The BEST CODING Bootcamp ONLY PAY When You Get a JOB

To clarify a few things about this video. No matter what, there is no "best" because everyone has their opinions. The factors I looked at when people talk about wanting to join a bootcamp. I noticed people worried about the money, time, and support aspect of bootcamps. Yes I genuinely believe this might be the best bootcamp right now not only for the technical, but everything else surrounding it. You don't have to agree, I understand everyone learns differently, everyone CAN do it all on their own. But with that being said, enjoy the video :)
Matthew T I finished the precourse a couple months ago and was planning to start in October. I got hung up too. Trust two things; 1: The precourse is a precourse, a preview of what you can expect on the regular. 2: The thing that got me over the hump when I was stuck was to read the questions very very literally. Keep it simple, and answer literally what’s asked, don’t read into anything.
Good luck!🍀👍 You got this!
Matthew T curious to know if you made it? If ur still stuck lmk we can hop on discord and talk it out man!

Some of you guys asked for this, so I mashed two videos together. My experience with coding bootcamps and what I genuinely feel like is the best bootcamp. I hope this helped you in your decision making if you are looking into bootcamps. And again, because there is always some one in the comments just not wanting to listen. IM NOT SPONSORED BY THEM. Trust me I wish because there is 35 dollars in my bank account right now..... I need to stop ordering food. Anyways enjoy the video share the video, all that good stuff.
I wish you well.
also if you are on discord i can get you some pro and talk to them show them what you know and may be they may be able to help you get job !
6.29 in my bank account rn hahaha hoping I get a job by may
I wanted to join their EU course but they have just stopped it
I am not familiar with the US job market, since I am in Europe. But I do think the job market is really oversaturated (mainly in the Web Development) with both Junior and Senior candidates competing for the same job openings. Currently, the trend will be for the wages to stagnate or even plummet in the long term, due to the fact that everyone is moving to IT due to the high salaries. Corporations and Governments certainly had a lot of doing in this since they want to ruin this Industry.
I just wanted to say . I’m a TL former student for lambda school . Everything this guy is saying is true. The money aspect of the ISA is good . But even if they didn’t have that they’re actually curriculum is so much better than any other bootcamp . Plus it’s 9 months compared to all the other 12-14 week schools . I think they take so much more time and invest so much more in there students because they literally only get paid if the students get job . Lambda took my from working construction at 9 dollars an hour to bring a software developer . I’m so grateful.
I wish people weren't so hateful towards bootcamp grads. I'm going through App Academy's online bootcamp and I feel like being forced to code pretty much every waking moment for the past 6 months is preparing me for my first job.
I start Lambda in January and this video made me feel very reassured about the choice. I've gone over a lot of different reviews, videos, and reddit threads about lambda, and was a bit anxious given all the negative talk people have about bootcamps. So point is thank you for making this video! It is very nice to hear some positivity.
“Watch me be unemployed” 😂😂
There’s something satisfying about following somebodies journey. Good luck with everything man! I’ll be keeping up with your videos.
i appreciate that man, looking forward to posting more
Hey bro! Just wanted to say, I love the channel! I'm 22 years old, and I graduated from a pretty intensive 6 month code boot-camp about 2 months ago. I'm in a similar situation as you, and I really appreciate the content you put out and wish you the best of luck on your journey. I look forward to seeing you land that dev job!
Hey can you do update? Did you find job ?
Hey Danny, looking for an update bro, wish you the best!
whoa 22 soo old bruh
Stumbles upon this video, I love it. I can really sense the honesty in your experience and your openness. I found it a few years after posting but i hope you are continuing to do great and happy. Quality video
Lol I love your edits. Great message too about practice making perfect!
I graduated from Lambda back in August and am currently a TL. I know some people look down on bootcamps because they think you can't learn coding in three months and I understand because you have to keep coding to get better. You don't become an expert overnight. I did try to go the self taught and teach myself but I found myself feeling confused and unsure on what to do. I did a bootcamp before and didn't feel prepared at all so I was hesitant on doing another bootcamp. I heard about Lambda through a friend and decided to give it a shot and got accepted a year ago and now I'm looking for work.
Nothing wrong with people wanting to do a bootcamp, especially if the bootcamp is actually helping students prepare them as software engineers and to get a job. Not all bootcamps are scams and I've met smart engineers who did a bootcamp and have gotten jobs. So it is possible.
DT have you gotten a job?
any luck with jobs?
I absolutely hated coding in college, right up until i started doing the assignments with friends. Since I had a few weeks more experience, I ended up being the lead in most instances. I became so much more enthusiastic about it when I had a feeling of responsibility to explain concepts to others. It's the best way for me to learn. Try find an opportunity to teach others about what you're doing. ITs amazing how much it helps!
6:28 is a classic illustration of recursion in programming😆
I start lambda in January man!
Glad to see you back on UA-cam lary! I was a big fan of your old vlogs I’m happy to have found your channel again! It’s funny that you go to lambda school now because I just started with them. I’m in the iOS13 cohort and I love Lambda they are great! Stay up bros
Don’t they require several thousand down to start?
Learning programming really seems difficult to many sir. This is often because of the wrong approach they apply to learn to code. You can start with learning the basics, like syntax, data types, variables, loops, arrays and so on 😩
Hey Larry, glad to see you’re doing well . I also love the authenticity of your and appreciate your advise
good to know. so many useful stuff. i really hope it got to people who need it most
I love the aesthetic music 😂❤
great message!
Hello i see the video what you say in video so true i am my self learing python self and get cofuse by amout of guide up there on youtube dont know which one to seek !
Great video man Thank
Lambda bootcamp. 50k job or you pay nothing. 17% for 2 years after getting job. that's what it costs
Thanks for the like man. I am a 30y/o guy thinking about coding. I downloaded Python and made my first hello world yesterday... I had it wish my parents a happy anniversary! I really want to do a little self learning and then look into Lambda. I graduate HS right before the financial crisis 08' and had to go straight into the workforce to help my family. now that I am older I need to actually do something with my life. I feel that a whole generation was lost and set very far back bc of that crisis. I am determined to become versed in these technologies. Thanks for making this video.
@@Habeev07 Dude, I'm in the same shoes. I was supposed to graduate in 2009 but had to get to work for the same reasons
"Liked" just because you came clean about only a few people asking. Respect.
Yo @DummyCodes, are you in the bay?
hi!, im impressed that this channel has only 5mil subs, I tihnk is a incredieble chanel for people like me that are learning to code, Saludos desde españa!
Love your videos and your journey bro. Keep it lit my guy!
Thank you for this video keep posting please!!!
Nice Post Thx For Sharing....
Bless me with the laptop doesn’t matter that it’s used This can really change my life
The editing was on point period
I would love to see a video of you going to a coding event in your area!
I’m doing their precourse right now and omg I’m struggling. T_T shit is hard. Coming in as a straight up noob to coding. I wish there was a bit more teaching for some of the JS assignments. I’m dying 😵 but I will succeed. Def going to be using slack.
you need a creditworthy cosigner in order to not pay anything upfront that is a VERY important detail
Dummy Codes, why did you choose Web development instead of Java?
Can you please clarify which one should I choose, how should I choose? Which one is more promising in future?
Perhaps someone else can answer me?
Love your edits
Many bootcamp graduates sir are eager to make a career change, get back into the workforce after a leave or simply add to their existing coding skills.
Thanks for the info! I literally just got laid off from my job just now and wondering Wth imma do now.
Litterally love the vibe of your channel your really genuine
what code should i start with..
Depends what type of stuff you wanna make
Natural and genuine content

Good day, Sir. I'm a senior high school student from the Philippines, I never really did imagine that I'll be doing this kind of stuff but I'm in so much need. My school will be conducting a online class and as a student, I don't want to skip a school year, the problem is I don't have any reliable gadgets that may help me and if ever I'll be the lucky one, it will surely help me with my studies. I'm currently using my Mother's phone because my cellphone for almost 5 years fell while we were evacuating from the sudden eruption of Mt. Taal (an active volcano here in our country). Stay safe and God bless, Sir☺❤
God bless
Guys honestly, just do yourself a favor, and go get a cs degree. Trust me! If you really want to do this for a living, get the degree. Even if you complete a coding bootcamp and get a job, you will make way less than people who have a cs degree, even if they have no coding background. You will always be second best or second choice. Even better do a coding bootcamp when you are done with your CS degree.
question: why cant people also just learn the same fundamentals they teach without having to spend 4 years in college? I mean its no secret what they are teaching can be found on the internet. Also the second choice or second best idea makes no sense. Even CS grads start from the bottom and have to figure it out. How far you go is dependent on your skills and drive (and whatever office politics there are lol). But I do think its just wrong to completely dismiss something that is pretty new to the industry and just say it wont work out. Also this comment wasnt typed trying to be rude, I appreciate you sharing your opinions so if you would like to share more im all up for it!
Jaco Bosman it’s all about that persons drive. There are some CS majors that I know who can’t hold a candle to some of the people I know who either self-taught or went to a bootcamp. It depends on the person for sure
You should see the look on the guys with thier CS degrees, when I code circles around them. I used to make 9 dollars an hour i used to make about 20 to 30 thousand a year. Maybe you had that experience or not but stop people are all different, I sit currently making close to 100k. No degree just hustling.
It’s just for the most part. It cuts down the hustling. Most companies want people with degrees. At least with some type of knowledge that says I did it. But boot camps are good too. But people prefer a license over your word.
I get that but gotta look at which industry too. Especially in the Bay Area where these companies are started by people who dropped out of college. Yes you may have less attention than someone with a degree but I don’t think it’s much
Searching for the lambda school
If you have insta or Twitter include to your about section. People like would definitely follow you to join the community and maintain consistency in the developer world
Bro, I swear that there is a free bootcamp, You mentioned it ages ago, I used to have use its literally like all in browser
Found it, It was freecodecamp
Seems like the "only pay once you get a job" thing only applies to people in the USA unfortunately 😣
I'm in Lambda also Web24 I agree brother
Im from London, the last review of Lamdba on Switch up is pretty bad, this person is an EU student and mentioned that they dont support EU students to get jobs. Im from London, so thinking about self studying, what do you reccomend bro?
thanks for the videoooooo ❤️
Larry which course did you do and why did you choose that course?
As much as Lambda sounds great, not everyone can just drop everything all at once, you get me?
Brooooooo i remember you used to do pranks with your white ex girlfriend
I just wanted to leave a negative comment to make u feel bad, but then I asked myself, what am i ganing from that? Absolutely nothing. Maybe i wanted to do that because im feeling sorry for myself and because I'm stressed the fuck out because of everything. So I'm just going to try to kill negativity with positivity. So have a good day :)
Do this every single day for yourself. You gain way more from positivity than negatives. And plus it would have been a waste of time I’m too seasoned to UA-cam comments to get my feelings hurt ahah. But have a good day you deserve it
Do you mind if I drop some criticism on ya? I'm gonna be REALLY nit-picky, but honest and direct!
I’m in the iOS13 Cohort, this shit is no joke 😂
Help full video❤
Y'all are so smart I literally don't understand all this coding shit
Fellow lambda school student wassuppp that’s crazy I was 16 when I started watching your prank videos with your ex lol
what is the name of your boot camp, and are classes held online ?
I'm stuck in A situation I cant understand want can i do nd I what could I do so please suggest me what will i do??. I'm btech computer science engineering having little programming knowledge... please
Flatiron school is good too.
It's crazy because I am in a bootcamp now, and I am learning the same skills (full stack web dev) and I'm paying less than 2k for the 5 months of the program....
like i said it all depends on what you could stand to gain from the bootcamp. :)
Where is this bootcamp
Does this boot camp also offer, for front end web development? Like html Css and Js
Yes as said in the video! 😊
I really wish that it was possible for me as Non-US citizen to take it.
That is awesome
Best advices
WOO Lambda!! What cohort you in? Im in WebPT11 :D
i liked your video
People should not be so hateful towards bootcamps
I am starting Lambda Jan 13, any recommendations for what I can do to get a leg up for it?

Still looking for a job?
yes sirrrr!
Comment #8 out of 45. You already KNOW I'm tryna win the MacBook pro bro
Ok. That's insane. Lambda sounds way bomb.
Hope i win the giveaway laptop
I taught myself how to code without paying any money 🤦🏻♂️😬👍🏽🙌🏽😬
Now you just need to find a job. And without a college degree and work experience will just be a pipe dream for you.
alquemir that’s the only reason I’m going to attend just for the degree 🤦♂️ just for the title. But I’m learning thru different apps and YT
jose galarza I have a degree, took a boot camp and I still can’t get a job. Not to mention I have 2 years experience as a software intern. So don’t get you hopes to high it more about who you know.
Emmanuel Fonseca yeah I hear it’s pretty competitive.
@@silversurfer1508 As long as you know Someone you'll get in. Because 6 ppl I know got their first job by knowing someone. Good Luck tho! Hope this helps
So bootcamps are pretty useless 😂😂 guys just go to college and learn it there
Yet your here looking at this video, did you go to bootcamp to waist your time?? Assuming you did so ce saw the title of this video and still watched...no degree no experience but it's good my 80k programming job was a fluke. Lol lop
WTF LIVINGWITHBLACKLARRY
