This was a really nice tutorial I have some string coming in tomorrow from Amazon and I’m definitly going to be trying to make this it looks tricky in some bits but for the most part looks very easy!! You also explained this very good most people will for sure get this pattern spot on from this tutorial!!!
My reply is one year late, but I don't think there is much you can really do. Maybe try tying some more string of the same colour to the short strings to extend them.
