So, I guess I got under SOMEBODY's skin, because we've got another challenge run suggestion from Team Naraka. And boy oh boy did they stop pulling their punches.
Can you be competitive in Naraka Bladepoint without using armor? Time to find out.

but the ultimate gives you armor and the challenge is to use no armor.
I saw this on steam recently (last night) and it's getting bombed for going free since it's now asking players to disable HCVI protection for performance improvement, causing a lot of (unnecessary?? Idk, I can't say, I'm not educated enough, only observing), commotion or panic about CCP data stealing or otherwise. Even steam is trying to hide these "off topic reviews" even though it's talking about a possibly valid issue with the game. Overall pretty sketch approach to me. Much love lemon, do what you gotta do for a check, but I wanted to at least share my observations since I randomly came across it just recently
The game looks incredibly fun, and I'd love to play it. Problem is that the anticheat for the game is literal spyware and playing the game requires you to disable windows security features.
just gonna say that this is gonna be one of your lowest viewed videos because it has literally nothing to do with the content on your channel. adding ''challenge run'' to the title isn't gonna help... like at all

Random Fun Fact: I did a No Armor(Weakest Arnor) Challenge in Diablo 3 for free time and gotta say, it actually makes that game way less "Easy due to Spam"

I was highly, highly amused by the “oh god, sticky keys” moment. I’ve had a few moments like that in games, even once when I accidentally alt+f4’d in a Bannerlord battle… that one felt bad.
Howd you pull that off?
@@intensellylit4100 right, so Bannerlord makes you give orders with the f1-f9 buttons. Bannerlord also highlights items and enemies if you press alt.
So, if you’re using alt to spot the enemies and find the right time to use the command attached to f4, there’s a decent chance you accidentally kill the game.
Hahahaha imagine the devs are so impressed that they send you another challenge. You know what there actually trying to do though they are trying to use you so they can balance the game. 😂
Still better than making bad balance batches that either make weapons op or useless.

Not the challenge run I expected but I love it! Very cool to see another Naraka run, it's been one of my go to screw around games since I picked it up after your last run of it
The mech looks like it can be countered by running towards it, not away from it. Dance at its feet like it's a Dark Souls boss and it'll run out of time eventually.
"Play without armor." "This character's ultimate gives me armor." Hmmmm HHHHMMMMMMM.

Hey, just want to thank you, Oh Great Backlogs. You got me into Naraka: Bladepoint with your first video. Got a game where I got a blue repeating crossbow with my duo partner being Viper, which resulted in a very sad enemy support when they got 1900+ damage over those 5 seconds of stun from it.
I'm watching this before the new lets game it out vid. That's how you know you made it👏👏
This is very impressive and very entertaining as always, but I have a question. I recognize there may not be much of a mechanical difference compared to a healing ultimate, but isn't being the armor during the ultimate against the spirit of the challenge?
Mnh, I would argue that the challenge was to win without *equipping* armor. The fact that the mech has armor health rather than character health (and your health can still be damaged while you're using it) seems like a very different thing, conceptually, than actually using your armor slots on your character, you know?
@@thaddeusgenhelm8979 I don't think its armor slots, I think its the 'armor/shield healthbar' that isn't allowed, which i exactly what the ult gets.
@@Spookynoises125 I mean, as that idea didn't even seem to cross Lemon's mind, and since his last challenge was a gear restricted challenge, why do you assume this challenge was supposed to be a mechanic restriction rather than a gear restriction like the last one?
@@thaddeusgenhelm8979 I'll be honest, I didn't think there was 'armor' in the traditional, gear, sense, but just 'armor' from the pickup.
I didn't realize you had to get armor gear that gave you a maximum shield value, then pick up powder to heal it.
Looking into it more apparently there is and I was wrong. Still feels against the spirit, but makes sense.
@@Spookynoises125 Ah, yeah, I can understand that, if the only sort of armor existed was just temporary power ups that wasn't equipment, the fact that he was getting it through an ult rather than the normal method would seem like a direct violation of the challenge, I getcha.
Never played this, didn't seem like my cup of tea and I've never like BR games but this video was brilliant, actually got me really interested in the game. The combat looked so fun, really great video.

The counter to the mech feels like it would be sticking really close and constantly stay to its side.
When an enemy is bigger and slower than you, you stick close and keep light on your feet.

I'd like Battle royales better if they also had more traditional multi-life Death Match or Objective modes. I'd also prefer if they weren't full of obnoxious twelve year olds but, that's a problem for pretty much every multi-player game at this point.

The player who got you on game 2 plays like me, wins with lows kills and damage. It's a survival game after all!

This game looks freaking amazing!
A couple DS1 challenge run ideas:
1. Dark souls without any melee attacks (Magic, Miracles, Pyromancy, Bows, Crossbows and good ol Firebombs)
2. Dark Souls with only blunt weapons (Mace, Hammer, Pickaxe ig and others)
3. Dark Souls without putting a single level into Endurance, Strength or Dex.
I'm sold, any excuse to use a mech is a good excuse in my book.

Game went f2p. That's rarely a good sign. That being said, personally I think (optimization aside) it's got decent gameplay but it commits the cardinal sin of online pvp games, matching you against very stupid bots without telling you. Every single match I played I found myself going against the most braindead bots that pugs would struggle to compete with in a moron contest. It. Is. Severe.
But hey, it's f2p and I'd be surprised they DIDN'T take the chance to throw newbies at their entrenched players for the sake of content.

So I looked into it and apparently spears did get a huge buff recently. I saw a lot of posts complaining about how oppressive spears and daggers are. Not sure how up to date those posts are though.
