The Cut & Fill categories you show listed in the 'Other' category in the 'Properties' menu do not appear when I create the existing and new surfaces. I've added them to the Schedule but they still do not appear. Do you know how to add them?
Hi, thanks for your questions. This is not something that I added. Revit provided this natively. It could have something to you with how the topography was set up. Have you got a native Revit toposurface modeled? And have you used the Graded Region tool for cut and fill?
Hello, what if I have the opposite case such as an existing ramp to be demolished and the hole in the terrain to be filled? The building pad doesn't work because it automatically adapts to the topography of the new phase
How did you model the ramp? Did you edit the toposurface to enclose the ramp envelope? I'd like to help, but there are several variables that I can't verify. Feel free to send me a file and I'll have a look for you.
@@SergioBarata Hi, basically there is Revit bug. if you use Massing & Site -> Split Surface tool and find cut and fill it wont work apparently. You gotta use either building pad option or subregion option to get cut and fill. There is discussion online I cant insert link youtube blocks and ppl say it is Revit bug - you should be able to do cut and fills with split surface. Can you comment on that? Why we can't use split surface tool to get cut and fills? Thanks! Try yourself: use split surface and try get cut and fills?
@@SergioBarata thanks Sergio. The problem is I've tried that and you can't snap to topography in section to trace over. Also when you trace over it. It covers the cut line....hmmmm
Do a CAD export, then bring back in again (no need for actually CAD). For the region, set the top line thickness. I’m on vacation for the Christmas period - when I return, I will make a follow up video. All the best!
Good tutorial, easy to follow!
Thanks Daniel! Thanks for taking the time to write a comment. I'm glad this video was helpful.
Fantastic!!
Thanks!
amazing
Thanks 😊

Hi - I would like to help, but I need more information. The steps to follow are shown in the video.

Hi Sergio, any idea how you would show the cut or fill in section? And have the cut or fill hatched differently?
Hi, try phasing filters. If anything, this will at least give you something to trace over with using a filled region.

@@SergioBarata great I look forward to it. Pity there isn't a simple tool for it
