Atlantic Salmon or Great Lakes Salmon contains less toxins than Pacific Salmon (i.e. Fukushima). Whiting fish is a smaller cousin to the cod with a similar taste and has less toxins because of their shorter life cycle. Eggs, eggs, eggs...

Man my heart jumped when I got this notification of a new video. John was such a helpful and inspirational guy. His means and methods were easy to follow and worked well. God bless his family and friends.
I stopped training about 4 years ago, and restarted a few months ago. The first thing was to resubscribe to old gym youtube channels, and the mountain dog was one of them. Not training for so long, was shocked to hear he had passed away. Really upsetting. However john was always postive, so once again i will train hard, with johns videos as instruction and inspiration. We need more positivity in the comments section guys, in memory of john

Thank u for posting and reposting his videos. It really puts a smile on me when I see it on my feed. I owe my results to John Meadows. His nutrition and training strategies were seriously ahead of its time. Thank u John Meadows. U were a GIANT in the fitness industry.
For hypertrophy (bodybuilding) do 1 set until faliure 1-2 exercises per muscle group. Example: chest - chestpress (machine/smith machine /free weights, up to you) and then do a smaller muscle group lice biceps or triceps (dumbell curl) as a beginner only do one set to faliure, heavy enough to do only 10 reps max. If you go past further then its fine. But not too much. As long as you go to faliure or close to faliure. Dont do several big muscle groups in one day as it will destroy you central nervous system over time.
Also remeber to do 2-3-4 sets of warm up before going into the “working set” as you want your muscle to be prepared (not exhausted) for the final set to faliure. Warm up slowly increases the weight. Slow pace on the eccentric and concentric phase of the movement.
here in Brazil we basically use eggs and chicken, we are the biggest producers of red meat in the world but the meat here is very expensive. Salmon is even more expensive. Chestnuts too, these foods are for the rich.
Soybeans are the only beans with a complete amino acid profile, so they are the best beans. Not sure why he didn’t mention tuna. Maybe because it’s not an every day food, because of possible mercury.
Soybean are notorious for estrogen. I don't know how correct it is but you can go for kidney beans or lentils from time to time. Don't worry about "whole protein" too much, unless you are eating the beans on their own without other food, you'll be covered.
@@kristijan8518 This is based on misinformation. The estrogen of soybeans is a "phytoestrogen", which is different in form and function within our metabolism. Apart from that, there are no studies which point towards a detrimental effect of this molecule on our health or muscle development. In other words, it is not correct.
Any decent alternative for vegans? Just asking the community here because all I could think of is having pounds of tofu and nuts and mushrooms just to get the same amount of protein meat does. Hope to find some videos like John's.
Beans, peas, and legumes are high in protein. Some vegetables (like broccoli) are relatively high in protein as well. I also recommend getting to know how to cook with seitan (N.B. given that you are not allergic to gluten). Great product which can be véry meat-like in taste and texture when prepared well, and extremely high in protein; 75 grams protein per 100 grams seitan! One of the greatest products on this planet. The options with taste and texture are practically endless. Personally I combine a lot of various high protein plant-based (eg. legumes, broccoli, nuts/seeds, seitan, etc.), and eat enough to fuel my muscle growth. It helps to introduce a vegan protein powder (based on peas combined with a different source of protein) as well. Just to make it easy.
Depends where you live. If you have villages and farms nearby you can get your meat from family businesss. You can also buy whole chicken or half/quarter cow then freeze it
Unfortunately our oceans are bigtime polluted with heavy metals. To the extent that a lot of sports scientists that work with pro sports people and Olympians tell athletes to steer well clear of sea fish/seafood. After cutting out seafood from athletes diets very, very noticeable improvements are noticed (heavy metals like Mercury are present in increasingly high levels especially in Tuna and Salmon) Those heavy metals cause brain damage and neurological and nerve damage, not good when youre trying to build muscle or get stronger (or both!) So id steer well clear of anything from our gross seas, plus the damage that the commercial fishing industry does to the ocean floors (trawlers) and the crap that they dump in the sea. Those miles and miles in diameter floating plastic trash islands are almost exclusively made by the nets, buoys and floats of commercial fishermen. It is our oceans that are the Earths true lungs and commercial fishing is literally KILLING the Earth, the less seafood we eat the better!
I dont understand why ALL US beef isnt grass fed? All UK/European beef is grass fed and with the US having a huge amount of grazing land i dont get why the US doesnt do the same. Plus we dont shoot the cattle full of hormones and crap either!
I'm in the UK and not all our beef is grass fed, it's harder to find as big supermarkets have taken over and the little independent shops have largely disappeared
So hard to lose a parent at that age. I hope the kid knows how many people his dad helped and inspired.

He's a young adult now. And started lifting. I hope we would see more of him and carrying on his dad's legacy

What workout routine should I do? I don't know how many sets and exercises per day I need

Start with 3 days per week, 3-6 sets per muscle. And experiment as you go
@@ajharmiah2692man if he's just starting he'll likely struggle with the lowest weights, no need to warmup for 20 lbs pulldown

You can probably find a fish that's cheap there. I'm from balkan and frozen mackerel and hake are 3$ per kg. Trout is 5-6$

What about tuna?

Soybeans are the only beans with a complete amino acid profile, so they are the best beans. Not sure why he didn’t mention tuna. Maybe because it’s not an every day food, because of possible mercury.
