Taylor’s playing in this performance sums up his legacy for me much more than most Foo footage out there. Truly one of a kind. RIP
Try that : ua-cam.com/video/npzjohyKehU/v-deo.html
I think the same
Could not agree more. Well said.
❤
Totally agree. ❤
God damn it! I want the 90's back right now!
No F'n doubt about THAT!! Even just to see this show!!
alanis and taylor = god tier
RIP Taylor, this is my favourite Hawkins era…pushing the band forward at all times, nice slingerland kit as well 🤙
i am completely with you on the era subject
I feel exactly the same!!!!!
Damn great era for Hawkins, but man where would foo fighters be if it wasnt for him?
What a beautiful song Man People take her for granted What an absolute icon for the 90s Back when you needed talent to become a famous female singer
That's the truth if I ever heard it!!
The 90s were the best decade in music, I don't care what anyone says, if you look into the rich tapestry of divergence that existed, even within the same genre, there's just no comparison today, I feel standards have lowered, it seems as if an artist like Taylor Swift can release anything and it becomes a hit, used to be
Too true!!
The backing vocals at the chorus, i cannot stress enough how amazing they sound. I thought they were special when I was 10 yaears old and 27 years later, I was right.
I saw Alanis Morissette with my daughter Keri who was 12 years old in 1996 at the Philadelphia Spectrum. Amazing show and a great memory with my daughter...
I wish my parents did this for me, I was 11 at the time and I loved her
That energy! Wow!!! 🥰💔😭 We'll miss you Taylor.
wow that was powerful!
absolutely,she rocks
Still one of the greatest performers ever. The second half of this video, which was how she always ended her shows back in the day, is so awesome it cannot be adequately expressed in words. Oh, BTW - RIP Taylor😪.
RIP Taylor Hawkins. Been a fan of your work way before your Foo Fighter stay. Such as this one.
I fuckin love how goofy Alanis is, there's something so heart-warming about it, I love her.
Taylor was amazing on this, it still hurts to see/hear him play.
One of the greatest Rock songs in Rock history. With a simple but profound message!!
Rest in a good place Taylor. Thanks for your drumming enthusiasm buddy.🙂
Just came over here from Shoresy season 4 episode 2. Sublime performance. 💯
So great to see Taylor bringing it with full power, passion and mastery of his gift. Thanks for showing us how it's done. RIP Master Taylor........ your earthly presence is so missed.......
Taylor Hawkins was one of few in the century. Astounding talent and musicianship. Kept a great band (here and everywhere else Foo etc) on point as a driving force.
It is an all-time favorite live female performance I've ever seen unbelievably unforgettable, Taylor was mindblowing he added so much power with the music.👍👍👍
This is why I love the 90s 😭
I miss the 90's so much....

i beg your pardon Miss Alanis, YOU ARE FUCKING AWESOME! your songs, music, stories hit me like no tomorrow. I love you for being so kind as to bring your life words into mine via songs. I almost cry eveytime i here your music. I literally did cry back in the day and promises, i promise to cry again when your beautiful CONCERT is rescheduled for next year. I am saving my pennies to attend and promise, your joy, your love, your life, your words will forever be held dear to my heart. i can imagine this sounds weird as i don't know you but your music touched my soul and i wanted to say thank you. your soul is deep and touched mine. thank you! God bless you for real. not many touch the reality of life, not many. you did! thank you.
@@riverlife5803 Wow you're a very lucky girl to have connected with Alanis on such an intimate, spiritual, almost cosmic level. I particularly love her perspective/her philosophy of life whether via lyrics or even via interviews. Her drive, her intensity, her passion, her energy and her fearlessness put her RIGHT OFF THE CHARTS -- literally in a category all by herself. Add in her talent, her intelligence, her honesty, her insight and her "willingness to share all that she IS" with others and she becomes a once-in-a-lifetime artist IMHO. That she hasn't ended up in a long-term psychiatric facility is nothing short of miraculous though her recent material (Reasons I Drink, Smile, Diagnosis) suggests that life has indeed taken its toll on this almost-supernatural human.
Beautiful and amazingly talented 👏🏻👌🏻🎤 🌟 ❤️ X
Taylor RiP, e Dave monstro na guitarra e ela Linda que voz , que mulher que banda
Better performance😍😍❤❤Alanis i love you so much
Queen Alanis
Amoooooooo ❤
Alanis, Muy Rockera!!!
They JUST DON'T MAKE MUSIC LIKE THIS ANYMORE. ALANIS & TAYLOR HAWKINS WERE THE EMBODIMENT OF MY YOUTH. I LOVED ALANIS TO DEATH. HAD A HUGE CRUSH ON HER. AND THAT LASTED EVEN AFTER THE JAGGED LITTLE PILL DAYS. SUPPOSED FORMER INFATUATION JUNKIE IS HIGHLY UNDERRATED!!!!!

I was a year old in 1996 😀
sorry! You lost the best! 🤣
Imposible no amarla...
RIP Taylor Hawkins
Biutiful
Back when Hawkins still drummed with a strong Stewart Copeland influence. He watered it down for the Foos I'm sorry to say. RIP.
you can't see women with guts like this anymore.
2021

The most democratic and free age of human history: 90's!

Pronto!!!!
R.I.P. to Taylor.
Who looked this up after Taylor Hawkins passing?☹️
I love his left hand.... bestial movements
el grunge en su punto época
Taylor looks like he's having a good time. It surprises me when I've heard he didn't want to play with Alanis. Or was it later on that he was just ready to move on?
jesus christ , fuckin taylor killed it, RIP
O público tá numa empolgação!!! 🤭🤭
Rip Dude.. Hawkins
Can anyone tell me the name of the red, oddly shaped thing that Taylor Hawkins is hitting at the beginning of this song? I've seen them used by other bands, but I do not know what they are called. Thank You in advance!
It's the plastic equivalent of a wood block made by LP Percussion called a Jam Block, I have one myself. The hard plastic is a lot more durable than the wooden ones but they sound pretty much alike.
@Todd Lawrance Thank you VERY much, Good Sir!! I have been wondering about that for a while!! Peace!!
O final da musica parece a banda Charlie Brown Jr
Tava bem louca ela 😂😂
Who's the guitarist???
... and the other 2 guitarists are Nick Lashley on lead guitar (far right) and blonde-haired Chris Cheney on bass (in the middle)
Where been you are hhj
The 90s. The last decade of great music. The decade where snowflake millennials were not around to ruin music and everything else. Such a great time to be young and without snowflake millennials.
exactly
Totally agree!!
There’s still good music out there. You just have to search harder for it
@@matthewgrigg576 key words “SEARCH HARDER FOR IT”. Back then good music was everywhere you didn’t need to search for it. Snowflake millennials ruined music and life all together.
@@flukyreview9128 Plenty of good bands out there. Hiss golden messenger, the war on drugs, Joe bonamassa. the list goes on. You clearly know nothing about good music
Some might find Alanis weird because of the strange movement she creates while singing on stage but i guess that's how she projects herself.
I guess she's also getting energy from the music and letting them express themselves.
Just wondering how long it would take to comb her hair out after dancing around like that. So tell me I want to learn just joking.
Anyone know wich snaredrum Taylor has here exact?
Pretty sure it's a Slingerland Studio King chrome over brass snare that it tuned high. Taylor was known for loving brass snares, just like my self. Brass has a very nice pitch and crack that is hard to find in other types of snares. But it's also a lot about the tuning and heads. Brass snares are very responsive with really fast attack and in the end if you like brass snare go with the one you like. If you want to get the same sound as Taylor you can get it with a Ludwig, Tama, Pearl or Slingerland brass snare, it's just about how much money you like to spend on it. I use a Pearl Free Floating brass snare that is affordable, it sound amazing and to play it is a dream. I can tune it low, mid or high and it sounds amazing in any tune.
@@Musiknird Thanks!!!! Yes i had a suspicion it was in the line of Ludwig LM400. But thanks for the specifics, i have a Tama Artstar Brass and a Pearl Cob, it's indeed made to be cranked tight and sounds beautiful! the pearl free floating is amazing!!! One of the more stable horses from Pearl
@@JJ-vg9du oh Tama Artstar is and sounds amazing! Absolutely stunning snare and sound. Tama do some great stuff and I own a Tama Starclassic Maple. It's a dream to play and sounds fantastic. I even think it sounds better than DW. Have you tried or listen to The Kenny Aronoff brass snare? It's both beautiful and sounds amassing! Same with Tama Star Reserve hand hammered brass snare such treat for the eyes and ears. I also have a Premier Signia Maple which I use my Pearl Free Floating brass snare to. Premier Signia was premiers flagship and mine is made in the late 90's and it's such beautiful British craftsmanship in that kit and it sound incredible! Many still today thinks its the best sounding kit made, even better than Ludwig. I know this is like swearing in the church, but I'm just not a Ludwig girl. I've played them and they are beautiful, but not my cup of tea or sound. Lol!
@@Musiknird Have a Starclassic maple snare, nothing wrong with that serie. I know of the Kenny A snare, but his best recordings are with a ludwig Lm400 snare! The pearl free floating brass is a beauty!!! Premia signia, keep that one close it's a rare gem and sadly Premier is back with the taiwan label so it won't come back in the old forms.. Well i guess each there own, my favorite drums are Pearl
@@JJ-vg9du The LM400 snares are really nice and sounds amazing. Supraphonic is a legend of it's own and Ludwig snares are great, it's the old kits I can find a bit overrated. Sure most of the old rock stars played them so they have contributed to today's music, but still would not be my first choice. The Premier kit I have has a 24" bass drum, 13 tom, 16 and 18 floor toms almost like Bonham, accept the 13 tom. But let me tell you it's one phat kit that you truly hear. Pearl have some absolutely stunning kits that sounds amazing and are well made. You usually get bang for the bucks with pearl. I have to confess that I'm thinking of buying a Ludwig backbeats just to have at home and practise on. It's easy to set up and just start playing.
With apologies to the English this should have been filmed in Argentina.
