We did the same cruise..we had a good time but the food was not the best. If you’ve ever sailed on Royal Caribbean or Holland America you will know how cruise food should be.

As always loving your videos no matter where you are. I found you when I was researching my first carnival cruise several years ago and I’ve been watching ever since. Now I want to try and book another cruise! (We’ve had several cancel the last 18 months!). Have fun!
We did this same cruise on Princess Cruise...brings back memories, we ate on the pier and watched the kids fish too! Can't wait to see Ensenada

I didn't realize the water was so blue and clear in Catalina. Beautiful!
If anyone is wondering. I just returned back from catalina and gone 2x this year back to back within a month. During summer it is super busy. Frim 1-4pm everyone goes back to there homes or hotels to get ready for night life. I was there for the Catalina Wine Mixer. Summer time is amazing. Winter is slower at the island full with cruise ships. I highly recommend lobster trap restaurant. Best local restaurant. I am planning to move to the island after EMT school and working there. I totally fell at home in the island even though I leave in Ventura County which is extremely close to the beach. But catalina Beach is just something else. I recommend anyone going from Thursday to get a feeling of the entire island. Fridays and weekends are more busy so I recommend going from Thursday through Sunday. Also the best ice cream in the island is Lloyd's ice cream. If anyone goes you'll see why.

Great flashback seeing Catalina Island when I lived in Cali I took a ferry there was a work event in that big round building I think it was built as a Casino? The ferry ride back at night I saw the milky way for the first & only time great memories thanks for sharing all your adventures!!!! I live back home in Toronto Canada but really need to come back for a vacation to Calf a cruise around there might be the right thing to do.

They have the eggs/omlette separate for health regulations because you have to order the eggs prepared that way yourself. It looked like they tenderized the meat with pineapple but did it for way too long and it became mush! Lunch looked good. I did an Ensenada cruise a decade ago but it didn't stop in Catalina. Another great video Bill & Lisa!

I am enjoying your Miracle Vlogs so much. My sister and I will be on the Miracle in January when we go on a 14 night Hawaiian cruise from Long Beach. Keeping my fingers crossed that they don't change or cancel it.

That restaurant on the Island was closed and there was a bee infestation. And of course you did a pun, not knowingly, that you had to go to Plan "B". LOL Melaney from SoCal, San Clemente, just East of Catalina!!

We were meant to have been on one of the nice cruise ships going through Alaska last May until corona hit from Australia.But, the better news is we got most of our money back and renovated our house :)

Typical cocktails run $10-12.

I love cottage cheese and peaches or strawberries but I even eat cottage cheese with tomato & pepper yummy!
When at Catalina, did you see any flying fish?? That's the only place I have ever heard of them being from. Also that clam chowder you had looks like the chowder from the Fisherman's Restaurant on the San Clemente Pier. Very thick and creamy! Melaney from SoCal, San Clemente.

RE: The "prime rib"..... There is a process by which meat is brined, and put through a tumbler, like a clothes dryer, to make it tender. Sounds like what you encountered.
