If your trying to make a pseudo the best way is to make it like the garchomp line zero to hero Mon the first stage is super weak it has to evolve At least late 20s to mid 30s then the middle stage has to have atleast above 390 base stat and at maximum 410 to not outshine the rest of your mons and starter but is still noticeable strong then the final stage atleast evolve late 40s to early 50s to fulfill the zero to hero journey
Since Flygon was born with balanced stats around the board, I would keep it that way: - Dragon/Bug - 110 HP 110 Atk 80 Def 100 Sp.Atk 98 Sp.Def 102 Speed - Abilities: Levitate, Tinted Lens, Desert Spirit (ETB Sandstorm and is considered Rock type for the benefits of all weathers) - - Now it has the potential for being a specially bulky Quiver or Dragon Dancer, and has that 102 Speed that outspeeds the 100 mark and makes it on pair with Garchomp, who's kinda his memetic rival. A lot of the people in the comments are scared of the 120 Attack/130 Speed DD potential, but I think the weakness to hazards (going from taking the second to lowest amount of possible damage from hazards to taking the second to highest amount due to effectively losing Levitate - pretty much no one is running Levitate over Desert Control - and its Rock resistance turning into a Rock weakness) plus the lack of priority/priority protection reigns it in a lot more than people seem to give credit for. In modern Singles, things like Roaring Moon - boasting 139 base Attack and 119 base Speed that can be further boosted with almost no strings attached by Booster Energy and having access to Dragon Dance _and_ having access to 110 bp STAB Acrobatics with Tera Flying - can sit in mid-A tier OU due to having no priority moves or hazard resistance and a reliance on Tera due to its natural STAB options being on the weaker side. And Dragapult, who has a much higher Speed stat and better Dragon STAB, clocks up to low-S tier even with a massive 12 point lead in base Speed over this Flygon and being neutral to Rocks instead of weak to them. As for Baxcalibur, it was banned due to having a sizeable amount more natural bulk and a _way_ higher Attack, which when combined with its super hard hitting STAB options and the Hail buff increasing its Defense even more on Aurora Veil teams allowed it to survive a ludicrus amount of punishment and deal insane damage after just one or two turns (plus Ice Shard). If this Flygon had access to a 120 bp STAB Dragon type move that isn't a "lose to incoming Fairy-type" button and access to any standard form of priority damage, then maybe these changes would be overkill. But with its next best option being either a 1/3rd damage drop off from Outrage (essentially having a Choice Band pre-Knocked Off before the match) or a 75% accurate, 100 bp move, and it's best priority move being mutually exclusive with DD, I think it would fit fine in OU and would share mid-A tier with Roaring Moon or scoot on over into high-A tier due to providing sand support to... something. Maybe it brings Excadrill back to OU?
OR Desert Control can be a Sand Stream + Sand Force mix, boosting Ground, Rock, and Steel type attacks by 1.3x in exchange for the boost wearing off when the sandstorm ends. I personally think a flat 1.5x boost is manageable, but having it be two pre-existing abilities in one is a lot more believable of a custom ability since Game Freak has been doing those since Gen 7.
@@christiancinnabars1402 I really enjoyed that read and breakdown from you! I have a very similar perspective; Stealth Rock hinders this pokemon alot in terms of competitive play, so the buffs that may seem overpowered are actually in balance with power creep for Gen 9 OU and smogon. level 65 is insane, what makes flygon a better choice to run on a team over metagross or salamance is the fact he is easy to get and evolves in a point where he can actually be of some use, making it evolve at 65 will kill any reason to even catch its pre evo, somewhere between level 50 or 55 would be the sweet point for it to evolve
Level 65 is wild. That would be the highest level evolution ever and extremely unnecessary. Hgiher than hydreigons ridiculous 64 and theres plenty of pseudos that evolve at 45. Metagross and Kommoo. If you said 50 maybe. But 30 levels away from when it turned into vibrava is madness
Yeah bug ground is better as a typing because if flygon becomes bug dragon then it can't even hit fairy types for neutral because fairy resists bug and is immune to dragon
@@NobodyDungeons in a sense, yes! his ability gives him 10% damage to rock and ground moves so its a nice lil nod to the fact that he used to be a ground type :)
So, I would probably up flygons special attack to equal its physical attack stat, and I would give it quiver dance to boot. This would allow flygon to run special attacking sets giving it more set variety.
Nice vid 👍 keep it up I don’t mind Flygon not necessarily being a pseudo leg but I rly wish it got a mega in ORAS especially considering that it’s a hoenn mon
All Flygon really needs is a stat buff. Its movepool and typing have always been good, but 100/100 attack and speed and 80 everywhere else just doesn't cut it these days. also Desert Control is like 4 abilities rolled into one lmao
I always thought they should just change Flygon into a Fast Special Sweeper. Let it keep its typing and have Bug Coverage. But making its Speed like 105/110 and busting its Sp Attack to 115 or so. Allows it to function within its typing and differentiate itself from Garchomp by being slightly faster and more Specially oriented.
Would be cool if he got like a ground/dragon flying press and a ability that boost his attack by 50% and immunity to hazards on sand, would be a reason to use sand teams nowadays, otherwise tinted lens is just better
love idea of it hidden ability and second ability you give him, giving him choice either be part of sandstorm team or be independent attacker that don't have to worry about opponent switching Pokemon as no type is immune to bug moves, (and good riddance it don't have too afraid from an ice type move). One thing nitpick I say is the move first impression you didn't showed , which we would good but I guess it was unnecessary as it knows quiver dance and leech life
I think maybe increasing evo level to 48-50 would be much better. In a Gen 3 Pokémon, 65 is too late (and we all know Hydreigon and its ilk suffer); I like the typing but I think to help it stand out from several others, it should be a special type and lean into the sound moves since so many of its sec entries refer to singing. It would get greater use from quiver dance and could use Bug Buzz, Boomburst and Alluring Voice(as a reference to its Dex). Being special would also boost Earth Power and Scorching Sands which again pull on its “Spirit of the Desert” references
I get why people want flygon to be bug/dragon, but to me it's more interesting (and probably more viable) if ot kept its ground/dragon typing despite being a bug
What about giving Flygon Compound Eyes and Megahorn? Flygon would dominate the metagame with STAB Megahorns or boosted Quiver Dances. The moves mentioned would be nearly 100% accurate with Compound Eyes.
I've been against Bug/Dragon Flygon because I think it's stupid to get rid of its immunity to the sandstorms in creates. Desert Control's a good idea, but that should be its only ability, or it should get Sand Veil/Rush/Force, too. Unless you can rom hack enough to make whole new abilities in existing games, I think it's better off as a Ground-type with Sand Stream, and it becomes more of a special attacker so it doesn't get completely beat out by Garchomp.
If youre doing a video on Aggron I think the base stats should be: HP - 70 --> 100 ATT - 110 --> 130 DEF - 180 --> 160 SpA - 60 --> 70 SpD - 60 --> 90 SPE - 50 --> 50 and for the Mega Form: HP - 100 --> 100 ATT - 130 --> 150 DEF - 160 --> 180 SpA - 70 --> 80 SpD - 90 --> 150 SPE - 50 --> 40 also for the hidden ability of base aggron I'd swap that for something like Mold Breaker, Iron Fist, Filter/Solid Rock (they do the same thing), or Intimidate
Flygon stats should have been 80/110/80/100/80/100 with speed boost. Now it has speed boost every turn, atk is higher and sp.atk is more useful so your opponent won’t know what set it is. If psuedo compound eyes with stats of 90/120/80/110/80/120. Very good speed tier better offenses and slightly bulkier. Faster version of Salamance but different typing.
Curious to see what you would pick for a new Johto pseudo, pretty sure the only option basically would be Ampharos which would be pretty interesting since you can get mareep so early, could tie in with how strong it is to light up a whole lighthouse
The Evolution level is ludicrous, i would accept 50 at most for an increase as even Garchomp is 48. The bug type is a bit overboard, but does help it stand out a bit. Perhaps Bug/Ground to distinguish even more? Dragon isn't even a very good type anymore, and i feel like Yanmega deserves Bug/Dragon more. 10 points removed from Special attack doesn't feel good when Flygon was seemingly built for being flexible all around. Not the worst change, but i might just suggest fewer points allocated to HP. Finally the ability is cool, but signature abilities are getting out of hand. This does 3 whole unique effects for Flygon, and powercreep is real in Pokemon. Cool video though
To be honest, level 65 is way too high. There's a reason why I wouldn't choose Deino as the hypothetical Dark starter. This is because Deino immediately sucks. Its egregious evolution levels of 50 and 64 would instantly disqualify it. Could you imagine not being able to evolve your starter a single time until it reaches level 50?
Alright, here’s my changes for flygon: HP: +15 (from 80 to 95) Attack: +5 (from 100 to 105) Defence: +10 (from 80 to 90) Special Attack: +25 (from 80 to 105) Special Defence: +15 (from 80 to 95) Speed: +10 (from 100 to 110) So…I guess I just made it even more well-rounded? Me not making a Pokémon that could be turned into a pseudo absolutely busted? Crazy.
Both dragon dance AND quiver dance? You made a monster Plus 130 speed so it outspeeds basically most things FELL STINGER? with what stinger lmao tinted lens 😭. Forget desert control tinted lens first impressions tera bug! Lokix sit down for a minute
Level 65 is kinda a bit much considering majority of Pseudo Legendaries evolve at or before level 55. Besides the only pokemon trainer who has pokemon in the 60s before post game is usually the champion. I think keeping Flygon’s original evolution level is fine but if you’re gonna adjust it I’d say level 55.
Lowering the sp attack is a big no for me, especially with quiver and its special coverage. It should have equal att and sp attack so it can do both and be a true monster. Also lvl 65 is wild. Should be like 58
Desert control is too packed imo. Having three effects on a single talent is Calyrex level which is no no. Desert control could be something like No Sandstorm damage while double the damage taken from Sandstorm by opponent. Having a semi Salt cure on a pokemon with few weaknesses and roost is sufficiently menacing.
I like changing its type to Bug/Dragon but wtf with the other changes. Giving it QD but decreasing its special attack?! Also 130 speed is way too much. That new ability is broken. And evolving at level 65 is just crazy.
tinted lens first impression and u turn? its still different than lokix bc it gets sucker/knock. also at 3:50 ish, just give it sand force. 30% boost in sand and immunity
Naw Desert Control is hella weird cuz it would literally make the default Sand Stream obsolete like whats the point of having two versions of sandstorms? Why even use Tyranitar or Sandstorm (move) at that point when Flygon just increases damage by 10%? Levitate and Tinted lense are already good enough
Level 65 means that it’s not available for any level capped play through, which means I do not approve whatsoever. Bug dragon, whereas ground dragon is incredible. It’s considered an elemental avatar of the desert, so I’ve never agreed to this change in any case.
Good job calling it a pseudo like it should be and not this "powerhouse" garbage. That being said, i disagee with the evolution level. I think 55 to match mostly everyone else that doesnt suffer from unova evolution level syndrome is good enough. More of them are under that number than above. Though that also partially depends on the game itself and its level scaling.
Why does everyone think Flygon should be a bug-dragon? Every discussion about him somehow seems to think it's thematic or a buff of some sort; It's a horrible typing. (You aren't the only one to make this suggestion) It's called the spirit of the desert and people think it should a bug rather then ground? You want to buff its typing make it a ground-fairy (still unique type but doesn't suck balls) I guess I disagree'd with you so hard I had to make a comment, I wouldn't say I like the changes you've made at all. You cooked in other videos you've made so this was a disappointment. If you took the time to read this though, I hope you have a good day dude.
This is literally sand stream with the tiniest bit of sand force. Given its supposed to be a pseudo in this video, that sounds accurately powered for a change made in gen 9. The sand immunity is basically the same thing that sand force and sand rush do so that might as well not even count towards it being "insane". It's also only a 10% boost which isn't a whole lot
i’ve gotten alot of comments about the evolution level… safe to say you guys are right. 🥸
Make Hyokomon/Butenmon/Chronomon HM Line Into A Pokemon!PLEASE!
If your trying to make a pseudo the best way is to make it like the garchomp line zero to hero Mon the first stage is super weak it has to evolve
At least late 20s to mid 30s then the middle stage has to have atleast above 390 base stat and at maximum 410 to not outshine the rest of your mons and starter but is still noticeable strong then the final stage atleast evolve late 40s to early 50s to fulfill the zero to hero journey
65? FAR TOO HIGH!
“What if Flygon was cracked?” Would have been a more fitting title
Since Flygon was born with balanced stats around the board, I would keep it that way:
-
Dragon/Bug
-
110 HP
110 Atk
80 Def
100 Sp.Atk
98 Sp.Def
102 Speed

I have a very similar perspective; Stealth Rock hinders this pokemon alot in terms of competitive play, so the buffs that may seem overpowered are actually in balance with power creep for Gen 9 OU and smogon. I also like your rework of Desert Control. Appreciate the feedback from you! :)
I feel like 55 in a sandstorm would be great for evolution standards
Can we get Nidoqueen as a pseudo? Also I think turning it into a bug type makes it worse 😭
dope concept 🤘🏼
thanks dawg 🤝
level 65 is insane, what makes flygon a better choice to run on a team over metagross or salamance is the fact he is easy to get and evolves in a point where he can actually be of some use, making it evolve at 65 will kill any reason to even catch its pre evo, somewhere between level 50 or 55 would be the sweet point for it to evolve
I fall in love with this video series, you get my sub and I really sure that your channel will growing up so fast
Greetings from Spain :3
I think it should be a ground bug type rather than a bug dragon type, but I understand the uniqueness of bug dragon as well.
Yeah bug ground is better as a typing because if flygon becomes bug dragon then it can't even hit fairy types for neutral because fairy resists bug and is immune to dragon
interesting take! thanks for the feedback.
@@IStillPlayWhite2Ideally desert control would simply add the ground typing to flygon making it bug, dragon, and ground type.
@@NobodyDungeons in a sense, yes! his ability gives him 10% damage to rock and ground moves so its a nice lil nod to the fact that he used to be a ground type :)
@@IStillPlayWhite2I think it should straight up just give the ground type because it really doesn’t feel right without three types.
So, I would probably up flygons special attack to equal its physical attack stat, and I would give it quiver dance to boot. This would allow flygon to run special attacking sets giving it more set variety.
i LOVE FLYGON!!!!!!!! second favorite pokémon of all time
Nice vid 👍 keep it up
I don’t mind Flygon not necessarily being a pseudo leg but I rly wish it got a mega in ORAS especially considering that it’s a hoenn mon
We getting flygon in the post game with this one 🗣️🗣️🗣️
Banger vid bug types are baller
love idea of it hidden ability and second ability you give him, giving him choice either be part of sandstorm team or be independent attacker that don't have to worry about opponent switching Pokemon as no type is immune to bug moves, (and good riddance it don't have too afraid from an ice type move). One thing nitpick I say is the move first impression you didn't showed , which we would good but I guess it was unnecessary as it knows quiver dance and leech life
Thanks! That was my exact intention regarding its abilities. I also did mention first impression at 1:30 :)
@@IStillPlayWhite2 I guess I miss it...
I think maybe increasing evo level to 48-50 would be much better. In a Gen 3 Pokémon, 65 is too late (and we all know Hydreigon and its ilk suffer);
I like the typing but I think to help it stand out from several others, it should be a special type and lean into the sound moves since so many of its sec entries refer to singing. It would get greater use from quiver dance and could use Bug Buzz, Boomburst and Alluring Voice(as a reference to its Dex). Being special would also boost Earth Power and Scorching Sands which again pull on its “Spirit of the Desert” references
Would be cool if you done the same with poor Haxorus
Who says that video wouldnt be made? ;)
Whose stronger mega nidoking or mega flygon
Lv 65 is way too much bro
65 is so unhinged
5:51 Okay this could be a regional form for a region based off of where antlions live, or maybe even Israel?
I get why people want flygon to be bug/dragon, but to me it's more interesting (and probably more viable) if ot kept its ground/dragon typing despite being a bug
I don't think the new hidden ability is fair though, It has no reason to have a better ability than Tyranitar. But I like tinted lens a lot :))
I respect your perspective! My intention was to make it more on par as a "ground type" with some of those benefits included in the ability.
If youre doing a video on Aggron I think the base stats should be:
HP - 70 --> 100
ATT - 110 --> 130
DEF - 180 --> 160
SpA - 60 --> 70
SpD - 60 --> 90
SPE - 50 --> 50
and for the Mega Form:
HP - 100 --> 100
ATT - 130 --> 150
DEF - 160 --> 180
SpA - 70 --> 80
SpD - 90 --> 150
SPE - 50 --> 40
also for the hidden ability of base aggron I'd swap that for something like Mold Breaker, Iron Fist, Filter/Solid Rock (they do the same thing), or Intimidate
Could you imagine not being able to evolve your starter a single time until it reaches level 50?
how does this have 234 views in 4 hours ago (will change soon enough)
this needs a lot more attention.
Like most of my videos, I just gotta wait for the algorithm to do its thing :) Thanks alot man
@@IStillPlayWhite2 no problem. rlly plan to see more of these videos with other types that aren't dragon Pokemon.
@@bencilwave-the I appreciate it! Theres alot more Pseudo pokemon I can create in the near future :)
Alright, here’s my changes for flygon:
HP: +15 (from 80 to 95)
Attack: +5 (from 100 to 105)
Defence: +10 (from 80 to 90)
Special Attack: +25 (from 80 to 105)
Special Defence: +15 (from 80 to 95)
Speed: +10 (from 100 to 110)
So…I guess I just made it even more well-rounded? Me not making a Pokémon that could be turned into a pseudo absolutely busted? Crazy.
At that point it’s just worse Garchomp which it is already
@@LightningIgnisThey made Flygon an even more mid Garchomp by basically giving it a tweaked version of Mew's BST spread
@@devilrider39000000 yeah that’s the problem with Flygon it’s literally just objectively worse Garchomp
Both dragon dance AND quiver dance?
You made a monster
Plus 130 speed so it outspeeds basically most things
FELL STINGER? with what stinger lmao
tinted lens 😭. Forget desert control tinted lens first impressions tera bug!
Lokix sit down for a minute
YOU COOKED, Also this was edited in DaVinci Resolve I'm guessing from that paper edge border.
Should have also gave him bug buzz and lunge to give him a good physical nad sp. Atking move. Also i would have raised his special atk than his attack
Me, an idiot: ....is he not??
Lowering the sp attack is a big no for me, especially with quiver and its special coverage. It should have equal att and sp attack so it can do both and be a true monster. Also lvl 65 is wild. Should be like 58
Give it sand rush, can make sense, then swap attack with speed
Desert control is too packed imo.
Having three effects on a single talent is Calyrex level which is no no.
Desert control could be something like
No Sandstorm damage while double the damage taken from Sandstorm by opponent.
When aggron🙏
Not sure, but its a Pokemon I want to cover in the future! I have alot on the roster currently :)
Naw Desert Control is hella weird cuz it would literally make the default Sand Stream obsolete like whats the point of having two versions of sandstorms? Why even use Tyranitar or Sandstorm (move) at that point when Flygon just increases damage by 10%? Levitate and Tinted lense are already good enough
guess who recorded the outro :D
also chandelure is still better
will be checking to see if this blew up
Give it a day and we should be a little more solid 🏄 I do have to give credit to you for the outro yall

What if Aggron was a pseudo legendary ?
Level 65 means that it’s not available for any level capped play through, which means I do not approve whatsoever.
Bug dragon, whereas ground dragon is incredible. It’s considered an elemental avatar of the desert, so I’ve never agreed to this change in any case.
Can you do aggron next bro.
Can you do a fixing charizard video I lt would be very interesting to see what an ou viable charizard that isn't gen 2 or 3 would look like
Just give him a Mega
It's evolution level was fine. It's literally the same as Metagross. No need to push it back that much
I think sandforce would have been enough
Good job calling it a pseudo like it should be and not this "powerhouse" garbage.
That being said, i disagee with the evolution level. I think 55 to match mostly everyone else that doesnt suffer from unova evolution level syndrome is good enough. More of them are under that number than above.
Though that also partially depends on the game itself and its level scaling.
Appreciate the feedback man! :)

Does flygon get mega horn
Make Arboliva a pseudo legend
Why does everyone think Flygon should be a bug-dragon? Every discussion about him somehow seems to think it's thematic or a buff of some sort; It's a horrible typing. (You aren't the only one to make this suggestion)
It's called the spirit of the desert and people think it should a bug rather then ground?
You want to buff its typing make it a ground-fairy (still unique type but doesn't suck balls)
I guess I disagree'd with you so hard I had to make a comment, I wouldn't say I like the changes you've made at all. You cooked in other videos you've made so this was a disappointment.
If you took the time to read this though, I hope you have a good day dude.
65 is unusable for playthroughs
50 is much more suitable
Did you put quiver dance on a pokemon with 70 base special attack 😑
Yeah Quiver dance is the best setup move in the game you can’t give it to an absurdly busted Pokémon
"I'm swapping out it's ground type for the bug type" and with that you killed it, no amount of stat buffs is saving it
Lmao the rest of it is busted enough to more than make up for it. And we're long overdue for a Bug/Dragon type.
Lvl 65 evo... Yeah no.
Sorry, but best I can do for evolution level is 55
I Just like the New ability. The rest is to much.
I disagree with the levels because garchomp exists
also considering how you can get it early mid game
Some pokemon I always thought should be considered Pseudo
-Magnezone
-Gallade/Gardevior
-Mamoswine
-Conkeldurr
-Alakazam
-Haxorus
-Excadrill
Fu k it
Give it 999 on every stat
Pokemon fans try not to make an insane ability for their favourite, shitty pokemon
What are you malding about?
If you call Sand Stream and a slight damage buff overpowered, than suit yourself 😃
