This is just what so many painters were hoping you would do. Thanks ever so much for sharing your knowledge. Your personality and teaching style are very engaging.
Thank you again Rachel for another fantastic video. I love the way the whole kitty looks and how you incorporated the oranges/reds into her ears to make her jump off the page.
Absolutely loved this video! So glad that I found these! Still learning watercolor, over here. Been dabbling up till now and your instruction is absolutely inspiring. Thank you so much!
I just sent you an email : ) My earlier chipmunk tutorial was at www.patreon.com/posts/60847858 but I have a newer one at www.patreon.com/posts/83975759
Rachel, Thank you so much for this. I have many paintings of cats with "ghost eyes" because I haven't been able to get them right. Hopefully, this tutorial will help.
How do you ”trace” trough thick watercolour paper? And it looked like a drawing, not a photo on your screen, can you please explain this procedure. Love your videos!
Not all aureolins are created the same. Holbein Aureolin is not fugitive and that is the brand I use. It has PY42 mixed into it and does not use the usual "Aureolin" pigment other manufacturers use which is PY40
Thanks Rachel for all cat lovers around the world 🙏😻
THANK YOU! Tracing is not CHEATING. The real work is the painting.. you are absolutely
right!
Agreed!

Jam packed full of tips! How do you remember all this stuff while painting? Do you make notes ahead of time? Thankyou!
I'm with you. Now that I'm a Senior, I just can't remember all "the rules." ha ha
Just years and years of practice.
After some good years of painting its on autopilot xD
love this! is there a list of "staining " paints to avoid?
You can research the paint colors you have online. One of my favorite places is at handprint.com handprint.com/HP/WCL/waterfs.html

I just sent you an email : ) My earlier chipmunk tutorial was at www.patreon.com/posts/60847858 but I have a newer one at www.patreon.com/posts/83975759

How do you ”trace” trough thick watercolour paper? And it looked like a drawing, not a photo on your screen, can you please explain this procedure. Love your videos!
I use 140 lb paper. When I use 300 lb paper I have to use a projector.
Rachel, you know that Aureolin is fugitive, right? It turns brown over time.
Not all aureolins are created the same. Holbein Aureolin is not fugitive and that is the brand I use. It has PY42 mixed into it and does not use the usual "Aureolin" pigment other manufacturers use which is PY40
Don’t let anyone tell you that tracing is cheating........you learn that way ......continually drawing inaccurate lines is detrimental
Preach!
