder rumble. Was this storm exhibiting more frequent lightning prior to torgen if you can recall?
The tornado was ongoing when I arrived, so I’m not sure what it was doing prior to the tornado. I’m very afraid of lightning, and I was outside the vehicle until the hail and rain arrived, so I didn’t see any bolts nearby.
I was thinking this too, I'm in the DFW area and every time in my memory, when a tornadic event happened, the storm was very electric. The near total absence of any lightning was unnerving, like a dream. AMAZING footage by the way!
Our house got hit by a tornado in Tulsa, OK in December 1975. There was NO lightening or thunder. It was raining then all of the sudden, huge hail came down. My dad said there was a tornado nearby and started looking for it. I saw it coming down from the wall cloud before my Mom grabbed me & threw me in the tub. It was so loud & the change in pressure was painful
Hi! I've got to ask, is this what a tornado sounds like usually? I've seen hundreds of tornado videos and have been following amazing people like Pecos Hank for many years (who sent me your way from your great Argentina video, wonderful to have found you!) but I've never heard anything quite like this captured on video before! It's Amazing! That low rhythmic booming is incredible! ~ I thought at first it was the wind against the mic but it isn't, at least not all of it is ~ so, say for example it's night and a potential tornado is close by (and perhaps it would need to be a large wedge for example to sound like this) is this what we would hear? Thank you so much for uploading this video and HUge props, this is Excellent footage!
I will never understand our need to hold the camera and hear all the background noise if the person holding the camera. For all that why not get a tripod so we can listen to the event itself?
Amazing!
Thank you! Cheers!
Always nice to see you around in the comments :)

"Sounds just like a train, Hank"? 😜 🤪🤣
well thats something to see this guy in the comments
Here from Hank’s channel! Subbed! Amazing footage!

Amazing video! It's quiet. Footsteps, footsteps, footsteps. Then quiet. Then tornado roar. Well done!
Incredible footage Scott. Thanks for posting the full version
Thank you for not shouting and screaming like some storm chasers do; the natural sounds are quite adequate. Good video.
Glad you enjoyed

Welcome aboard!
Thank you for not screaming. Ambient sound is amazing.
still tied with shawnee 2013 for the loudest roar i’ve heard from a tornado in person

Yes, it was near Cisco-Eastland, TX.
You live in Cisco but raise hell in Eastland .
For awhile the trees match the angles of the tornado almost perfectly that’s an incredible shot
Great video. Need more videos of raw sound with no voices or talking 👍
Awesome work Scott, awesome! Amazing storm!
Thanks a bunch!

I heard that noise live few times already and there's no way to shake off the sheer terror.

Very nicely shot! Thanks for sharing.
Here from Pecos Hank’s beautiful Argentina video. What a cool trip y’all had!
That guy really found his purpose at the end. And got moving some! God bless those affected by this beautiful creation.

@@michelebowen4263My god, what an experience!
Wind noise is kinda overpowering the enviromental sounds. Did you use a windcap or a proper deadcat?
What an amaing video! Im here from Hank's channel. Subscribed! 😊
Great footage! That cricket was just as loud as the nader 😂
Before the RFD got ya this video gave me an odd sense of peace. or Awe? Idk but I hope to see more from ya!
This is really cool footage!
Thanks, Sophie!
Here from Pecos Hank's colab with you. Subscribed!
Amazing catch! 😊 How far were you from the tornado? It was loud!
Awesome! Thx for sharing.
Was that another tornado just to the right or just a lot of inflow at the start of the video?
Incredible footage & sound, thats for sure.
Where was this filmed? I am guessing NE TX.
Cisco-Eastland, TX
Vintage, but brilliant cam of storm...
The song "Symphony of Destruction" would have been nice to hear hahahahaha
around five minutes in, I thought it was dissipating, but how fast these storms can form and reform is mind boggling.
As a matter of fact, it appeared to actually _grow_ as it got closer.

Where in TX was this?
Cisco-Eastland

Blame Hank, he sent me! 🙂
Came from @PecosHank's channel, subscribed! I thoroughly enjoy the work you're doing, man, keep it up!
Awesome, thank you!
I wish I knew how far or close you are from the tornado
1/2 mile at the closest point near the end of the video.

Glad to have you!

Awesome
Looked like it wanted to get big
What’s funny about this tornado it’s not blowing the trees or anything else I know it’s an older video
Excellent excellent excellent!!!

If you were "terrified", it's only because you stood there gawking at it.
It was not a tornado, but an interesting feature indeed. It looks a lot like Hill City, KS June 9, 2005. www.targetarea.net/pic15/jun905sttor1.jpg
Still waiting for the haunting noises. Sorry! But this was a long boring video.
you serious dude?
I should have specified when the tornado roar becomes apparent.
If boring means not hearing anyone talking or yelling, I’ll watch this for an hour.
