Alison, Thank You, I am learning so much from your very generous youtube tutorials ….. I’m not sure if you are aware of the range of…. Flat fur watercolour brushes ? ….they come in sets… typical flats of synthetic hair, with the trailing edges becoming separated and very fine…. ..they work beautifully especially for larger areas of fur… or for obtaining a furry edge….. twisting a flat fur brush as you paint helps with fur direction too…. …….
I've never tried those--sounds like a fun experiment!
@@EmilyOlsonArt A set of , Flat fur brushes , are well worth the modest investment , if painting fur on a fairly regular basis….great for tiny whiskery edges too….I am certain that yiu will have them in the USA ?

Great tutorial. I'm looking for a tutorial on how to paint an elderly dog who has dark fur with white hairs on his face. Can you help with that? I've tried but it never comes out looking right.

I am trying to find these paints.
Daniel Smithare expensive - 5ml tubes are only $1 less than their 15ml tubes and I can't find these colors in a set.
Holbein I can get a set for less than I would pay for 3 tubes of Daniel Smith.
Will the Holbein Burnt Sienna work?
Holbein is one of my favorite brands! I haven’t tried the Burnt Sienna, but I’m guessing it will work. I know it seems like a big investment up front, but these tubes will literally last years, so it’s definitely worth it to get the colors you really want!

I just cannot do long or curly hair. I've been trying to do a painting of a friend's dog but I just cannot do her hair. I feel like every time I try I'm ruining it.
