    Yes another great video, it’s great how you & Papa Tebbz talk, work & plan things out, both becoming ambassadors to the sport and getting more spectators involved via these videos and of course being a great driver. You both deserve every racing title wins you enter.

    On my fwd I've raced always run 1/4 inch toe out and it helps with the Ackerman effect which aloud the inside wheel to turn more which also create more inside drag aiding to turn right more efficiently..... But more toe you run in or out create drag which isn't what you want down the straights. That's what I've learned and picked up on over the years.

    • @fredtebbz
      @fredtebbz 4 місяці тому +1

      Sounds about right to me, toe in is definitely less stable in the corner so toe out is the way to go but not too much.
      What your saying about the drag makes a lot for sense, it would probably help push the back end round as you go in to the corner

    I'm not sure what your rules are on suspension geometry but when you scale the car, turn to full lock as per cornering to see if and how much weight jacking your getting as all your set up requirements are for corner entry mid corner and exit speed.
    Scaling the car with wheels straight is OK but if your caster, camber,Ackerman changes are altering your cross, side weight when cornering then you will be chasing your tails constantly.
    Love the vlogs

      We scale it straight to get a starting point that we normally start with. At the track we dial it in using spacers. Then when it’s right you hardly have to steer. It turns as you brake and rotates as you throttle out of the corner.
      It’s an interesting subject and thanks for your input 👍

    in the junior bangers I run a slight toe out as it can give the front right a little more angle going in.

    Both my uncle (stock rods) and my dad (saloon stock cars) tried all ways and found tow out was best for effort on steering, and handled best, neutral and toe in just made them really hard to throw in to the bends and hard to steer

    Toe out,of course, about 5mm.
    You get more Ackerman effect and
    the car is easier to steer it to the corner🙂
    Also more caster effect allot on steering inputs.

      You can also try more caster, gives more stability on the straights, but very heavy to steer 💪 like a go-kart(if that makes sense)

    On the Superstox, inside front had a bit of tow out to help initial turn in, it isn't much - couple of degree's - in the wet it was a little more to help stop push - FWD might have different settings??

      @@fredtebbz I see, had it in my mind that FWD toe in slightly, as both front wheels pulling together straighten out? Anyhooo, keep pedalling lads, reminds me hugely of when my dad and I in the garage on the Super every night it seemed for over 13 years, if I added all my years racing - 1984 to 2024 - Karting - 1300 Stox - Superstox - Karting - RC Racing (now I am old!)
