    I honestly thought ATR would be a bit more innovative when it came to a new aircraft. This is basically a modified ATR-72/42. Not much has changed. Embraer is working on a regional turbo prop with the engines in the rear which will greatly reduce cabin noise plus also allow for lower landing gear. The aviation world needs more than a slight revamp of tired old designs. A push forward is desperately needed.

    • @falco3471
      @falco3471 3 місяці тому

      Why tho? While I see your point, the aviation industry is more about functionality than cool-ness. For ATR with such a mass-produced airframe keeping a similar design makes the aircraft way easier to maintain and handle with existing infrastructure

    Bonjour mes amis. agréable de voir qu'un avion aussi incroyable se réinvente.
    Mais ici dans le nord-est du Brésil à une compagnie régionale qui ternit l'image de l'avion. une compagnie qui s'appelle VoePass, l'air ne marche pas sur les vols, les parties du côté qu'on met contre les vitres donnent l'impression d'être lâches.
    Je connais vos fabricants et je n'ai pas grand-chose à faire. de plus si je n'avais que cette compagnie aérienne je penserais que l'avion est mauvais, mais heureusement j'ai eu l'expérience de voler dans une autre compagnie aérienne qui offrait vraiment un service de qualité.
    Merci beaucoup et continuez votre bon travail.

    How many people have been killed and severely injured in ATR aircraft accidents? Was it 600+ since introduction? The video talks about reducing cost for airlines, efficiency, reduced maintenance but, nothing about increased safety. I will never place a toe on any ATR family aircraft because it may be used to identify my body if I did and I have nasty toes.

    I thoroughly enjoyed my time flying ATR, it's a great aircraft that is unbeatable for short segments. Now I understand the political need to try to apeace the environmental mob, but if you want to sell more aircraft, just tell airlines that by burning less fuel, they can be more profitable. Now that sells. Since it's still early enough in development, I always thought that the design needs landing spoilers, invaluable in a strong crosswind to keep the wings level. We all know that crosswind landings aren't the best feature of ATR aircraft due to the narrow main landing gear. Thanks.
