I bought one Dell silver 7306 one month and a half ago for a Christmas present. When we opened it we had a bad surprise. It is almost impossible to see the letters and symbols on the keyboard even though the maximum backlight is set. The light proceeding from the screen makes it impossible. It is very difficult to use it with this incomprehensible error in the design. Although Dell has acknowledged the issue, they have not solved it, due to the time elapsed from purchase to opening. Don't buy the silver model.

I purchased brand new lenovo yoga c640, unfortunately the unit does not perform according to its specification since the first time setting. Touchscreen does not work. Currently the unit is in service. It is purchased for service, not ready to use..
The Lenovo Flex 5 14" with AMD seems to be the best bang for the buck. If you want something more premium, the Dell XPS laptops are all excellent choices. They would be even better if they were running AMD.

It's best to look at ram processor ssd and then visit bestbuy etc to see the build quality and pick one, or else be like my girlfriend who was confused that she just got macbook air 2017 in 2020, design that's 12 years old.

XPS 13 and 15 are having major battery problems. The battery is under the track pad and swells pushing the track pad up causing it to be unusable. I can't find anything on that happening with the XPS 17. But is seems to use the same battery. This swelling is happening about the one year mark. Only solution I can see is get a new battery every 10 months. But Dell is having so many battery issues they are sending out refurbished batteries. Look at the Asus and Lenovo.
