I'm so addicted to The Watermelon Game and Stick to the Plan, and I'm still obsessed with Palia. I got Freaky Trip on sale for $1.99 but haven't tried it yet.
I'm late by several months but I just found out about Suika Game. Like you, I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I currently am. One of my go-to "cozy" game is Subara City. I have way too many hours on it and Suika Game might be my new go-to cozy game 🫣
i also have noticed that the promotional art and the covers of some games look better that the actual art in the game. i think the studios invest more of marketing so an illustration attract the attention. Unfortunately though that s something that mobile games do a lot and is not ideal to see it coming on pc cozy games, quantity over quality of games is not what we need . ps i really like this video being more open about the cons made it very interesting
I love when gamers are honest about games. I love how you always give pros and cons and show the game itself in clips. It helps me decide if I want a game or not. Thanks, Payy!
I am HOOKED onto Suika game! It is so stupid and genius at the same time, I love it. I thought I would get frustrated but I find it quite cozy and relaxing, even tho i never even got a melon haha
I heard of the Suika game (watermelon in Japanese) from Koramora. Having found it there, I discovered that two different groups I follow are playing - the cozy gamers and a couple of friends of the Trash Taste podcast (they are mainly three young men who talk about Japanese culture, current events and so on) and their friends. Anyway, the game is definitely addictive and definitely worth the price of admission. I just have to remember to not try one more time....(cue screen - one eternity later....)
As someone that already works at Amazon I won’t be playing Sunrise’s Order. Lol I already have to be there forty hours a week I don’t need to be reminded of how much that place sucks.
Sugar Shack looks like a rushed attempt to clone/grab Haunted Chocolatier's market before it comes out based on the teasers Concerned Ape gave out, without much deeper thought about mechanics/premise etc
I have lost a few games of suika bc of the bounce mechanic and agree thats the only flaw. Considering the physics the game uses i feel like it should let gravity work and allow things to fall back down and then determine if it exceeded the box
I love your videos and I felt the same about Sugar Shack. Um, if you don't see this Payton, does anyone know where she got that yellow rabbit in the top right of her room/setup? I love it 😂
The yellow rabbit is from Plushie Dreadfuls! They have a collection of plushies for different chronic illnesses and that’s their endometriosis one which is the illness I have!
38:52 … I was in the same boat, Pay, about this game. I saw everyone playing it since it came out a couple weeks ago, and I thought it was going to be your average mobile game (which I’m not really into). HOWEVER, I watched this video last night and you convinced me to check it out. Not only did I stay up until 1am playing it, but I got my partner hooked on it as well! This just goes to show how much impact your reviews on these games has on some of us. Whether or not I check out a game really depends on what you have to say about it.
This may be a weird question, but what's the best way to play on PC? I usually play on the Switch, so I'm used to using a controller. Do you recommend a PC controller? Thanks!
Not a weird question!! I use an XBOX controller for games I play on PC and I mostly play with controller I only play mouse and key board recently if I have no other option! You can use a switch pro controller as well but the XBOX controllers were the ones most recommended to me so that’s what I tried!
I saw Freaky Trip in your previous video (literally last night) And popped on my switch to see it was on sale for £1.50, plus I had some switch gold (or whatever it's called) so it was almost free. I was able to complete it, but I did have to look up a few things only to find that I was doing the right thing and the game just kept bugging out. Its unfortunate as I loved the art, and the idea of more absurdist reality puzzles, but the length + the bugs definitely not worth full price, and probably not worth the frustration even on a good sale
Ugh I’m so sorry you ran into bugs! I’m so glad you ended up getting it on sale at least! I was so excited in my previous video talking about the game so I was definitely disappointed as well!
Hi I’m not sure if this is an awkward or mean question but are you wearing a chewable necklace? (This is not an insult to your necklace I think it’s so pretty chewable or not lol) I’ve been struggling to find discreet ones so just wanted to ask x
i don't wanna be mean but shugar shack is sooooo ugly. it looks like a 16 year olds drawing who thinks they absolutely nailed it and maybe that is the reason it was published in the first place because like come on now, they can't ACTUALLY think that their game looked good. don't compare your artwork too much and too harshly but if you're going to sell it, some comparison doesn't hurt. you need to see how your stuff really looks
best review ever 10/10 i loved how there were more pros than cons in this video yes to pizza possum the most coziest and chaotic game of the year suika game yes this game is super addictive and told myself i wasn’t going to get addicted to this game nope i was wrong 😂 thank you Payton for your honest feedback and opinions on these games 💙🦥
What was YOUR favorite cozy game this month?
I am obsessively playing Moonstone Island atm☺️
I'm surprised about it, but I am actually loving Fae Farm! =)
kinda late to the party but I've been playing dredge absolutely non-stop 🥰⛴

the thing that annoys me about suika is that when you go to a side of the tub, the cursor hops to the other side 😭 it's so damn annoying
I absolutely LOVE cattails! I started playing it this weekend and it’s so utterly wholesome and fun!❤ great video! Xx
As someone that already works at Amazon I won’t be playing Sunrise’s Order. Lol I already have to be there forty hours a week I don’t need to be reminded of how much that place sucks.

As a broke student: Saiko game is worth it! Heck its 3 bucks and fun!
omg. thank you for the insight into Sugar Shack! this was on my list, but the inventory management (or lack thereof??) is a deal-breaker.
I have lost a few games of suika bc of the bounce mechanic and agree thats the only flaw. Considering the physics the game uses i feel like it should let gravity work and allow things to fall back down and then determine if it exceeded the box
Sometimes I’m slow and I be needing hints so I agree with u

As a fellow cozy gamer with a chronic illness I really feel at home on your channel 💜

Which Suika game? It looks like there are many different versions by different devs
I gotta say I'm new to the channel so I'm not sure if you've talked about them before but i'm super excited for Fields of Mistria and Witchbrook!
So excited to watch!!
Cozy puzzle games are definitely getting better!! It makes me so happy bc I love puzzles they’re the perfect pick up whenever you want game

It’s not a chewable necklace, it’s a charm made out of a piece of the stage from a broadway show I like!
