Long hair, a little heavier, facial hair. If I met Joey today without knowing what he had accomplished, what language he spoke, etc, I'd say he was a northern, upper caste, light-skinned Indian man with highlights in his hair.

this, 100%. i was an original 500k subscriber to markiplier, and look where he is now. joey may not show it raw numbers like someone like markiplier, but looking at what he's done and who he's collaborated with shows that more than numbers could.

@RiptideRambo I'm not sure you know what "fallen off" means. In the case of a UA-camr it would mean that they have dropped significantly in viewership and/or their content has lowered significantly in quality.
As a fan that's been here for 8 straight years i've gotta admit this video made me emotional.... i mean i was 13 when i started watching your content, and i'm 23 now lol... watching clips from the old videos just brought a massive nostalgia wave. It's insane! I'm proud to be one of the few who was around since the Corpse Party days. My first introduction the RPG maker genre. Having been through this journey through your videos have been amazing. All the collabs with old friends, relationships found in new friends, the growth of the channel, your move from Australia to Japan, and now your own clothing brand and very successful podcast. Congrats on the 10 years Joey, you deserve it!

It's amazing how even with your anime burnout, you still were able to keep the community all together and provide us very cool concept of videos, even tho they were not always directly related to anime. This proves that you are a good entertainer with an amazing personality and sense of creativity, something that is really missing these days on UA-cam. I think over years, people got invested more in you as a person rather than your anime label. Anime and those hobbies are still part of you, but nothing more than just a part of you, where you are so much more. You yourself become a brand. People see that growth. Your experience. We too growth with you. Some people stays. Some people moves on. Nevertheless you and them were memories to each other. A part of one's life.
Yeah. I found him by looking up gameplay video about some RPG horror game. I couldn't find any with no commentary, so I chose The Anime Man because he annoyed me the least.😅I'm glad I kept checking more of his stuff, for I really warmed up to the guy. Congrazt for ten years!
Joey has showed us around Japan for a long time, I wonder what in-depth videos of Joey showing us around Australia would be like? Maybe driving around chilling with his mates showing us the life of an average Aussie, maybe also videos of petting koalas, finding the biggest bugs and spiders🤷🏻♂️

I may have not been here for all 10 years but the last 6ish years of watching Joey's videos have been some of the most influential and comforting moments of my life. Watching Joey's videos made me feel accepted at a time when anime was viewed in a really bad way and that people thought I was strange because of it. Glad I'm still here watching his videos to witness this new chapter unfold.
Wow. It's been ten years already. I still remember the days when I first stumbled upon this person called "The Anime Man", the countless days I kept on laughing while bingeing your videos. First started with AnswerMeSenpai videos, then moving to other content of yours when I found myself enjoying and wanting more of your funny personality. I'm glad that I let my curiosity (and boredom) do what ever the heck they want because if I didn't, I wouldn't be able to celebrate this 10 year in the way I'm positively feeling right now. To many more years with you and this community!

Honestly, as someone who's been watching Joey's Content on and off for a while now (8 years ish) I'd say overall what brought me to this channel was the anime content. However, as I grew older and changed as well I've began to resonate with his other content more. It only makes sense that we change over time. keep doing you, Joey.

As a person who stumbled upon your channel randomly in 2014 with your Let's Plays I'm so happy I stuck around, especially the last 5-6 years have been amazing. You keep your crown, king. It might not mean a bunch coming from a person you've never met but I am insanely proud of you and what you have achieved.

Back them liking anime/manga was an easy way to get bullied, for me your channel was my safe space so thanks for all content you've made during that time. It's quite a journey to see how we grew up and specifically how I grew up with Joey. When I first watched him back around 2013 - 2014, the world was so different back then. It really got me to contemplate on myself. I just really want to say congrats on the 10 years and hoping for many more years to come.

I don't think that's the general perception people have of asutralians. at least, I don't. A stereotypical Australian in my mind is a free-minded surfer that lives in a small coastal town

I remember watching you in 2015 for the first time and enjoying every minute of it. Kept watching you collab with others, do anime topic videos etc and every video I kept getting more and more intrigued by the content you put out over the years and now we are here. It's crazy that I was in Year 6 (hope you can tell im aussie lol) when I first started watching your content and now I just hit 21 in April. No matter where you take your content or what happens in the future I will continue to support you and im sure many others would. After 8 years of watching and seeing much change, there is joy in this video as a subscriber. UA-cam was a huge escape of reality when I became a mother 8 years ago. Your channel was one I always enjoyed. Postpartum depression was very real for me, so thank you, for 10 years and for the laughs and smiles throughout the years. I don’t hop on UA-cam as much as a used to but when I do I always go to your channel to catch up on some of the latest videos.
As a content creator, hearing people's journey inspires me to keep doing UA-cam.. Sometimes I forget growing on the platform is slow and gradual. Gonna keep having fun and uploading more content. Thanks Joey for being an awesome individual.
