Love your build man. I've the same subwoofer. Unfortunately, running it in a tru-spec enclosure designed for the sundown sa-15-v2. Was all i could afford at the time. I am very impressed with the quality of that enclosure though. I fully expected it to completely blow apart. Was designed for an entry level, probably 30 lb subwoofer and I've mounted a 100 lb mid/ high end, high-powered subwoofer. Maybe the reason it has held up is my lack of power. I'm only running it with a 3k stetsom at the moment. I'm saving up for a db 7500.1D and a custom enclosure with a high output alternator. Probably a few months down the road. For now though, it bangs HARD.
Weirdest shit when I had 2 amps connected at the same time it would make static so I bought a rca static remover and it didn’t do anything so I bought 2 and just connected the ground of both to one of my amps grounds and the static when away completely the rca static removers must have filters inside kinda like tweeters
I think your mids amp is too cause to the lithium & power wires, which can cause that kinda feedback when the sub amp on or connected. Try moving the mids amp as well as changing rca, helped for me
@@AJOSUE depends on the vehicle and the music. In my camry. I have my 15 in 5 cube box tuned to 30 hz facing into the cabin. Sounds way better than if I turn it around. I have 5 layers of killmat and spray foam. Sounds best in my application
You recommend this sub? Haven’t really seen much reviews on it. I’m deciding whether going for this one or the XMAXX Monster from AB. But not sure which one
I bought 4 of the stu avatar 12" big jeff audio is running a sale right now on them for under 300 $ a sub . Just yesterday I put my order in . An I run the 12k taramps md on mine (2) with cyber 12k limitless (2) on mec hman alt. 390 . In a Chrysler 300 limited 2015. An I run the jp 23 1.5 on my Arnold's 6.5 mids an neo 25 super tweeters (2) for highs . Best of luck 👍
@AJOSUE I was considering facing it the trunk way, but I don't feel like putting any mat in there. Was going to face the sub and port to the cabin and *wall* the trunk
@@AJOSUE I have a avatar Stu 15 chilling right now, waiting to build a box. First time building one so trying to get as much info/ research done before I attempt lol
Port needs about 4 to 8" to properly breathe, but this gets the job done.
Thanks that was it
I had some aluminum set screw terminals on it from when I couldn’t crimp
I think your rca and grounds are the culprit. Pretty sure i saw your ground terminal on your starter battery move when u touched it

Nice you’ll love it, that thing can take some power especially if you are wired to 1 ohms
hits hard bro
Nice I also get static from my mids and highs when I use my radio Bluetooth adapter😁 love how loud it is. Hits hard 🔊
Yeah it’s annoying
really only happens when the bluetooth is receiving a signal form either your rca's or ground power

Have you tried to turn your box around with port facing the cabin? Might sound better. The trunk swallows up the sound sometimes
Yup didn't like it at all
@AJOSUE same. It doesn't make sense to me but port and sub facing trunk lid about 5 or so inches away hits so much harder. I don't get it.
Sound waves being amplified by the trunk, it’s like singing in the shower

it beats
Yes it does, but I’m working the crap out of it

Both are really good subs the svl will get louder and xmaxx will play lower

Did you get those stu 12s hooked up yet im looking at either the stu or the svl while their on that crazy 35% off sale. @@stevemaniaci4750
play lower , tune your amp lower it will stay cooler! i had this with resilient sounds subs put the low pass at 40 hz and lower it stayed much cooler
Do you have deadner in the trunk or just used whatever the car came with?
Yeah I have killmat deadner in the trunk
@AJOSUE I was considering facing it the trunk way, but I don't feel like putting any mat in there. Was going to face the sub and port to the cabin and *wall* the trunk
That’s the better way it will be louder, and less rattle it’s all preference really, try it to see which one you like most
@@AJOSUE would you get the avatar SVL 1547? I just bought one and someone said on the lows, they tend to have soft parts
@@RandomBlackGuyisrandom D2 and it played everything very good, it’s stiff and had no problems with the lows
Worth every penny
Sounds like a like your ground or rca jacks are messed up..
That’s probaly causing the noise ur hearing in ur mids n high when u connect the bass amp
No I switched them, same situation
It only does when I have the bass amp hooked up
How are you charging at 14.6 ? I’m charging at 14.8 at the alt but at the headway it’s 13.6
Check your grounds
how you like this sub?
Great sub, wish my trunk was bigger, throw a 5k at it
Try using.a 6 inch areo port that’s what I used
That 8" was good, I just had it on the wrong end
How do you like the 6 inch port? Im looking to go either 6 or 8 inch aeroport
@joshuababulal8412 love it all depends on what you’re running

Both of the songs you played are above 45hz, which is not where this sub performs best. You need to play songs under 40hz and the sub will be happy.😊
Rather not deal with it 😂🤣 got a nsv5 10
I need to add another and I’m good from there
Rather not deal with what?
What he’s saying I play all types of music, it gets hot regardless, oh well it’s a speaker and it will play what I need it to play 🤣😂
true tune mine to 40hz and lower it played cooler playin them higher notes heated subs up
@@AJOSUE I have mine on a smart 5k and have the opposite issue, I need more power!
Poor song choice, that's why it gets hot, this sub doesn't like high Hz, you need to play some low lows.
Gets hot no matter what I pay, it shouldn’t get hot so quickly considering I’m getting 4k at 2 ohms which is only 2k over rms
