Love watching All Blacks play and as an Irishman I simply adore watching Ireland. Supporters on both sides get on my bloody nerves however with their moaning and screeching about this, that and the other. I always prefer to listen to what the players have to say and it's mostly that the AB's love playing Ireland and vice versa - you never hear Barrett calling Ireland a dirty team or calling for Sextons head (as herein) or the Irish disrespecting the AB's.....so some of the supporters here could take a leaf from their respective teams. Ireland and the AB's - the two best reams in the world at present and I would give anything to see them both in the forthcoming RWC final.
1:35 - getting really pissed off with this growing trend of players demanding TV replays. In this case I'd have been delighted, as it would quite clearly show Sexton committing a head-high tackle and he'd have been hoisted by his own petard.
vonteflon 😂 why are you so worked up about it? Was a perfectly legal choke tackle and I think it’s probably fair to say had it been your team in a position like that you wouldn’t be too pissed off with them asking for a check...
John Smyth SILENCE, MORTAL! HOW DARE THOU SLANDER THE GREAT LORD BEAUDEN'S NAME WITH THY POPPYCOCK RUBBISH TALK OF THIS O'DRISCOLL CHARACTER! THERE SHALL BE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE BEAUDEN.
Can someone explain to me how Trimble wasn't binned for an intentional knock on? I don't think he had 2 arms out, and he had absolutely no intention to tackle Barrett.
I guess they thought he made an attempt to gather it after the initial knock-on, so ref viewed it as a failed interception rather than an intentional knock-on
He was making an attempt at an intercept which you are allowed to do. Typically, the player will only be binned if the action of the arms is down, meaning there is no attempt at a catch. In the footage you can see his arms facing up in the motion of trying to catch the ball, so it’s only a penalty because there is no intent to knock it on.
@@LureThosePixels Yup but there's more to a midfielder than finishing try opportunities. They should know when to run and when to pass. Fekitoa has for a long time proved that he has tryline fever, and is too greedy for the sake of the team. He makes terrible decisions that have cost his teams many opportunities. Makes me think of Tevita Li who is incredibly talented but almost never passes. He looks good when his other teammates shine as they create lots of tries for him to score, but against better defences these players go missing.
I imagine Steve Hansen must have reproached the team sternly after their loss two weeks earlier for them to put on a defensive performance that kept the Irish try-less in this game.
"What an impact he's had on this game" said the commentator.................NO, he was not talking about a NZ player, he said that about an ireland player when the score was 9 - 21 in favor of NZ.
Well surely the player of the match had some impact on the game he seem to be everywhere saving tries, making crucial tackles, chip over the defence & scoring tries. whoever that Ireland player was Beauden Barrett was acknowledged Player of the match.A class act that boy twice voted RWC Player of the year.
Zac Casey if he did that intentionally it definitely would've been red no question. For some reason Jaco Peyper took intention into the decision making. If it was me as ref I'd give Fekitoa a red. I'd easily give Sexton yellow as well. I might have given a yellow card for that shoulder charge by Dane Coles to an Irish player as well. Unfortunately I'm only a player and not a ref lol
Yeah it was a pretty marginal call. If only they could measure Sexton's forearm compared to the ball they could actually judge wether it was a try or not lol. It was just too hard to tell if that was a try or not. The try was probably awarded because of Sexton's high tackle. That would probably be more punishment than a yellow card in all honesty.
The high shot on Barrett as he scored was a disgrace . Sexton should have been red carded,. Funny how the Irish commentators never mentioned it. The Irish reaction to the Sam Cane incident was utterly ridiculous. Utter hypocrisy.
yeah I thought it was disgusting that he didn't get a card and incredibly ironic it was barely mentioned afterward- if it was the other way round we would never hear the end of it.
April-Tui Buckley I used to be a fan of Ireland but after the way their media reacted after this NZ win........and the hypocrisy over this incident I really want the All Blacks to thrash them in November. The Wallabies complained about Irish neck rolls in the recent series. Funny once again we’ve heard nothing from the Irish media. Over the years Heaslip and Healy have both committed acts of thuggery. Ireland are just as dirty as any other team.
I think so, but they get away with it in other sports because Ireland are usually the underdogs. They call everything from the perspective of an Ireland fan and don't really commentate on the good plays from the opposition, which kind of makes sense if you're hopelessly outclassed but they do the same thing in games where we're favorites or it's a close game. I like to watch broadcasts that appreciate good rugby from any of the teams and analyze the game. Australians are also bad.
Now don't go spoil it now you know what the All Blacks did to you guys last time you were ranked number 1 at the last RWC being cocky is like falling from a greater height if you lose. Because you bragged you could beat anybody anytime. That's like putting a target on your forehead.
Don't know... it might not have touched. They might have had benefit of the doubt due to the illegal tackle made. The Irish player should have been red carded.
Barrett was laughing in Sexton's face 15m out from the try line, he deserved a slap around the jowls ;P Also 3.19 - 3.21 both New Zealand's offloads were forward and they weren't even checked.

Barely unbiased, you can tell in their tone they're hating every minute
