Just 2 days after its debut run, this is LSL's latest charter train. A ScotRail push-pull set with class 47 diesel locomotive and DBSO. On this particular February morning the set was due for a test run between Crewe & Shrewsbury, via Chester. However a TfW class 175 decided to catch fire and block the route. So the test run was changed at last minute for a blast up & down the WCML to Preston & back. So by complete chance, I was heading north and managed to jump off at Warrington to film the set heading back towards Crewe, before rejoining another service to continue my journey northbound.

Warrington is in Cheshire in the north west England 🏴. The train 🚊 is probably going to Scotland 🏴. 😄

It is booked to do a 3 day tour from Crewe to Edinburgh and Inverness between 24th - 26th, 2 weeks tomorrow.
Was a test run yesterday due to the unit on fire. But hopefully comes my way as well as Scotland
Nice video bud. Reason why was a fire on the Chester line don't know what it was train wise but it did two trips to Preston and back to Crewe yesterday.
175’s & 180’s are quite notorious for catching fire
Just hope it wasn't 175008 as it's a fond favourite of mine when it was with Northern
