@@glowytheglowbug that sounds like a movie title. “World War Scrap - In theaters now.” On second thought, that’s a good thing. Someone make this into a movie, please!
I wonder how this would behave with pulsating pistons? Using the pulsating pistons method could cut your switches down to 2 per arm so you won't need 2 separate seats for each arm. Either way, very cool idea! I always look forward to your builds!
honestly, the fastest wouldve been to take an engine crank it all the way up, put some blocks and bearings on all sides so you can put a drill on all surfaces and drop it in the whole and watch the carnage it would be like a stone mining roomba or... moonba...sorry i had to
Hey Moonbo a much less laggy way of mining can be done using a massive block of cardboard and modded lasers, or in modded saws if you can come up with a way to make them work more efficiently for mining cardboard. I’ve made big cave systems in a big cardboard block tho and it’s a lot of fun
@@whusmanameAtGeeMail probably, but I think that explosives might create less lag than drills, because they would simultaneously destroy overlapping stones.
@@bow-tiedengineer4453 I think it's the rocks themselves that are causing the lag, since each rock then becomes a separate "creation" and the calculation of collisions between all the creations is what causes the lag, even though the drills aren't in contact with anything, the rocks themselves are colliding.
you could try pulsating pistons. one set for the X axis, one set for the Z axis and one for the Y. like one of those crane games in the fair, this way you can mine absolutely everything from one corner to the oposite. that would look sick too and be a lag fest...
I feel like you could have definitely kept it up if you did an opposing piston setup. You know, 5 sets extended up and then 10 contracted sets that extend down. You start off by contracting the extended pistons and once you reach the limit of that set you then extend further. Will you be putting this tile on the workshop? I'd love to take a whack at it. My computer's looking up the cost of ammonium nitrate right now. . . .
Can you do this again but make it so the drill has away to pick up the giant rocks that come lose like more realistic because in real life they can't simply delete the big rocks
@@Moonbo Well I mean that's fair xD They really need to get someone on board who actually knows how to work with a physics engine. They're just letting the phys engine "do it's thing" without actually understanding anything about it, and certainly not how to begin optimising. Admitted as much in recent dev blog.
Axolot : Mines wont come until chapter 2
Moonbo : Fine i'll do it myself
Since you and Kan are making war things, you should compete in an arms race.
The kAN-Moonbo Cold War.
That would be sick

this got me excited for chapter 2
Bro same
Best video
Started off with a “no stream tap to retry” and I’m happy it stayed that way for eternity. Very interesting

You’re not ‘part’ of the mining company, you ARE the mining company!
Also I love these types of videos
This would be a great idea for multi player Monday.
edit
a drilling competition
The lag tho…. Oof. Great idea 😅
Anyone else start drooling at the sight of all those delicious resources?
I think this is a good idea for Multiplayer Monday

You should fill the cracks at the bottom with lights to simulate lava
this could be a interesting multi player monday challenge
Hey moonbo that is such a smart way to do it(mining into the ground using rocks). I would have never thought of that.👍
DESTRUCTIBLE ENVIRONMENTS!!!
night rainbows are called moonbows
Any chance you can share that tile on the WS? I've got some ideas I wanna try.
7:19 and pause the video. got me dying
I was wondering if anyone else noticed anything

You should mine out the entire pit with explosives and see how many resources it contains if you actually refined it all.
Lagfest? I think so.

Omg that pit is so cool imagine it in survival
You make my day sometimes.
Now moonbo is preparing to make an underground bunker to hide from kan bomber🤯:)
I know scrap mechanic is your game, but these kind of machines are why I love play space engineers.
this is a genius idea i never thought of
Hey moonbo! You should use the smaller square rocks so you dont have to manually delete them
Why didn't you use the repeating crane system using logic so you had more finite control?
Behold the moonbo super deep borehole
Leaked footage of chapter 2?!
So as your name has moon in it I would love to see like a moon base kind of style of build sometime.

His concepts are so cool he inspires me so much keep up the good content I have been watching since 2019
Is the tile on the steam workshop somewhere?
Rock and Stone
Great video
i think moonbo forgot you can connect more than five bearings to an engine now, since he put down two for the drills and there are only a few
Not gonna lie, now i want Underground mining in scrap mechanic. I just want to have a big Quarry in my survival world
same that be awsome
Anyone else stuck watching this in 360p?
can I get a link to the mine tile?

hmm strange It says “no stream tap to retry”
I love it
Can we Have more SM Survival?
Why is the maximum picture quality on 360p... is it because the video file was to big or something...?
So you made a quarry miner
Make a drill with no crane
43 sec and i see the vid love your vids moombo
Miss you 😘

"I'm going to build a drill that can mine to the bottom!"
*manually removes all rocks with mod powers*
"This was a success!"
... bruh
No stream
Tap to retry
Edit: 40 Min Later And It Works
Just like so
You should keep going till it say your playing the game wrong like when scrapman made that volcano
Why is the max qualiti on 360p

Sorry bud, but just taking everything out on the lift and deleting ruined it for me. Solve the problem like a true scrap mechanic, not a lazy admin!
If the game could run at more then 1 FPS I would love to...
