i was there on the other side. when they came out doing military marching me and my buddy, we were in band, didnt know what to think cuz they never do that and then ridin' dirty came on. it was badass
OMG! THE MOST MEMORABLE halftime show I've EVER seen during my time at UH!!! LOVED IT!!! the crowd's reaction to ridin' dirty "cutting off" the band and then the surprise dance number was PRICELESS!!!
we (TSU) did the same thing with them for the Super Bowl 38 halftimeshow. its was alot of fun, the UH people are very open minded and glad to get to work with other bands. i dont think that UH changed their style for anyone, like someone said, its just entertainment.
I remember this!!!! Everybody was leaving the stands when UH came on the field and then came racing back because there was a change of plans. This was so priceless!!!! LOL
it was a joint drumline. grambling and UH was playing together, not to mention they were playing a grambling cadence that UH had never even played before, of course it's gonna be dirty. and no, college marching band isnt about playing clean, it's about entertaining the crowd. cleaning second.
It's great to hear such an informed and intellectual opinion. I mean you should be like working for a major entertainment company. You're the king of talent scouts. lol
One of the best showbands around . I have admired them for years .
You guys are absolutely awesome then! I give you guys props...gotta love UH!!!

Those are two really good bands. Spirit of Houston is a great band. They don't get enough love from the Cougar faithful.
haha, YES! i was there! on the snareline @ UofH! Man that was so much fun to put together.
I hope you enjoyed the show...thank you for taking time to watch

This needs to happen more often among HBCUs. I wonder was there percussion battle (or musical exchange for those not of the kill kill kill mindset).
TSquared2001 gsu does joint shows with any PWS band gives them a chance to do the show style too

best thing is to see the grambling st. band flip out when you start to dance. go coogs!

haha..sweet...i was there....i got it on video but havent had the time to upload it
Grambling will be back at the U of H at the opening of their new stadium in '14
they taught us the break down...
did the grambling state band know about the "ridin" thing? Coz I'm sure they know about the joining together thing in the end? go coogs!
Mokeys? What do you mean by that?
See, this is why people hate GSU. It is not entirely their fault. I mean, they learned the breakdown. You just don't do that.
