    the real promblems in acc are coming with ifc models that are exported from other not so popular software vendors and the inability of ACC to fix these positioning problems

      Thanks for the comment. Yes, IFCs are a challenge. Many are exported poorly…even though it is possible to export with coordinates in IFC. All the best 👍

      Sergio can you just delete the Workset 1 that creates Revit? I just rename that one as model and never had a problem but will try next time.

    Hi Sergio, I have been trying to import the geolocated CAD file into Revit but it seems to show this issue, "Geometry in the file has extents greater than 20 miles.....". Have you faced this issue? I have been trying to look everywhere for a solution but its still not yet clear

      @@aqueeljumaa2418, how did you import the CAD file. This has to do with the extents of the CAD file. If you copy and paste the CAD elements into a new file and ensure it’s referenced to 0,0,0…then try again.

      @@SergioBarata In my case, The CAD file is geolocated which is probably the reason the issue arises. So I am not sure how to exactly get those shared coordinates in Revit when linking the CAD file with Revit.

    copy/monitor is the biggest scam of bim managers, everyone glances over the fact that you can't monitor most of the elements, definitely not the ones you need

      Thanks for the info! Then that means a scan of e.g. a tank cannot be cleaned or smoothed with that approach unfortunately. Do you know by any chance if there is something available that could do that in Cyclone Register? Currently I have to manually remove points via the rectangle or polygon selection tool, which is cumbersome and prone to errors.

      Yeah for sure, so if you cut a series of horizontal cuts then the fence tool would work well.

      @@SergioBarata eu fiz dois levantamentos(levantamento A e levantamento B), em dois dias diferentes, com 100 estacionamentos, aproximadamente, cada um. O levantamento A já tinha sido descarregado para o cyclone register no PC para um projecto novo, o projecto A. Entretanto, abri esse mesmo projecto e fiz o upload do levantamento B, nesse mesmo projecto, no projecto A. O que acontece é que os dois levantamentos não se misturam no mesmo projecto. Quando carrego no boundle de um, o outro desaparece e vice versa. eu não os tenho em projectos diferentes, mas sim no mesmo projecto. mas não os consigo misturar.

I see at 2:00 that your bundle error numbers are very impressive. 2 millimeters. I never get those numbers. Usually, I get from 5 to 8 millimeters. What scanner and settings do you use to obtain that precision?

    Hi, thanks for the information. I need to scan a 5 floor building, do you recomend first scaning the whole stair from floor 1 to 5. And then completing the floors or another's method should be better?

      Scans should follow a natural walking path. Remember the showcase experience will be affected by your scan sequence. I don’t know the specifics of the site you’re scanning but typically I’d go floor by floor working my way towards the stair. Then on the proceeding level work away from the stair and loop around back to the stair before going up to the next level. Hopefully that makes sense to you.

      You can do this by linking the arch model and then tagging the rooms…just make sure that the "include elements from linked files" option is enabled. From here you add spaces for your MEP calculations.

      Adaptive families are not for beginners. If you need a stair, start with the native stair tool within Revit.

      Select the Topo-Surface and then select Edit Type in the properties palette, then in the dialogue, under Graphics, see Contour display.

      Hi, do you mean delete the redundant projects after the merge? Yes, you can, but it’s always a good idea to have the “fast archive” if you ever need to go back to it for some reason.
