It’s so nice that you’re “growing up with us”, a lot of us that watched you from your glam makeup days are now mums too and have similarly evolved and changed into prioritising family and home instead, and I love that I get to continue on this journey with you
lol I’m glad we’ve all aged with her because I started watching her makeup videos…childless. Now I put my kids to bed and watch while eating string cheese for dinner
I’m watching and hiding under a pillow at 1 am while my 14 month old twins are sleeping in their cribs next to me because I’m terrified of waking them up 😂
Thank God this isn't a sourdough recipe! I can't keep a starter for the life of me and I have a lifetimes worth of yeast in my freezer from quarantine lol You are the best!
Um, hi... bingeing your videos. I"ve discovered a love for cooking recently and want to make this bread immediately... what a great recipe and thanks for explaining it so simply. Bread-making always seemed daunting but it seems doable now, just in time for back to school lunches! I'll check out your link since I don't have a stand alone mixer, just a handheld one. 🙃
Yes! Raw Baker Kristi! I made this recipe a couple weeks after watching this video and it’s delicious. You inspired me to use the dough hook attachment on my mixer for the very first time. 🎉
This is exactly what I needed right now. I’ve been trying to cut down on ultra processed foods/calories, but I just love bread so much. I think I’ll be able to have the best of both worlds b/c of you! ❤
I’m an excellent cook but the thing that opened up baking and ice cream making for me was getting a kitchen scale and measuring ingredients by weight. Holy crap… a whole new world.
I love emmafontanella! All her recipes are so good and she is just the sweetest sunshine person. With you doing her recipe I feel like i'm on the right side of the internet right now 🥰
Girl!! I just made bread today too! It kind of looks like we have similar oven, not to mention identical mixers! Mine has a proof function and I think I spotted it on yours too, it's made my life much easier in the colder months! Your bread looks incredible!
Ok so. I saw your IG on this a few days ago and next day made the bread. First time ever. It was great. Now I have the bread making bug and made pumpernickel bread yesterday. I credit YOU for unlocking this bread baking era. I always stayed away from bread baking because I was under the impression that it was intermediate baking. So, thank you.
Thanks for the inspiration, Kristi. I've been baking bread for decades, but lately I've been avoiding bready carbs. HOWEVER, my hubby still likes a sandwich or two and he has been wondering if he will ever see a loaf of bread again. So this morning I decided to try your recipe. It's raising in the warming oven right now. My other go-to recipe is Jim Lahey's no-knead bread which is amazing. The good thing about that bread is that no special equipment is required. It needs to be mixed (just with a spoon) and left to do its magic overnight. Its the type of bread that comes out with a crackley French bread type crust and a moist yummy crumb. EDIT: Your bread recipe turned out perfectly! My husband sends his thanks!
I need to try this! I bake sourdough breads and also am getting into injera. This one would be good for PB&J type sandwiches which we dont typically use sourdough for. Bring on more baking content!
Trying it right now! About to bake it. Did you know most modern ovens have a bread proof button on them. I just found out about it like 2 months ago. Game changer!
Thank you Kristi! My husband and I just watched this on our tv and now giving you another view on my phone 🥰 … can’t wait to try this it looks absolutely delicious! Ps you’re my friend who doesn’t know I exist lol 💕
I have to try this! Also, I live for this content. I agree we have grown together. Im inmy new mom era with a 6 month old and sure makeup is still great, but this is the content I'm looking for. If this makes you happy, please keep doing it because I love it ❤
I made this recipe twice today and both loaves turned out amazingly! First batch I followed the recipe exactly and my dough was a bit dry so I added more milk, second batch I added a little more milk from the beginning; to get a stickier dough. Maybe it’s a difference of altitude, great recipe and thanks for linking the original video too cuz I watched them both ❤
I loved the video! One thing that I stopped doing recently with my bread loaves was that I stopped shaping my loaves! I have very limited counter space and I just felt like I could never trust my counters being clean enough to shape it on and it was always just a mess (and I'm not a germ freak or anything, just have two dogs so hair is everywhere lol) and the loaves still turn out looking great!
So, I know you're getting a TON of insane heat online but came here to say I love this new direction of your channel. Homeschooling is something I'm passionate about and it sucks to see other moms blasted for it. People need to mind their business 😘 You're doing great! I'm trying this recipe ASAP. I'm a decent cook but for some reason the idea of making bread from scratch was always intimidating! PS your ColourPop palette is still my all time fave palette
Loving this chapter of you! (I also went from loving makeup to instead loving all the things you've mentioned). P.S. if you happen to have a seed germinating mat, you can pit it under the bowl when waiting for dough to double and and under the bread pan when it's in there. I do it all the time, even with non instant yeast and it rises within an hour if not less!
It’s so nice that you’re “growing up with us”, a lot of us that watched you from your glam makeup days are now mums too and have similarly evolved and changed into prioritising family and home instead, and I love that I get to continue on this journey with you
I’m here for the homestead arc
Absolutely same. Love it here❤
Thank you Kristi! No one EVER explained these bread “secrets” to me. I actually think I can do this! ❤️
I will literally watch Kristi do _ANYTHING_ 😊❤
Me too
Just put my baby to bed. Standing here in my kitchen watching this while I eat peanut butter straight from the jar. This is my life now. 😂
lol I’m glad we’ve all aged with her because I started watching her makeup videos…childless. Now I put my kids to bed and watch while eating string cheese for dinner
That's the BEST way to eat peanut butter in my opinion!! Just give me a spoon..... Hang in there, you've got this!!🤗
I’m watching and hiding under a pillow at 1 am while my 14 month old twins are sleeping in their cribs next to me because I’m terrified of waking them up 😂
Thank God this isn't a sourdough recipe! I can't keep a starter for the life of me and I have a lifetimes worth of yeast in my freezer from quarantine lol You are the best!
RAW BAKER KRISTI

I’m an excellent cook but the thing that opened up baking and ice cream making for me was getting a kitchen scale and measuring ingredients by weight. Holy crap… a whole new world.

Girl!! I just made bread today too! It kind of looks like we have similar oven, not to mention identical mixers! Mine has a proof function and I think I spotted it on yours too, it's made my life much easier in the colder months! Your bread looks incredible!

In the oven with the light on is the BEST proofing environment I’ve found for breads and doughs

Im gonna be brave and try it!!
