Like your channel. I’m up in Bowling Green. Just bought a new house in the fall so I’ll be renovating this fall. I’m spending this spring and summer controlling weeds and improving soil health.
Say hi to Cake! 🎂 Still here, watching, and watching your shorts, too! I'm following along as I promised. I did the lawn care program and got the first one down just a couple days ago. Seemed late, but like you said better late than never. Also Anderson's website said it wasn't too late. I'll do the 2nd one in mid-late May as they say too (or you if your video comes out first heheh). I did get a TON of rain the couple days after laying down the first one. I hope it soaked in and didn't get all washed out.
Thank you so much for following along!! I hope everything is going well with your lawn! You’ll be fine. You would’ve had to have basically flood conditions for it to have washed out your stuff!
@@TheLawnReview Thanks for the reassurance. I"m about to put down Humichar from Anderson's now. Like Ironite, you can apply as often as wanted. Also going to use Duocide to treat for grubs!
Great channel bud… Barney style easy to understand . What is your recommendation for sticker weeds? Those little spiky balls that survive every herbicide I throw at it . Liked and subscribed
Thanks for the kind words, Miguel. Sticker weeds are tricky. Basically not much you can do for them once the spikes are out. If you can get them before they "bloom" (like the winter months, or depending on where you are NOW) then you can get them with a standard herbicide.
Definitely the kind of video I was looking for, since I heard The Andersons is great to use. Question for ya, how many days do you wait between steps 2,3, and 4? Appreciate it!
Thanks for the comment! Honestly you can do all of that the same day if you have all the stuff! They all do different stuff so there shouldn’t be a risk for stressing out the turf
@The Lawn Review awesome! I already have the 4 step program, but biochar and humic DG totally seems like it would help as well. Hopefully I can get both this week, in conjunction with putting down the weed and feed. Thanks again!
Hi, I am a new home owner and this is my first time taking card of lawn.....Thanks for your videos. They're super helpful. I checked the Andersons Lawn Program and it seems that there is no Barricade Pre-emergent in the program. Is the Barricade Pre-emergent a separated step before "Application 1: Crabgrass Preventer Plus Lawn Food 26-0-6"? Thank you.
Hey! Congrats on owning your first home. Yes, I have an early spring lawn care video that is the precursor to this video. It has all a bunch of tips and links to the Anderson's barricade. Watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/x2nayt-TOMc/v-deo.html
I am! I grow tall fescue as we are in a transition zone. Looks amazing in the Spring and Fall but needs a lot of water in the Summer. It's what I would go with if I was new to the area.

Love it! Glad it could be helpful. Bowling Green isn't too far away!

No problem! Best of luck! You can put the biochar & humic whenever you want!
Hello, thank you for taking the time to provide this info/content. Question, does the lawn need to be dry before applying The Andersons Pre Emergent?
Thanks for watching! No, it doesn't need to be wet before but you should water it in after you apply or wait to put it down right before a rain

You're from Nashville right? I'm new to the area, Franklin. I've been debating on what type of grass to grow.. What do you recommend? Cheers!
