Yours is a small fridge. :) Lately I was looking for more organization ideas and... I'm still amazed at what people can call "a small fridge". :)))))) I don't think I'll get over the initial shock... soon . :))))))) It's not that easy to find many uploads about fridges that are actually small. :) Love the video and the products used and how you used them and I completelly understand having "leftover produce", that does not fit. :) You made me plan for a big box, just like yours (but... to fit our fridge), since we still have some corners with products that we never touch because they end up being out of reach - and they are mostly jars. :) Also, since we plan to move in about 1 year and at some point I'll need to buy more than one appliance, I was considering getting "the small ones", then - that was the plan - but your comment made me change my mind and I'm planning to start saving for a bigger one (still "slim", but taller - I'm sure you know them :) ). :) It was, also, useful, the fact that you have-store "normal food", like... not 3 types of cream cheeses and 4 of sodas and 2 of sweets and things like that. :) Great video! :) Thank you! :)

Hey thanks for the nice comment! I also noticed that most people have rather large fridges in their small fridge videos haha! It can be quite hard to work with a fridge this small, but somehow We have to manage. Haha.
But I will definitely buy a size larger the next time to avoid some of the hassle this little thing brings.

Great video. a little tip: potatoes and onions are best kept outside fridge and last longer. Also tomatoes. But, never store a potato next to onion, the potato will go bad sooner. I have a mini fridge, and learned a lot. Carrots, Cellery, cut and put in jars or containers of water. hang bananas from the cola lips or door racks. Parsely /asparagus can be put in water in a cup. A lot of tricks. It is hard to shop for one and a mini when it comes to produce! haha.

Also if you are in Europe (f.eks Norge) the eggs shouldn’t need to be in the fridge… but if you have little counter/cupboard space then I understand.

Storage containers take up precious space in a mini fridge. Investing in a food sealer makes more room and freshness of food lasts a week longer. I cut up my veggies and fruit before placing in a sealer bag. I precut my hashbrowns and place in a sealer bag to put in the freezer. They are great and allow me to plan multiple meals without having to run to the grocery store every other day.

Great tip! Thanks :) I have experimented with it in the past, but it always seem to be a hassle to work with compared to containers. The biggest challenge with the mini fridge is certainly shopping day for me too. I try to balance the amount of room temp, chilled, and frozen food I buy so I don't overfill the fridge (every time).

That's true and we also have a vacuum sealer that we really love... also for the freezer (for longer storage), but... when it comes to the things we keep in the fridge... at least for me... if I shop to save a little bit of money and then I spend it on one-time use storage solutions... I think it turns out to be more expensive - and it takes longer - than just letting some of the food go to waste by not being easily seen and/or accessed. :)

Thanks! It was a lot of fun to reorganize it. It can surely be challenging after shopping for the week! I'd love to hear if you have any tips I don't know

@@Organizing-TV If you ever have some letfover chocolate or gummy-bears (we're really not into sweets), you can just tape it to the inside of the door :D (duct tape works well and many times it even gets re-used). If you buy a bunch of small yogurt cups (here - Romania, Europe :D :))))))) - they are cheaper than the bigger ones) and you're going to eat them in the next few days, it saves a lot of space if you move the yougurt to (a) glass jar(s). Things like ketchup might be moved in cleaned plastic square-shaped 0,5 l water bottles and stacked in the back with their label either rolled around them (small "office tape" will do), either with it re-attached to them, leaving space on the door for other things. When in "big need", you can use cardboard - and, sometimes, tape too - to make some temporary storage for veggies on the door. Paper binders - or even clothespins - can be used to secure some small bags on the underside of the shelves. Since some things spoil faster if kept just "put in the fridge", reusable freezer bags and freezer bags clips are great for sorting them in the containers and, also, for keeping them fresh for longer (like... most things that grow in the ground). We buy the cheapest UHT milk we can find as it only needs to go in the fridge after it is opened (and can make yogurt and "cottage cheese", if lacking from the pantry, pretty easily and fast). Big and almost empty jars can have their contents moved to a small container, before shopping-day. If you're going to have two small jars, of aprox. the same size, for a long time, you can "duct-tape" one over the other and save some space on the door. Small elastic ties that have a hook at each end (like... for bicycles racks) attached to the wire racks (with... "the magic duct tape" :D :)))) ) can hold some things upright and to the side (like... oranges or potatoes), when in need, temporarily. And... that's all that comes to my mind now. :) Good luck and thank you! :)

There are many things in your fridge that don't need to be refrigerated like potatoes and sweet potatoes. If you look up a list of veggies and condiments that don't need refrigeration, it my give you a bit more room!
