- This video is a step by step tutorial on how to grow a sawtooth oak tree from seed. This oak tree is beautiful, have an almost orangish colored bark with a very nice design and chestnut like leaves. The fall time color of the tree is a pretty yellow and the acorn drop is very abundant and rather quickly.
I LOVE your I AM SECOND bracelet, and your great videos! Please make more!!
Can you please do an update on all the trees you've grown? It'd be really interesting to see the progress they've made!
I collected Sawtooth and Bur Oak acorns today, about to put them in peatmoss and the fridge. Hopefully I can plant in pots at Thanksgiving.
Start making videos again we want results!!! Thank you and cheers!
Just found the channel and subscribed, looking forward to more videos
What do you do with all those saplings? Do you go to rural areas and plant them there, do you give them away to people who live nearby, or do you do something else?
Just found your channel and sad to see you haven’t posted in a while! My daughter and I love learning from your videos!

That’s great to hear! We have our magnolia seeds stratifying in the fridge now!
We are in Tennessee as well!
I have some Sawtooth Acorns in the frig now.
What kind of potting soil or dirt are you using for such good growth so fast???
Are you going to be transplanting your saplings this fall?
would it be possible for you to do a how to grow for an apple tree?
Apples are fairly easy, I think. Get a fresh apple. Not one that's been frozen for transport. Harvest the seeds from the core and let them sit maybe over night. Soak the seeds in water for maybe a couple of hours. Plant in some rich planting soil, find a sunny spot, and keep the soil moist in the sun. They should start growing within 2 weeks. Essentially, the same thing you'd do for any other fruit or vegetable. Oak trees for some reason, I tend to lose like 80% of what I start with. Either they rot during stratification, or they rot after I plant them, they dry out and die. It seems like very few actually grow. But good luck with the apples. You may just have try and fail. It's not like you have to wait a whole year to try again. 😊
You could put the seeds in a damp papertowel in a plastic bag on a sunny windowsill too. They'll germinate faster that way.
Dude grow sweet gum black gum birch basswood red bud tulip popple pin oak and more
Have you ever accidentally broken the main stem coming out the the sprouting acorn? I just did that and I'm not sure if the roots will grow another stem, the root system is intact
Its done sadly :(
Could you do a video on how to grow a bald cypress from seed
Put the seeds in a Ziploc bag with potting soil and make sure it's damp but not soaking wet. The seed needs to stay moist in the fridge over the winter. Then in spring plant your seeds in a pot just like shown above. Also, I'm not sure what browses on the seedlings but either rabbits or deer will browse the seedlings and they will not recover from it so be sure to protect them.
I got some Sawtooth Acorns in the frig right now.
Please
thanks! But I wish you would do your sound better and talk SLOWER
