He's a pretty good picker, and his voice is exceptional. Since I stumbled across him I have been a fan. His writing talent is akin to many of the greats.
It was. Was there mainly for Colter but some guy named WB Walker was there at a different show a month prior to this and he was really talking up Tyler Childers so I made sure we were there front and center. And then Tyler comes up to me wanting to know if I'll chug the rest of my High Life so he can spit snuff in the bottle. I'm a pretty nice guy and all but I"m way past my chugging years so I grabbed another bottle I had already emptied and gave it to him. We got along pretty good after that. But saw Colter again in Frankfort KY this month. Obviously he's dropped the kick drum but WOW what a great show. He's a true student of his music.
I love seeing live music at Tootles. Much smaller venue than a place like Bluestone and you can get way closer to the musicians. The result is a much better sounding video. I hope Colter is enjoying his tour of the REAL Appalachia! I was very privileged to meet him and buy him a couple beers over these past couple months. Great young man!
he's talked about how his singing voice back then was super uncomfortable and painful. I didn't understand it but i can kinda hear it in the first song how it's a bit crackling.
Funny how back then he was not as popular… must’ve been quite a ride to go to pub to hear to this random guy who appears like he just finished high school but sounds like he drank whiskey out of devil sweat
I've been watching his vids for a few weeks now. Mesmerizing artist. Stone cold star material. What the hell is wrong with country music? ...this guy is ready! The crap they try to feed us! Frustrating!! Original talented and just freakin bad ass! Man music finally!
eighthavenue I just want to encourage everyone who watches these UA-cam vids to buy his album Imaginary Appalachia if you haven't done so already. UA-cam views are great but Colter doesn't make a dime from it. It takes money to make money
how does that crowd not come unglued after "Kate McCannon" !! Losers! They must be waiting for a Garth Brooks cover! There mut not be anyone from Ohio there! This guy is unbelievable! !
I think Colter signed a deal with the devil because he's had me in a trance since I first came across him. God, I love his songs.
Such a rustic voice, makes me wanna go outside and just be on a ranch somewhere
Amen
he’s a goddamn storyteller
it’s mesmerizing
I saw him do Silent Night in WV before Christmas a few years ago. I do believe his soul is rightly placed with Jesus.
This is the best Townes cover I have heard. Well done.
This is history right here. Colter Wall opening up for Tyler Childers. Jeez it’s awesome
I agree. His whole set was. I recommend following this guy he is a rising star and really good with his fans. Can't wait for his next record
Tony Gunter you were right

Love this kids music hopefully Nashville won't chew him up. He has a real talent and can be really special
He too good for Nashville. And has proven it for the last 4 years
bingo sir .... but they will make him rich beyond his wildest dreams once he sells his soul
HAH! nashville doesn't welcome talent unless they have a stylist, stupid haircuts, hipster skinny jeans and songs writ for 5th graders
townes cover was awesome
i commented before i got to this Amen Wow!
He was opening for tyler childers? That must of been one hell of a show

You can see how he captivated this audience as well! A great storyteller of our time.
I think I would have freaked the fuck out on these rude fucking people. a legend being spoken over like this really grinds my gears.

Awesome, just awesome. I wonder if his old man Saskatchewan Premier loved him singing "don't trust politicians" though. Ha.
