As someone who drove several land cruisers thru deep mud rocky places can tell you this is an absurd situation for a vehicle and not the car’s fault
Seems weekend warriors forget to let about half the air out of the tires so they'd get a great grip on hard rock.
Tires are too hard to grip onto the rocks and stay "grounded". I notice not many people give that suggestion.

i have land cruiser hdj80 in europe, for now a 1993 with locking axle's with chassis and body for 2000€. manuel gears, no engine, no gearbox. also other land cruisers, 70 serie and 100 series. almost all the time i do 6 cilinder diesels.
They should have winched him out so much sooner, he could have also winched his way up that 2nd line he tried.

Could have used his own winch before all the damage to stabilise the car. And get a poper bull bar with scrub bars, those little metal bumper bars are useless. Glorified winch and light mount.
