Here is the recipe for this savory pound cake #sourcreampoundcake
INGREDIENTS
3 Cups all purpose or cake flour
1tsp Baking Powder
2 Sticks Salted butter (softened at room temperature)
1/2 Cup vegetable oil
2 Cups Granulated Sugar (I don't like so much sugar, so I used 1)
1 Cup Powdered or icing sugar
6 large eggs at room temperature
2 tsp Vanilla extract flavor
2 tsp Butter or Caramel flavor (optional)
1 tsp Lemon flavor (optional)
1 Cup Sour Cream (room temperature)
METHOD
Preheat oven at 180C/358F
Prepare a baking pan and set aside
Beat eggs and set aside
Sieve Flour plus Baking Powder and set aside
In a large and clean bowl, beat butter and medium speed until creamy
Add in granulated sugar gradually and continue beating at high speed
Add in powdered sugar gradually and continue beating at medium speed
Add beaten eggs bit by bit
Add vanilla extract (and all other listed flavors if you have)
Continue beating until well combined
Add flour in batches
Incorporate the sour cream and combine
Pour into the prepared baking pan and bake for 35-40 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean
