Not sure if that really helps though, if running away is an admission of guilt and if you don't run away they will torture you until you admit what ever they want.
So all you could do is do as they say and hope they aren't angry with you for some reason. Or run away and be quicker than them.

I was at a gaming convention years back. Some friends and I were in the hotel restaurant for dinner. Usually con food is pretty generic, like fried chicken and lasagna, but this time the menu was quite varied. One of my friends pointed out a specific dish in pleased surprise. I couldn't resist. "NOBODY expects the Cajun blackened chicken!"

My girlfriend at a con didn't notice the waiter standing right behind her and asked me "Do you think he has gluten free buns?" I looked behind him and replied "No, it's just the way he's standing!"

Kind of the same thing with spam. I had it as a kid on sandwiches in the lunch my mother made me take to school. Nobody thought anything about it, spam was just cheap meat that came in a tin (Yes, I'm that old). Then Monty Python does their Spam skit, and suddenly nobody can eat spam without quoting from it.

Great reaction to a classic bit!
Terry Gilliam, the Python that was almost never seen as he was the one who did all the animations, had a big role in these sketches as Cardinal Fang. While it is denied by many, the truth is that Gilliam was locked in a cupboard and forced to animate bits for the Flying Circus to pay for the unpardonable crime of being an American.
I once got sent to the Principal's office in high school for slamming into a class I was ten minutes late for and shouting "NO ONE EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!" Since the class was a history class I (inexplicably) expected to escape punishment but, alas, as previously stated, I was sent to the Principal's office with a note detailing my act and asking for a suitable punishment. I might have gotten away with it if we hadn't been studying the Korean War at the time.
Naturally, being the excellently behaved student that I was, I scarpered and left school for the day instead. Scholarly behavior like this was just part of the reason I finished a four year high school career in only five years.
Sadly, more of that story than I care to admit is actually true. Wonderful job Megan Ruth!

What you should have done was to pursue higher education in the field of history, to the point where you would have become a very well thought of historian, at which point you would release, to high praise and critical acclaim, a history book about the Korean War where you detailed the Spanish Inquisition's involvement in said war, and sent a copy of the book to both your former history teacher as well as your former principal, in order to legitimize your sudden outburst from that one time you arrived late to class and feel assured that you would finally be redeemed of the injustice done to you in that event.

True story, from some old acquaintances of mine back in the late 70s, when Monty Python and these sketches were very well known in America. There was a Halloween costume party held by the business these folks worked for, and most were sharing what costumes and characters they were going to do up. One fellow steadfastly resisted giving up his secret, surprise costume. All he told the others- repeatedly- is that it would be "something nobody will expect." I leave it to your imaginations as to the description of the costume he turned up wearing!

Go Megan, love your reactions. As you may know, Terry Gilliam, in one of his few early speaking parts here (flashing his red jocks), went on to become a ranking Hollywood director (Time Bandits,12 Monkeys, The Fisher King, Brazil and more). His distinctive, iconoclastic animated vignettes were an essential part of the Python experience.

"Biggles" is playing with the fact that there were a series of novels and short story collections around a Brit airman named Biggles. Early books are really quite racist and appalling, much of which was edited out of the final ones. The readership also downshifted from adults through teens to tweens. So, WW I flying helmet? Ah, that's Biggles. No idea if there's any other link between the character in the skit and the name--maybe he's just an appalling person?--but British audiences would have recognized the reference. To get the best from that sketch, you really need to see first the (serious?) debate chaired by Tim Rice where John Cleese and Michael Palin debate their controversial film Monty Python's Life Of Brian with Malcolm Muggeridge and the then Bishop of Southwark, Mervyn Stockwood. Needless to say, the Pythons run rings around the christians. It's on UA-cam somewhere.
