This is the band of my youth all of you in 2021 who grew up in Canada in the 80s like me who love good music like this let's raise a glass of good cheer to this amazing era of Canadian music cheers everyone and be safe
I bought this cassette when it came out in the late 80's. It still kicks you in the butt from the intro guitar lick on.... Isn't UA-cam cool to find this stuff again?
wow..one those Canadian content tunes MM put in its rotation that i remember hearing ..but had to actually hear again to remember over 30yrs later...i was 18 in 88 back then i still imagined 2016 (and MM) not being all that much different ....so naive ...who could have imagined the internet which was huge in making music stations almost obsolete for watching music videos ...though ironically without the internet the past is still visually and audible alive ..
Yeppers.... It's 2024 and THIS Album and BAND is perhaps MORE RELEVANT Today than EVER! ARNIE's Songwriting Is SPECTACULAR and FROZEN GHOST has featured some of The HOTTEST MUSICIANSHIP Canada Delivers! AWESOME!
Just discovered this amazing hit this year. I was super surprised to learn about how few 80s fans know about this band! So underrated yet so incredible! I love when musicians pour their soul into their music
I live in Washington State about 6 miles south of the USA/Border, and Vancouver BC is about 40 miles NNW of my place, so as you can imagine, we pick up Vancouver radio stations loud and clear, and Vancouver’s Jack FM station (which is 96.9 on the dial) still plays this song once in a while!!!
I am a Zep,Petty,Springsteen,Stones fan but why is this one of my favorite songs off all time? First time i heard this back in the 80's i thought 'damn' is this a wicked song.
John Bouvette on the drums... I would go downtown to watch John playing with "Wild T" Springer in the early 90's and I'd be taking notes on players packs of the chops he used when he was playing. John became a friend and mentor and was definitely a contributor to my style as a drummer. Cheers Johnny, time marchs on but it's nice to remember...
Coming from the HEARTLAND this song is AWESOME! Please post more, from Canada and south! From one who is in her 40's, I heart Yer MusicPLus and MuchMusic!!!Pls dont STOP posting the AWESOMENESS!!
This was a big hit in Los Angeles at the time, for a week or two :( Check out their albums, all the songs are good on them. Real song crafting showing a lot of work going into each one. The lyrics are truly phenomenal poetry to illustrate the value of non-material life.
Fantastic super melodic chorus along the Am Em C G D and a haunting melodic opening verse along the A open plus incredible harmonies on the downshift C.Just beautiful song writing.I have tons of fun playing and harmonizing with all their songs. You can tell when a songwriter has a great ear and understands great sense of melody and harmony and hears everything.Perfect pitch.
I live in Fredericton NB where the dominant FG songs played on our radio stations are either 'Beware The Masque' or 'End of the Line' and then just the other day this came on and I almost lost my shit
Always were a great band - Arnold Lanni (Singer/writer/producer) Is amazing at getting great sounds - his ear is super. Guy wrote great songs too. He is a much sought after producer in TO now...Get him to cut your next demo and see how fucking amazing it sounds!
Watching after all these years and wondering- Is it just me or did just about every Canadian bass player in the 80s try to look like Geddy Lee from Rush?
@davidfoster914 I prefer this tune, and other 80's music on the Coquihalla Hwy enroute to Hope BC,very loud !! Only cause i've never driven the 401...Don't have any plans to either ;-) Too busy going west to go east...
A very underrated band imop was able to get all of the CDS very cool and awesome anyone know if they wll ever Tour? im sure im dreamin? anyone hear if they may come back let me know thanks
@frozenghostsongs I know this is a REALLY late reply, but what the hell. :) I live the US and I can't recall ever seeing Frozen Ghost played on any music channel I've ever watched and I've been watching them since MTV first started and was a real *music* network. LOL In fact, I haven't even met another person here in the US who knew what I was talking about when I mention Frozen Ghost. I love the band, but here in the States they went almost entirely unnoticed I'm sad to say.
@frozenghostsongsiwonder What grabs me in this song is how much the word why is used. I seem to be asking the same the questions of Why, Why is love so many questions, Why dose love make us so insecure, why is love so unkind why dose love have conditions. For me I ask, Why is life so many questions? Why dose life make me so insecure? Why is life so unkind? Why dose life have conditions? Hopefully someone can answer that. God help me.
Who's here in 2024? Woohoooo how we love our Canadian bands who deserved so much more!!

It was awesome enjoying the 70s and early 80s fantastic tunes of Canadian artists.
The girl in this video looks familiar.....was she in another music video ?

Thats true, but its the story of thousands of groups.
