Apparently the House of Blackheads in Riga was originally built in the 14th cemtury as a house for wealthy merchants to socialize in as well as being a place for different ceremonies for the elite such as kings, queens and presidents as well as balls and concerts. Today it’s a museum with exhibitions about the history of Riga and the Brotherhood of Blackheads (a group of ship owners and merchants who built the house in the first place, back in the 14th century). I’ve taken all of this from Wikipedia so some things might be inacurate but that’s the best i can do because i’m not Latvian and i knew as little about it as you did before googling it.
@@saint.alexanderyaroslavich4662 nice👌 I know i shouldn’t ask you where you live because thats none of my business but i’m too curious to not ask so....where? (Roughly speaking) Gothenburg, Stockholm, Malmö?

Answering Your two questions: House of Blackheads was a medieval merchant guild. And secondly about tower in Gaiziņkalns, it was more like a joke from video maker. It's not true.
